    Great and informative video! I'm doing some obsessive research about getting into UX with zero experience and was wondering if I should do UX design or UX research... definitely leaning moreso towards design since it encompasses research as well. Thank you so much for sharing!

      Thank you! UX design seems the most flexible to me for sure. I've been in UX design roles that have overlapped with UX research or UI design at times so it bring a lot of variety to the role 😊

    Your video is absolutely helpful and your voice is so calm, bravo 🙏🏿 Coming from a civil engineering background, I have always been interested in anything design related. I am also very interested in psychology and well being :) I'm graduating my Master's in IT and my thesis is on UI design and the impact of fonts to users psychology! Should I go for UX design or UX Researcher? I would like to apply the science of psychology (and research) a lot in my everyday job, as well as proposing web/app/service designs that can offer functionality and also be really attractive!

      Hey thank so much for your feedback on my videos, I really appreciate it :) If your torn between UX design or UX research I’d recommend finding a UX design role where you’d conduct the research. That way you’d get the best of both worlds, if you find you enjoy the research or design more you could move on to a role that is solely design or research. I hope this helps!

    Hi, I love the video. Just a quick question, do the positions get the same pay?

    • @JadeneDesigns
      @JadeneDesigns  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi thanks so much and I'd say this depends on the company. On average I've seen both positions paid around the same amount.
      Although if a UX designer has additional UI Design responsibilities they may be paid more than a researcher.

    I have zero experience and am in another degree program in school. I have a medical background as well. How can I become ux researcher and where should i showcase a portfolio? Thanks!

      Hey, thanks for commenting. You should check out Kevin Liang's channel. He is a UX researcher with a biology background - his videos will be perfect for you on how to become a UX researcher (I focus more on UX Designers with research responsibilities) My next video will share on UX Design portfolio's, platforms like WordPress and squarespace are good if you're just starting out.

      Same here. I have a healthcare background and currently enrolled to finish up my degree in information technology. I just applied for a ux researcher apprenticeship program…fingers cross they consider me and I get in.
