Probably because Danny DeVito happens to be a true Faith No More/Mike Patton fan and they're friends. There's a vid of FNM performing live at Coachella (performing Just a man - 2010 I think) and half way through Danny runs across the stage, it cracks Mike up while he's trying to sing.
How can you not love Mike Patton dude could be a megastar if he had an ego and played the game with the phonies and brown nosers. But he chose to be himself and never sold out. An absolute legend for sure. And Devito needs no words
I tweeted Glenn Howerton (Dennis) and asked him that a year or two ago. Because hes a big fan of Patton also. Of course, no reply. Celeb types and their insistence on not replying to fans on twitter, I dont get it.
Andys Videos/Bungle Boy Videos He mentioned in an interview that they had asked him once and that he wanted to do it but scheduling was a problem and they've never asked again.
Danny Devito hired Mike & Dan Nakamura to perform with a couple others at an ‘It’s Aways Sunny in Philly’ cast & crew party back in 2007 if memory serves correct.
2 of the coolest men on the planet having a chat. Wish De Vito was in more movies these days. And Patton needs to do a pure solo record without the experimentation ( which I love) but I think if he does and focuses on making a great "pop" record he'll come up with something amazing with all the musical experience and collaboration he's had over the years. Just my opinion.
I agree. Mike has never done a pure, simple pop record. I wish he would. Peeping Tom is not a pop record at all. It's great. But he should do something really straightforward for once
When FNM played Coachella in 2009, I was fortunate enough to be in the first row. About half way through the set, Danny DeVito ran across the stage with his shirt open and hands in the air. Mike Patton reacted as you might expect. I had no idea what was going on.
If we had to send one person to meet aliens, in order to show the beauty of people from this planet.... Danny DeVito would be the guy to send. All I ever read is how nice of a guy he is.
I know patton likes to play in philly, ive seen him on 5 different occasions with 4 different bands. So Im thinking he might not mind coming to town to shoot an episode of "always sunny". Even if he just played himself it would be awesome.
these 2 guys on screen at the same time is bliowng my mind
"The Gang joins Faith No More"
"The Gang Meets Mr Bungle"
The Gang Searches the Desert for Techno Allah
The Gang's Asses are on fire
The Gang cares a lot
@@FuttBuckerson87 The Gang just hit midlife crisis
Mike could play Mac's long lost brother. XD
Or Mac's dad.
Perfect for the role of brother. Macs dad is already a character
macs greasy uncle maybe haha
That would be great
Great idea
Mike's basically the only one from a 90s band that still looks good.
Axl rose?????? I'm kidding
not anymore lmao
@@luckyducki hahahaha
Anthony kiedis too.
Have you seen Corey Taylor, 8 years later and man looks yummy

The perfect crossover doesn't exist...
This is the oddest combination of any two people in a serious interview that I have ever seen.
Christ on a bike!
How can you not love Mike Patton dude could be a megastar if he had an ego and played the game with the phonies and brown nosers. But he chose to be himself and never sold out. An absolute legend for sure. And Devito needs no words
Danny totally looks like the clown on the front of the eponymous Mr. Bungle album cover XD
I was just thinking exactly that! XD
It's actually Danny, they've known each other that long.
@@123612100 that is not true
@@SchizoidBastard 😎
Someone needs to make that meme
Mike Patton seems like such a cool guy to hang out and kick it with
'Ahhh... life...'
'Tell me.'
'It's like so good.'
'Damn straight.'
Mike HAS to be in an episode of IASIP down the line.
I tweeted Glenn Howerton (Dennis) and asked him that a year or two ago. Because hes a big fan of Patton also. Of course, no reply. Celeb types and their insistence on not replying to fans on twitter, I dont get it.
breadbitten We need a petition to get Mike on an episode of It's Always Sunny. That would be a glorious moment in television.
breadbitten funny cus digging the grave and ugly in the morning were on an episode of sunny
+Sam Atilano I'll sign it.
Andys Videos/Bungle Boy Videos He mentioned in an interview that they had asked him once and that he wanted to do it but scheduling was a problem and they've never asked again.
Awww...the last glimpses of the pre-Danny-Devito-becoming-Frank days..
Danny Devito hired Mike & Dan Nakamura to perform with a couple others at an ‘It’s Aways Sunny in Philly’ cast & crew party back in 2007 if memory serves correct.
Mike Patton is all about owning it - he's the boss of bosses...
Kevin Glaz But what.is.it.
@@BabylonCentral IT
WHAT IS IT
This is a strange combination.
Love these guys!
Love both of these guys. Amazing actor and great musician.
Mike Patton looks like another character from Philly)
Mac's dad?
Mac
It's a travesty that he hasn't appeared on Aqua Teen Hunger Force yet; in fact I'd say it's a *_double-travesty,_* if it didn't take twice as long.
He could be Macs brother or cousin on an episode. The new country Mac?
Dude this is rad. I love these meetings of celebrities from way different backgrounds.
I love the excitement on Mike's face when Danny say, "You're the best." "Nice." "Aces..."
At 3:27, it's like Mike pushed the question off the screen.
I always thought the Always Sunny bit where Frank is eating a sandwich during an interview was a tip of the cap to Mike Patton doing that decades ago
Danny Devito is the only man who can make Mike Patton look tall.
Isnt Mike taller than most of the band members in Faith No More? I think Roddy is the tallest of the band.
He's not short..Mike is at LEAST 185cm or 5'10. At least. I'm 175cm-5'7 and he was taller than me. At age 22 up to 27..unless he's shrunk since then.
@@Gigi1111Layna 185cm is 6'1 not 5'10, 5'10 is 180cm. 175cm is 5'9 not 5'7, and Mike is actually around 5'9 so maybe you're a bit shorter than that.
@@ernestofr128 5'9 sounds about right
i genuinely love you both!!! ✌🏽☀️❤️✌🏽
He NEEDS to be in an episode of It's Always Sunny
A date with Mike...dreamy.
All right! Mike Patton, native of Eureka, California. Makes me proud :D
The food Patton described at the end sounds so good right now lol
Mike knocks on my door, he may as well accept responsibility for the decline of my marriage
Sounds like it already is
Wow! That was pretty fucken cool! Danny De Vito and Mike Patton chatting. Awesome.

