At first he lookd a cute and nice, but later on you realize there's something more evil behind it when you see that the smiling mouth is an evil eye in reality. It's just like Magolor himself, at first he seems like a poor and nice guy but in the end you find out that he's much more evil than it seems.
Man this game really holds the pinnacle point of Dedede not being a bad guy whatsoever. I mean, he's a playable character with the most cheery personality! Nothing nasty or greedy about this Dedede

I saw someone solo Magolor EX, It was pretty tough, and they actually didn't even use an ability, they just ate his projectiles and spat them at him. Didn't realize you could do that before then, and i guess a lot of us don't.
Fun fact: it is actually easier to fight bosses without using an ability bc when you use an ability you have to go in front of the boss while when you have no abilities you can stay far away from it (sorry for bad english)
I tend to think that the Crown's influence was less important than Magolor's own intent, his craving for the Crown. From the beginning Magolor is evil and deceptive, but the Crown gives him the capability to realize his powerful final form. Landia was probably good all along, and thus knew how to control the power it possessed. In short, I think Magolor's internal evil was only amplified by the aquisition of the Master Crown. "Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely."
I feel like that scream is magolor becoming sentient again after being possessed by the master crown, and realizing what he's done. He screams KIRRRBYYYY because he is dying (Soul bosses aren't canon) and I guess the 2nd part of the scream is an attempt to say sorry before death.
So, this are my thoughts about that: The Master Crown is a mytical crown that grants the one who posses it extraordinary powers, but however doesn´t corrupt him/her. As many people would try to steal it, Landia becomes the guardian that protects this crown from falling into the wrong hands. But, as Landia has good intentions, she doesn´t get corrupted by the crown. But when Kirby beats Landia and Magolor gets the crown, he gets corrupted because he has the most evil intentions.
"No reason"? I beg to differ. Landia was just protecting his territory. Besides, in extra mode after collecting all of the energy spheres, Magolor talks about how landia guards all of the relics the ancient race left behind, and that Magolor also excavated (stole) the Lor Starcutter from its resting place at the halcandran volcano. If anything, I think that's fair enough of a reason for Landia to attack Magolor.
When me and my sister were young we tried *SO HARD* and *SO LONG* to beat this guy but we sucked, we never got past the boat and eventually gave up. Years later we go back and beat him in five trys...-_-
When me and my brothers were young, we fought him and we beat him. Toon a good amount of tries. On the final try, one of my brothers that was Kirby, was on his last slither of health. He was flying in the top right corny trying to avoid getting hit and me (who was Waddle Dee) and the oldest (who was Meta Knight) got in the final hits and beat him. That has to be the most triumphant I've ever felt after beating a boss in a game. It was so awesome
I have to ask tho, how old were y'all when y'all tried and gave up and how old were y'all when you guys tried again. I was about 8 when beat it. I'm 17 now. I got this game for my 8 birthday btw. Sorry for. My rambling. I doubt you'll read this
@GhoullyXX The swords don't reach the corners. The top corners are the safest spots when he is swinging his swords separately at 7:50 but in the final slashes at 8:00 you have the bottom corners are the safest spots. I found that out by luck during my final round with him in the True Arena, it was among the most closest battles I ever had. I really need upload my playthrough soon to show you.
I feel like none of the Kirby villains are actually evil besides Dark Matter. I think they are all just chaotic neutral. They do bad things, but then they also help Kirby out at times. Magalor Soul Ex was legitimately challenging. I feel like most of the Kirby final bosses are clones of either Drawcia, Marx, King Dedede, or Dark Matter, but at least they always have some differentiating factors. Like with Magalor you have to fight his ship and he has an alt forme after you beat his first forme. And he has several abilities based off of the ultra copy abilities.

I just realized that Soul Melting Anticipation (the theme just before the true final boss) is the escape cutscene at the end of the Magolor battle. Why do so many people misspell "Magolor" as "Magalor" anyway?
you know theres a way to negate the blackhole at the beginning. just dispose of your ability as soon as you regain control. this also makes him not clap too stun you.
I like to believe that Landia didn't get corrupted by the crown because It has 4 heads, and in turn, 4 consciences that keep it stable, unlike Magolor. Because magolor only has one mind, it was a lot easier to corrupt than 4 minds working in synchronization. "But what about when landia separates?" I believe when Landia separates, they are still able to communicate and think telepathically between each other. It's still one mind, but 4 separate bodies.

Thats the whole point of Soul bosses, as they are supposed to look zombified as most of the time, they are undead. Not sure about Magolor Soul though.
