I LOVE this Chevelle ....the Green color combo is PERFECT !!!!! I HOPE you will bring it back to day 1 glory ....and if you do , PLEASE make and post a video !!!! 😊
Very cool car. The bench seat SS cars are my favorite. I'm 71 so I lived these cars in real time and owned a '69 L34 4 speed. You have a nice survivor there.
Its a holy grail of auto history barn finds. Being a part of Sir.Willie Nelson's family of musical families make it the value for a history lover like me. Keep it as original as you can. Its only original once. Get Willie to do a new music video with it before you rebuild it.
A buddy of mine had a 70 Malibu. It was mist Green with a dark green vinyl top. The previous owner ordered the car ..307,4spd SAGINAW,white SS bucket seat interior.round gauge dash. Very unique.
I follow you and my 70 would blow your mind..not an ss but the most original 70 malibu in astro blue blue interior tilt ac power brakes hard top white top painted with proper build sheet showing lower astro blue white upper hard top paint not vinal top..my comment is that i love what you do. No more no less..i bought my car 1 owner in Charlotte north Carolina from Lapointe chevrolet had 43k miles in 1986 when i bought it from the original old lady owner that ordered it from Lapointe Chevrolet in Charlotte...enjoy the content keep it up!
Very very nice find and purchase. You are correct alot of cars out there but not original. Congratulations on your find n purchase. What an amazing car 70 Chevelle.🎉🎉
excellent find! and congrats on the purchase!! my favorite color is the dark green (my 70 is dark green) but this light green does look good and goes well with the body style. id keep the original color on this one for sure. and definitely leave that 502 and park the 396 under the bench for a keep sake.
Love all of your videos Patrick, but please give credit where credit is due. Grady Martin wasn't just Willie Nelson's guitar player, he was EVERYBODY'S guitar player. Truly awesome to see a legendary car that was owned by a true legendary musician.
I bought a 70 Chevelle SS LS6 with a 4-speed in 1973. It was blue with white stripes and the black vinyl roof. I insisted on a full warranty. Three days later the engine blew. That car was nothing but a headache. Previous to that car I had a '67 442. Best years to be a gear head. Nice find. Currently running a '21 Scat, wide body, shaker, 6 spd Triple Nickle. Love these retros. Previous to my Scat a 2014 Mustang GT. Again nice find. Good luck.
When I was stationed at Ft. Sill oklahoma in the late 90s, there was a retired Army vet who worked at the Clothing Issue Facility there that drove one same color minus the vinyl top and if I recall he had purchased it new. He drove it almost daily then. Real deal SS 396. I think it was also a stripe delete car.
Awesome find Patrick. Love the history and education you are sharing with all of us. Congrats on the new purchase. Love the history on this car. Thank Patrick Matt from RI
Grady Martin played on almost ALL of Johnny Burnette’s Rock N’ Roll Trio records, with Johnny & Dorsey Burnette! Most people think it was Paul Burlison. He was later. Go SS GRADY, GO!!
I have owned 3 1970 Chevelles all 4 speed , 2 of them were 396, 1 was ls6 454 4 speed, I now have a 1967 300 deluxe 4 speed 468 710 hp 635 ft pounds with blower ,I have had this car 26 years,
My favorite is Roy Nichols, but he apparently did not like to drive - he spec'ed in his contracts that he would not do any driving between gigs. Wonder if he's any relation to Patrick.
i was just wondering how many of these chevelles you have bought up over the years of doing your show just because i have been a subscriber for around 3/4 years and i have heard the term this one is coming home with me more than once
Leave it as it is,502 and all,it's a sleeper right there, and all the factory options, cowl hood, power steer, power brakes, aircon and a push button radio, with the original 396 as well, damn straight id buy it
I wish I could have you come out and look and do a video on my Chevelle! I don’t want to sell it…just curious about it because I think it’s an odd ball. And I have a hidden Trans Am I’d like show the world that has been lost of existence and I feel it’s time for it to be unveiled.
Hey Patrick how many 70 SS Chevelles do you own now days and I must say I am a fan of that color combo too nothing screams 1970 more then a green on green car. if that was my Car I would drive it just like it is with the OG paint and the little rust it has because to me the car is so much better that way with it in it's original paint no matter if its sun faded and spots of rust.
kind of looks like the chevelle my dad once had. his was the exact same color, also a 396 car, and had the original green vinyl interior as well. he traded it in the early 90s for a 68 chevy ii nova drag car. the last time he seen it the guy he traded it to had put a 468 in it and drag raced it. he has not seen it since. he bought it running out of a junkyard in the 70s for 600 bucks.
On a 1970 model, it's only a 100 inch difference.😁 You could definitely disguise the 502 under the original stuff from the 396/402, but if that original engine is built for 500 horses, I'd just as soon stick that back in there, looking original, maybe except for the three manifolds. Think I'd rather have a black vinyl top, or no vinyl top, on it though. If I would've been the head Chevelle stylist, I would've wanted only black vinyl tops available for the Super Sport.
Grady Martin was a very famous Nashville Session guitarist who played on many Country Music recordings....he co wrote El Paso with Marty Robbins and played guitar on the song...he played on many Johnny Horton recordings....
Man, that thing should clean up nice! Good old solid mostly original car. I thought the L34 was the 350 HP version, and came with square ports. Only the L78s got them?
Congrats pat a great car and history.you going to restore it og or leave it as is .recon why it as a steel in fender other side is plastic.did the owner you got it from still have all the og Ac stuff with the motor or long gone .great video as always.agin congrats on a killer car .
“Probably leave Posi marks… 150 foot.”
Man I smiled bigger than a kid on Christmas morning. I love a healthy big block
I could listen to that car run all day.
My first car was a 1970 malibu , forest green with black vynyl top. It had a 307 2bbl. Loved that car!!
I LOVE this Chevelle ....the Green color combo is PERFECT !!!!! I HOPE you will bring it back to day 1 glory ....and if you do , PLEASE make and post a video !!!! 😊

That's an angel flying too close to the ground!!! Couldn't help it...