Um he already did years ago - you must have missed Peeping Tom?!
Mishella Fortune Even then though, it had some pretty out there moments. Obviously nothing on the level of early Mr. Bungle but still.
That's exactly what Peeping Tom is.
I agree. Mike has never done a pure, simple pop record. I wish he would. Peeping Tom is not a pop record at all. It's great. But he should do something really straightforward for once
two of my favorites
Fun fact: They played "Digging the Grave" on IASIP episode "Being Frank"
And Ugly in the Morning same episode.
Is Danny DeVito the clown on the cover of the self titled Mr.Bungle album?
no
He totally is! I guess...
i think this is maybe Jacques Villeret, a french actor
No, its from a comic book.
That clown looks like he's receiving a BJ from an underage
This is the greatest thing I’ve ever seen
This is so awesome. Love its always sunny, and mike's the man.
Top 10 anime crossovers: #1
12 years later, this shows up on my feed. Damn I miss myspace.
When worlds collide. Danny DeVito is a legend who has always supported great talents
When FNM played Coachella in 2009, I was fortunate enough to be in the first row. About half way through the set, Danny DeVito ran across the stage with his shirt open and hands in the air. Mike Patton reacted as you might expect. I had no idea what was going on.
Holy crap how did I not know of this video until now?!
If we had to send one person to meet aliens, in order to show the beauty of people from this planet....
Danny DeVito would be the guy to send.
All I ever read is how nice of a guy he is.
I vote patton.
They are buddies... the label I worked at shared an office in NYC with Ipecac (Mike's Label). Danny's daughter even worked there for a bit
God Bless these men
Good for Danny, always thought he was a cool guy.
mike should be on always sunny
Mike is the passive aggressive king
Never really sensed that of him.
"... three guys in a bar." Hahahaha! Left Sweet Dee out. That's so perfect.
ok i never knew they were close ... now i must see a Patton cameo on an 'Always Sunny' episode =D
I wonder if Myspace could ever make a comeback like Patton ..
Danny DeVito and Mike Patton together! They should’ve just let them talk to each other. Not the camera. Big potential blown.
The last line...priceless 😂😂😂
Dolph Lundgren should do an episode of Sunny.
He did
Are you a prophet
@@Bedangles A lot fo people actually think I have some insight into the future...

Inside the Actors Studio eat your heart out!!!
1:28 the stare
Ahh...the good old days of Myspace.
great minds think alike
Lmao the end is great
Next logical step is watching Batman Returns with no audio only Angel Dust on repeat
Many people don't know this, but Mike Patton is the great grandnephew of Gen. George S. Patton Jr.
Mike Patton should do a "Sunny is Phil" episode.. or/and cover 'night man'
Remember when MySpace mattered? Me either........
It did for a couple years, man. It did cause a lot of artists to blow up and some of them remain fairly large.
i love that their friends cause i love danny and i love fnm mike rocks
Danny did commentary on a Fantomas dvd with Buzz, Dale and Greg Wreckman, though.
Lol MySpace!
Patton should be on IASIP, his skeezy facial hair would fit right in
Now know who the inspiration for Mr bungles debut album cover was
Danny DeVito rules !
Of course Danny and Mike are friends. Why the fuck not
KISS ME MIKE!!! LOL
Now, that is cool!
@dommer117 its the theme tune to 'sex and the city' with mike patton going la la la over the top
Fucking epic couple is this dude!
Glenn Howerton is a fan of Mr. Bungle so this is pretty cool
He was married to an Italian girl and used to live in Bologna apparently.
the 'wind down' effect on that peeping tom song was used by fear factory too :p
Danny devito is out of his element, he not drunk
@BattleOfNY I was already prepared for that response. yes all the interior shots are filmed in LA but the exteriors are filmed on location
I didn't feel any shyness here. Awkward handshake/hug/highfives happen to everyone.
"a Mediterranean cafe on the Mediterranean." Sounds nice. You don't do coke Mike, who are you trying to fool?
Anywhere along the coast of the Adriatic Sea. Yep.
Danny is raaaaaaaaaaaaaambling

Well, I'm glad to hear that. But they did seem quite uncomfortable in this interview.
At least Danny did...
Ah myspace. A simpler times...
