Thanks for this James! I go from being very pumped to borderline panic as SIV get closer but I really want the confidence boost. I agree with your take of get really confident in the basics and don't worry about pushing on to other skills too fast.
@@walachaviation9171 Im so excited for your class. Try your best to check the nerves and just roll with it. You will do great. Once you get off the beach youll feel pretty good and right at home in the air. Its going to be epic!
Is this in Florida? Were you nervous? I'd like to get into paramotoring. I'm sure a course like this would be a huge confidence booster but I'd be worried I'd chicken out and not get the most out of it. I have a small amount of skydiving experience but I can't bs you. I'm terrified leaving that plane. I only jump because I absolutely love the canopy flight down.
Hello. This was over a lake in Wyoming. I get what your saying. This is different though as you start on the ground and are in control the whole time so that initial anxiety or jolt of excitement isn't the same as skydiving or rappelling, etc. If you like the canopy time of skydiving, you will probably love paragliding! If you're unsure, check into getting a tandem flight somebody to see what you think, or even just do a two day starter class where you get a couple hill glides.
@@tango_sierra8608 I totally get it. I put it off for awhile. You wont regret going though. Its such a confidence boost. And honostly, in hindsight, being on the tow line is more unnerving than the maneuvers. Lol
Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to my first course soon!
@@AlpineDave7 Heck ya. You're going to love it. Its such a confidence booster both in yourself, and your gear!

Heck yeah buddy! Thanks for the commentary and footage. Great to see the wing in these maneuvers with your insight 🤘
SIV seems a like less daunting after watching, thanks.
Nice Video, James! You crushed it!
