I see expensive intensive rainwater harvesting methods but what about simpler, low-tech methods such as gully repair and rainwater harvesting earthworks such as check dams, bonds, swales, etc? Frequent, smaller, high-placed, well placed earthworks can raise the water table and replenish established wells, this is durable and cheap. They are simpler and forgo pump and pipess that break down and wear out. They are cheaper, too, which makes them more accessible to more people
