I've driven so many different cars in my lifetime including my late husband's Range Rover but after owning an N Connecter 1.5 diesel Quashqai I don't think I'll change to anything else except a newer model in time. You get a lot of car for the price and safety features are great.
I bought a 1.2 petrol N-connecta with 18" wheels and auto (CVT) gearbox.. Previously I was a Honda CR-V man but wanted something smaller and lighter. Have had the (last of) previous model Qashqai $wd 2L diesel auto Tecna before, which was very reliable but not as nice to drive as the current CR-V Going from a more expensive car (36K down to 20K) it is unbelievable how good this car feels. The quality in everything is top notch, all the materials and switches have a great tactile sensation and feel built to last too. All except the imitation painted aluminium that I am trying to stop my terrier from scratching. So far I have done 8000km (yes, thousand) in 5 weeks and the car is excellent. The CVT box is effortless, smooth, and will not make the engine scream unless you go into kickdown, so I don't. I really can't praise this car enough for the money and now after a week and a half back at home I find myself contemplating another long tour. Well done Nissan. PS - Looks great too in red! PPS Can't believe my engine is only a 1.2????
Just put a deposit on mine today and ordered it from the factory, 1.2 turbocharged (equivalent to the old 1.6) Xtronic Dig-T N-connecta with comfort pack (sun roof and rails) in Gun Metal, I loved it after the test drive. I can't wait to pick her up! :)
+Arif Ramzan Yes I did, but in the automatic you don't really need to use it if it's in park. I did love all the tech in there, the cameras are brilliant, all in all they haven't skimped anywhere, it's fully loaded. And I love the lumbar support, it has to be the most comfortable car seat I've sat in to date.
I have ordered a new Qashqai, 1.6 Diesel, Xtronic 'Tekna' in Ink Blue - The test drive was beautiful so can't wait till next month to collect it. This is my 1st Nissan so hopefully not my last !! Great Review :)
Hi there. I cannot tell you specific MPG due to the varying journeys etc. What I can say is that my former car was 1600 cc and same tank capacity and I only use 3 tanks a month rather than 5 so I have saved about £80 pcm. Sorry if that doesn't help ?.
Keep a eye on the air-con failing I have a 2016 and the air-con failed. Took it to a specialist and was told they see a lot of Qashqai with the same problem one other besides my car was in for repairs.
@@mikejoneswho6753 o2 sensor past cat been replaced 3 times on my QQ also start / stop I feel the QQ got way to much tech I have now switched most of it off and so far no problems
I took a test drive in this and the button for the handbrake does get odd to get used to . I'm looking to get the Tekna model. Just looking for the best deals that would work with me .
I never use that handbrake button. The car automatically engages the handbrake when you switch off the engine, and it releases it when you start driving.
Think I'll wait for the Toyota C-HR, Psycho-maniac-wagon. If your'e going to go one of these cars you might as well have some fun with it. The rather bizarrely named, Renault 'Kadjar', is also much more interesting - me thinks.
Does anyone know if this qashqai traffic speed sign recognition can change from mph to km. Will be driving the not just in uk but in Ireland and france which are Kilometres. Any help much appreciated
Do not buy. Rattles breaks down Mpg is awful and no power you'll look a fool sitting on side of Rd Broken down. Honestly it's a load of rubbish. Don't believe me we'll buy one and find out

Another punchy review. Well done Carbuyer. Please can you tone down the music volume on your segways though!

I crashed my juke Tekna, planning one of these as a replacement. but it's a bit weird in this time around they don't put satnav on the basic model.
I think the new Tuscan will be getting my money this year.
Its the only game in its class at that price tag.
Keep a eye on the air-con failing

i prefer the smaller juke
Anyone know the measurements of the driver's legroom? I'm 6ft 4
I think Vauxhall should add the same Sat Nav that Is used In the Vauxhall Insigna
Qashqai's been out for years - why the review now?
+Five River Films Because it had a facelift last year. ;)
much easier on the eyes than the smaller juke, but then again so's a melted wellie !
Down to personal preference
Passenger side steering wheel?
Right mine doesn't work. And also air-con !
Don't know why Nissan didn't bring this to the US and call it the Rouge
can anybody tell me what the official colour is called in this video.
kniksman I think it's magnetic red
ahh yes. thanks Jamie
Where abouts on the Wirral were you filming?
+doctormac123 It was actually filmed in Waterloo :)
I noticed that at the end of the video when I recognised crosby beach.
