    If you’re not using your grip do you lose some strength recruitment.

      You lose out on grip strength gains while increasing the load on the targeted muscle (in this case, front delts). Similar to using straps for deadlifting in the weightroom. Sacrifice grip to move more weight as grip is no longer a factor

    IMO you shouldn't use straps when you start lifting, as you definitely need that forearm strength. If later, you find that your forearms are giving out before the muscle you are attempting to isolate, then straps are fine.

    Can you train overcoming isometrics, weight lifting and yielding isometrics in the same day?

    Not cheating, just by bypassing the muscles that aren't now directly part of the normal kinematic chains.
    It will stimulate a slightly different result.

    No its not cheating. Its like using straps on hanging ab raises. You just take out the limiting factor which in this case is grip strength/forearms.
    Which makes it more efficient on targeting the actual shoulder muscles of this exercise.
    It's smart.