Love the color combination w the vinyl roof 'nice find .
Love the green color best find yet !!
Car has a great look. I'm not green with envy because I am thankful for all of the 1970 schooling I have absorbed through these videos.
Nice find! Glad to see another being found and recued.
Congrats on the purchase.
A buddy of mine had a 70 Malibu. It was mist Green with a dark green vinyl top. The previous owner ordered the car ..307,4spd SAGINAW,white SS bucket seat interior.round gauge dash. Very unique.

Wow nice find! Purrs like a kitten. Love the history of a Chevelle. Very cool
Outstanding find

Great car.

I cry every time that you post a new video.
I have owned 3 1970 Chevelles all 4 speed , 2 of them were 396, 1 was ls6 454 4 speed, I now have a 1967 300 deluxe 4 speed 468 710 hp 635 ft pounds with blower ,I have had this car 26 years,
The car couldn't have a better home 🏁
😍Oh wow, very cool!!!!!!!!!!👍
Very cool 😎
Great car cool history 👍🏻
that 502 just purrs 👍🏻
Grady Martin was probably as famous as Willie Nelson. Grady was on the Nashville "A" TEAM. Grady invented the Nashville sound.
My favorite is Roy Nichols, but he apparently did not like to drive - he spec'ed in his contracts that he would not do any driving between gigs.
Wonder if he's any relation to Patrick.
Thanks for that cool bit of history!
I have an old Grady Martin 78 speed record with a song called Bimbo on it.
another awesome video I love 70 chevelles. I had one in high school 70 ss 454 4 speed that was Cortez silver. I am starting to look for another one.
@@terrencegiordan2775 Sure hope you find one. That sucker won't be cheap tho, lol
Anouther Great find !Congrats !!
What are your plans for it? I’d like to see a video on all of your cars!
Absolutely ....I'd love that as well :)
i was just wondering how many of these chevelles you have bought up over the years of doing your show just because i have been a subscriber for around 3/4 years and i have heard the term this one is coming home with me more than once

Wow I dreamed that Hahn would sell the old green monster!
Love the car. I wonder if it looked like that in 84? Lol.
Good stuff man.
Love it
I wish I could have you come out and look and do a video on my Chevelle! I don’t want to sell it…just curious about it because I think it’s an odd ball. And I have a hidden Trans Am I’d like show the world that has been lost of existence and I feel it’s time for it to be unveiled.
I must admit, I'm just a little bit jealous. I had to sell my 70 Chevelle back in 1989. And I've missed it everyday. I would love to own another.
Very nice find and purchase Patrick ! Will you have it restored , or leave it as is ? Either way , it's nice to see it !
Love the car
I would agree with what other guy said, and you got you one special car.
I have the same color combo , mine has a black vinyl top now.
Your a lucky guy Patrick
We need a video about that cute beagle!!!
Hey Patrick! Love your videos. Can you share what brand and size mufflers this car has? Love the sound. Thanks
nice car. i like column shift.
I always wonder the town these cars were found in and what was paid for them.
We had a 1970 Impala. Same color, same green vinal roof...
Cool car
You would have to check between the seats real well on this one! 🤔😆🍃
Nice 😎
In the 80s when I was in the Auto Mobley whole sale business this car was worth scap but now every POS is a barn find rare collectable ..
Great video great car p g n
Congratulations on the purchase. I'm curious what your plans are with the vehicle?
I would fully restore it to original condition, put the old 396 back in it, reinstall the AC and if you have the funds do a frame off restoration
kind of looks like the chevelle my dad once had. his was the exact same color, also a 396 car, and had the original green vinyl interior as well. he traded it in the early 90s for a 68 chevy ii nova drag car. the last time he seen it the guy he traded it to had put a 468 in it and drag raced it. he has not seen it since. he bought it running out of a junkyard in the 70s for 600 bucks.
What’s up with the drivers side rear fender?
What a cool car!! Just leave the hood closed, no one will know you have those extra 106 cubic inches!!
On a 1970 model, it's only a 100 inch difference.😁 You could definitely disguise the 502 under the original stuff from the 396/402, but if that original engine is built for 500 horses, I'd just as soon stick that back in there, looking original, maybe except for the three manifolds.

Grady Martin was a very famous Nashville Session guitarist who played on many Country Music recordings....he co wrote El Paso with Marty Robbins and played guitar on the song...he played on many Johnny Horton recordings....
He played those gorgeous leads on El Paso.
why does the cowl induction vent flip up when the motor is turned off? seems like that is reverse of what it should be.
Man, that thing should clean up nice! Good old solid mostly original car.
I thought the L34 was the 350 HP version, and came with square ports. Only the L78s got them?
350hp had oval ports
So did you also get the original engine with the purchase of the car ??
Should do episode of the chevelle's you own
Do you have any chevelles for sale?
Congrats pat a great car and history.you going to restore it og or leave it as is .recon why it as a steel in fender other side is plastic.did the owner you got it from still have all the og Ac stuff with the motor or long gone .great video as always.agin congrats on a killer car .
That is great man, is the l34 a 325h.p. model?
