I fully restored a '69 F100 when I was 13...well that's when I started. Finished when I was 16 and drove it to high school. Damn solid truck, 360 with a 3 on the tree. Used it to work at the body shop just down from my mom and dads. Saved up and bought myself a new '92 Z28 my senior year. Still own that car today....I call VICTORY!
Disk brake front end wasn't standard until 73. 68-72 it was optional on the front. Might help your search! Are you going to pull a Marti report on it? I bet with the Light blue Corinthian vinyl interior its going to be a rare bird. 69s are the start of the solid crew numbers on Matri reports.
Absolutely love it. I recently bought a ‘60 f-250 4x4 single cab and I’m having a hell of a tough time getting it running, feeling very overwhelmed. Glad you got yours running and driving!
I am totally jealous of your crew cab purchase and how good it runs with a little work. You and your team really showed your stuff on this one. Kudos to you all!!!!
1967 was the first year for the truck disc brakes, make sure you get the correct proportioning valve and there’s 2 brackets between the brake booster and firewall you will need if that truck doesn’t have them. I put 67 3/4-1 ton power disc brakes on my 66 3/4 ton camper special years ago.
Great video, the truck turned out great. It’s awesome that you’ve got a friend that can roll with you and is into working on stuff like you are. Always good to have a partner in crime like that. Looking forward to the progress.
Wow can't believe how smooth the truck runs, When you tried the donut as you stopped instantly I thought wow a slight lift kit on that truck would look good. But you got yourself a perfect mustang hauler.
In both vids you can be heard saying “Yay! Luxury!” When the key worked. That cracks me up every time as it’s totally something I would say. Keep up the good work!
I don't care what anyone says, that truck is beautiful. The interior and exterior styling are amazing. I wish we were still so stylish. I'd prefer a non-crew cab but I still love it.
Nice truck lads , i had my f250 for 10 years . Let a buddy take it on power tour and he wrecked it on way home i was gutted. So its good to see another one back on the road . Thanks guys you rock 👍 👍 👍
YOUR F250 IS AN AMAZING BEAST!!! I can not believe how great of shape it is in and nearly rust free... If that was an Iowa or Minnesota truck it would be rusted in a million pieces EXCELLENT PURCHASE 👌 👏 👍🏻
Awesome video! Love that truck almost as much as my 68 F250😊. Question though, what did you set the timing at and what setting did you put the vacuum can to? Lastly, went on heatshields website and will be buying some for my truck. Nice job. You owe Dylan and Marty some 12 packs.
Thanks for the video. I LOVE the truck it's awesome. Wish I had known you were so close, would have brought you guys some BBQ and lots of sides. Craig, thanks for letting us look over your shoulder. It's rough and rowdy, but an awesome truck.👍👍👍
Had to replace every single brake line on my 69 f250 as well. I bought prevent lines from inline tube years ago. Fitment was damn near close. Great quality.
Well done, been enjoying this series and the collab with Dylan. My D200 Camper Special never had power steering - makes it a bit of a handful. Yours probably has the same tranny, NP435 with granny low -- it was used in a lot of Dodge and Ford truck applications. Mine came factory with 4.10 Dana 60 rear, not as bad as 4.56 but I still swapped it to 3.54 to make it a bit more drivable.
I just bought some flow tech headers for my fe f100😂 welp thanks for providing the custom clearance I need! Also definitely gunna need some heat shield for my F100, 69 Fury and my 71 Dart swinger!
Anything? You ordered "hubcraps "?now I've heard everything that stupid could bring so if it's Grannies truck yeah rusty hubcraps but never on anything else ( sorry grandma! )
Love that truck. Let me tell you something about them 4 speed tranny on them bump side, dent side and bull dog fords. First is used only when you're pulling a big load. Unloaded start in 2nd. It's basically a 3 speed with a extra low 1st. I grew up around them, my dad was a Ford nut, and owned.....dozens of them. My first truck was a 72 3/4 camper special, 390 automatic.
Hey Craig, hoped in on from Dylans tubers, great vid, love the old ford, question to for ya sir, im up in norcal an tryin to thin my herd, gotta few fords including a 1969 ford f350 with perkins diesel, was wonderin if ya might be interested by chance
Hey Craig: Good job getting the '69 school bus F-250 back on the road... Tranny may seem pretty sketchy but it was roadsterated well... From the home of PB Blaster.... Cleveland, Ohio...
Man I love this truck!!! After watching the first video on Dillons channel I had to subscribe to your channel to see more. where was the place you got the truck from?
Makes me miss my old '66 F100 Custom. Was standard cab, long bed, 352FE and 2WD. All of that was fine, but never did care much for the FM2 automatic. Do know those front drum brakes were next to useless; combining those with the slushbox was seriously sketchy at times. Final nail in its proverbial coffin was that, for whatever reason, that generation of the F100 was stupidly difficult to get parts for. Was still a cool old truck though!
Enjoy these videos a lot, get an old Ford, get her running, and drive it to a venue. Looks like so much fun. I happen to know where there is a '70 Ford pickup sitting in the woods, complete. Hmmmm......
I'm gonna personally say the optima batteries are very good batteries I had one in my 96 Cadillac devil for like 10 years and it powered through it for all those 10 years until it finally just quit
That driver door latch may just need some spray lube. I had a passenger side door on a 1972 F250 that the grease dried up an wouldn't latch. I used the truck just didn't use the passenger side for years and it did that very thing yours did. Not sure what you have planned but my '72 has 3.54 gears and gets a little up in rpm at 70mph but good gear ratio for hauling.
I'd love to see y'all get a Y block running someday. Maybe you already have, I haven't been subscribed very long, but I've always wanted to see someone do something different with the Y block...like a centrifugal supercharger or a turbo with the appropriate transmission and rear end with a QFT blow through carb...or even a Holley EFI system and engine controller. It wouldn't even have to be anything crazy, but a boosted 292 (or even the Mercury 312) Y block would be cool to see. "Depending on model year and application, the 312 was available with a single two- or four-barrel Holley carburetor, two four-barrel carburetors and with or without a McCulloch (Paxton) supercharger (1957 only)."

