That had to be an incredible experience. Definitely requires environmental knowledge and flying skills. Job well done by pilot and cameraman. I could have watched the full 3 hour flight.
Too awesome! Thank you for sharing! So do you end up where you guys parked? Or did you have to hike back down! I would get so lost! Both of you are so talented and skilled, I am an awe!
Heck ya!!! Nice job Steve! I'm glad you guys got up there and what a day! 3 hours! Steve is a great mentor for sure! Also, yeah, that hike sucks. I tried to make the summit this summer and turned back 1/4 mile from the top.
Yes, without hitting any lift from thermals or ridge lift, it would be less than 18min straight shot back to where we started the hike. So anything longer is a success. 3 hours of coring thermals is crazy cool!
The Dream,, excellent experience
@@johnwagenhals881 For sure. I got super lucky with conditions, and Steve is a badass!!!

Yes. The landing area is a little field next to the trailhead parking lot. So we just packed up right there and walked over to the cars!

Lol, yeah it was a bit rough, but totally worth it. I need to get in better shape!
I owe you one @walachaviation9171. We can get it done some Saturday! We'll take a lunch up and take our time. Plus I can offer you a lighter pack!
I thought you said or he said that it would be like a 18 min max flight?? But it was just above 3 hrs!!
That was incredible

Duuuude so sick! I'm not the most confident dude in front of a camera, so there's that. But ya great edit, almost makes me feel like I was there!
You were awesome. Totally nailed it. The information is great!!! Thanks again for an awesome time and broadening my knowledge and experiences! 🪂🪂🪂
