Upper Calibur on Meta Knight Sword in Forgotten Land makes it literally the most broken ability available before the post-game. It literally shreds bosses apart.
I love how the move was an inspiration for his Smash Ultimate final Smash, Darkness Illusion. Probably should have changed the name to the original though.
With the games being in development around the same time, I doubt it was the inspiration for his Final Smash and was merely a coincidence. His Final Smash in Ultimate lacks the starting upper slash and he gains a second pair of wings.
I agree especially since he's the one that invented the move although it begs the question of why a faster but shorter version of it was given to Dark Meta Knight
Something that's missed here; In the Star Allies version if you have an ally below, the final hit will aim to throw you into them to harm them. That's practicality. Cool video still, just pointing out that very minor thing.
First of all,Star Allies came before Smash Ultimate.Second, the Smash Bros series is not canon to any Video Game Franchise let alone the Kirby Franchise
Upper Calibur us the single best move in Forgotten Land, it locks bosses down SO Hard, even if Morpho is overall better, that move is probably what Meta used to beat Galacta
Dark Meta Knight's version of Upper Calibur is Dark Calibur, but the upper does not catch bosses or midbosses, and the hitbox is avoidable if you were an enemy. It can be enhanced by power effect.
Galaxia Darkness was in Brawl & Smash 4 however it was replaced with Darkness Illusion in Ultimate as for Upper Calibur it's different move from the other 2
They said *in Kirby games,* which should really mean that they shouldn't include Super Smash Bros. Ultimate at all, let alone adding Mii Swordfighter to the video.
The Upper Caliber is my most favorite Sword attack. Very effective!
Upper Caliber is a very effective sword attack indeed
Same

Yes!

To me, they seem like different attacks

@@SonicTheCutehog I heavily doubt it was a coincidence there are far too similar to not be inspired
@@idw3607 Not really for the reasons I stated plus it sending the opponent sideways instead of straight down
@@SonicTheCutehog I mean it doesnt need to be the exact same but it definitely takes inspiration from it
I'm gonna be honest, but I wish you can use that move when you're playing as Meta Knight (not Dark Meta Knight) in Star Allies. It's just so cool!
Which wasn't until Smash Ultimate as his final smash
@@jeremyhoang7279 I mean forgotten land
I agree especially since he's the one that invented the move although it begs the question of why a faster but shorter version of it was given to Dark Meta Knight
Why DID they give it to dark meta knight? He never used that move, but he did use mach tornado. The should have switched it around.
I dig that Meta Knight's Upper Calibur in Smash Ultimate grants him another pair of wings and that he uses clones of himself too.
I wonder if we will ever see this four winged, red eyed meta knight in a kirby game..
Honestly didn't know this was a useable move in Forgotten Land until I saw the video.
Something that's missed here; In the Star Allies version if you have an ally below, the final hit will aim to throw you into them to harm them. That's practicality.

True
Literally just made his final smash canon.
Technically, Star Allies came out before ultimate so it was already canon

They gave Meta Knight his own omnislash and I'm here for it. I think it fits him well
Meta Knight will be a proud dad when Kirby learns how to do Upper Calibur perfectly without advice.
2:15 it seems like brawl Mach Tornado migrated to here
ah, the great history of the upper caliber attack

Such a cool character
Meta Knight is awesome
He's beyond cool lol

Cloud would be proud
I kinda don’t like how they gave DMK his counterpart’s signature attack but shorter, but Mach Tornado is still OP as always
Can you evolutions of the Mach Tornado, Crescent Shot, and Tornado Slash attacks too?
That’s my favorite move
someome that finally shows a damage animation video
I was afraid I had to do it as soon as I had a chance
Siempre esquive el ataque en forgotten land no sabia que habia un quick time event ahi :00000

fight games logic

How come morpho knight is unable to use this attack in KATFL
Morpho knight didn’t feel like losing their weapon today
He does the big sword attack instead
@@aamonesamiit-baur2857 he also does that in star allies
I hope in the next game he dual wields the swords instead of doing the ultra sword slashes when he's half health.

Wait can even do it Morfho Knight why on Kirby the forgotten Land didn't?

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate isn't a Kirby game.