Young gear heads, like yourselves working on old cars and trucks, give me hope for this country. Good job guys!
Thank you!
U 3 guys should work together more on future projects. Love the chemistry between the 3 of you.

the wire on the compressor is the electric clutch
This will make great shop/ tow truck for the Craig 909 fleet. Cain't wait to see the build of this truck.
i feel he should put a nice metal flat bed on it
Totally jealous of this truck! Glad to see you got it back on the road! That's a killer team as well.

Sounds awesome man! I recently icked up a 61 f500 myself. Nice to know lots are still fighting to keep the old stuff alive
It’s a fight for sure, definitely is with the DMV lol
Craig is the type of dude to buff and polish an old rusty pickup
Can’t have dirty garbage.
@@Thecraig909 is it really garbage if it works

On my Np435 I don’t really use first, all the old timers told me it’s just for when you’re towing to get it started rolling. Love the truck!

Dope collab, I started following Craig before Dylan years ago separately and now here they are SoCal meets Midwest

As a fellow crew cab long bed owner, yes, they are yachts...lol.. Can't wait to see where you go from here with it.
It’s gunna be such a rad build.
In love with it craig hope you sorta restore kinda like the f100 setup but 8 lug now u can haul your projects n etc

Nice rest of story. Would like to see what you do later on with brake and suspension upgrades. Good work men.
Loved this series, excited to see what’s next for this truck!
I can't express how much I love this truck!!

Great combo, Dylan and Craig!

and a 3rd gear burner🔥 WTH!!
Thank you Scott!
Great series just sub'd .. Those heat protection product's are nice. I am sure that will get popular soon.

Love this. You’re honestly up there with Roadkill for me
I appreciate that! Means a lot.
I could swear that the Charger in there looks just like Finnigen’s, the one that got the 2JZ in it once.
An FE has lots and lots of torque. Some FEs in trucks even have steel cranks.
Dude, I'm really happy that you got yourself a crew cab truck!
Thanks for the video. I LOVE the truck it's awesome. Wish I had known you were so close, would have brought you guys some BBQ and lots of sides. Craig, thanks for letting us look over your shoulder. It's rough and rowdy, but an awesome truck.👍👍👍
Did you try to disassemble the starter to get it out?
Craig what is on the top of your windshield " Wrecked "? Always enjoy your videos.
I tried making it out but I honestly couldn’t tell.
Had to replace every single brake line on my 69 f250 as well. I bought prevent lines from inline tube years ago. Fitment was damn near close. Great quality.

It may have the turning radius of a city bus but that's part of its charm.

What is it like driving with those amber headlights? Does it get annoying after awhile? They look cool.
Yes indeed Freaking Awesome! Cannot wait for the build. Seriously love that truck
Awesome video Craig!🤘🤘
Thanks!
I have a 76 ranger f250 and have the steel rims. And just ordered some own caps. It looks great. Im jealous urs is road ready.

You made me look forward to working on my truck again. Thnx and great vid

Swing away Craig! The Engine Masters guys showed that pounding a primary nearly flat doesn't kill much HP at all.
We actually pointed that out when we made the decision to smash them up haha.
Hey Craig: Good job getting the '69 school bus F-250 back on the road... Tranny may seem pretty sketchy but it was roadsterated well... From the home of PB Blaster.... Cleveland, Ohio...

how much is the radiator?
are you looking for a 2door 1976 f100 ranger XLT with factory a/c?
Hey craig a seat from a 80-96 f-series will fit that truck if you just swap the tracks from the old seat to the one from a obs
Coming around and looking good now for the first scrubbing in two plus decades, I would have been around your age , holy cow.
what size motor?
Hey man where can I find those headlights?
Yup totally agree love this truck also jealous lol would love to have a crew cab truck this thing is sweet !!
Will you be selling her? Interested.
Not this one haha.
I thought a roadsteration was driving it how it came. Fix and drive, not swap axles?
I have a 72 f100 with a 360 and long tube headers the starter is a nightmare to change bc of the header and going back together is just as hard lol

Thanks for the alert about this video!
Do you guys still have the f250
Yess i was waiting for this
You didn't get enough of those slick hose covers.
Awesome truck I miss manual transmissions
The transmission is a 3 speed with a granny low, that's why it revs so high at hwy speed. no need to use low, start off in 1st.
Did your fancy lift break down?
Truck is way too big for it haha.
Yep, I’ve found it’s easier to pull the clip and the block than to try replacing the starter with those headers
My 1970 Camper Special did have the front disc brakes and that will make your truck stop much better 😊
To be honest our race cars we don't use gaskets on headers.. Straight Victor rienz sealer lol love this truck
That driver door latch may just need some spray lube. I had a passenger side door on a 1972 F250 that the grease dried up an wouldn't latch. The references to Zip Ties and Bias Plies are appreciated!
That rad looks great 👍
I remember when the distributor you took out just come out and was supposed to be the best thing since toast.
Is that the remains of a Salt Life logo on the windshield?
Undo the motor mount
I wonder if those bed wheel wells were cut out for a slide in camper then weded back in. Lol
That’s actually what we think it is.

Obviously you were pressed for time, so you didn't have time for upgrades, but that was a perfect time for a 3g alternator upgrade and electric fans.
Been there for many years with the manual everything.
Most people with a granny 4 never use 1st unless towing
