Greer’s sales goal (and meeting it or not) is way more consequential. Zach came off like a total asshole from that. I feel bad for her, she was just trying to make conversation.
To be honest, my disappointment on not getting that date would have been 1) CORGIS!!!!!! 2) okay, still corgis!!!!! 3) high tea 4) getting time with Zach and 5) the shopping. Seriously, of all the dates this show has ever had, I think I'm most excited about corgis and High Tea. I feel ya Greer. I do agree about Charity. Very sweet to be there for Greer. I like the moments of friendship between the ladies more than the fighting.
Either that or she's laying the groundwork to be a top contender for Bachelorette if she doesn't get picked. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that actions like that ingratiate yourself to a producer's narrative they try to craft for the next lead.
Production at work!! Greer did not just happen to sit in front of Gabi's door in that long hall. Also, the girls are not allowed to leave the hotel. Not only was that care package Production's doing, but Katie would not have known which room was Zack's, nor would she have been able to approach him with that whole scene without the permission of Production. Production knows of Zack's interest in Katie, and they just helped her along.
Why would you wish that upon her? The track record for being the Bachelorette is horrible. She would have much more luck and a better time at Paradise.
I really felt for Greer this episode, poor lady was just trying to relate to Zach and he just really wasn’t into it for whatever reason. Greer is giving me Abigail vibes from Matt’s season, starts strong in the beginning by getting the first impression rose and then never gets a 1-on-1 date.

The Gabby date was so REAL! That's the only way to describe it! These dates usually feel like they are saying rehearsed lines... But Zach & Gabby just felt like they were hanging out! So natural and real and cute and lowkey! When producers discover that the less produced this shit is the better the content turns out their minds will explode!

The way zach looked like he was clenching his teeth asking greer to accept his rose...I think the producers pulled his strings to make sure Greer stayed another week just for the twist of it. Side note: Zach is human which means yes, he deserves slack from us but also means Greer would have been completely within her right to clap back at him for talking to her that way. She'd have more power over the situation and wouldn't have to feel so helpless and keep crying.

I think some people react badly to people “trying to relate”. They see it more as trying to make everything about them, even if that isn’t what they mean. My mom wondered if maybe he was afraid it would come across like he was treating this like just a “goal” and not a search for a serious relationship if he didn’t clarify. I thought that was an interesting take!

Right, and for a lot of women that work in male-dominated industries (like I would imagine Greer does) it’s a constant uphill battle, so it’s also unfair in that light for Zach to discount her experience. On top of the fact that she was just trying to relate to him and make conversation
Greer did nothing wrong, but neither did Zach; I think both parties' actions were very innocuous. While she was only trying to find some way to relate to him, which is empathetic and wholesome, I think the attempt simply revealed the emotional disconnect & non-intimacy between the two that Zach decided to harp on. I don't believe he was trying to chew her out; it's just simply painfully obvious when someone simply doesn't ~get you~ even if they're truly trying to for whatever reason. I've seen so many people quickly dismiss Zach as a hOrRiBLe person and implied misogynist or even cruel person for his reaction, and I wish Bachelor Nation would a. realize that these leads are human with human emotions that they (the audience) too experience rather than operating in judgmental hypocrisy and b. stop assuming they know more about the leads (and contestants) & their motivations than they realistically do.
@@doodahgurlie I like that you bring this up as well because many who are disparaging Zach are also leaving this part unsaid-Zach ALSO is in sales. Which changes the dynamic of their conversation because it gives more context in regards to why Zach felt comfortable rebutting the comparison. Zach also explained that, to him, he viewed the comparison as not characteristic of how highly he values the women. He knows that they’ve paused their entire lives to be on this journey with him & recognizes that every single second is valuable to them. From Zach’s perspective, humans are of more value than sales and I would agree with that point of view. I genuinely think he meant well with the comment. Tone-wise, he just appears to speak more matter-of-factly + bluntly. I don’t think it had much to do with Greer besides the fact that the whole situation revealed how meager their connection is.

Idk Zach sounded so patronizing to Greer imo. I get that because he's sick this likely isn't an accurate depiction of his character but it's a weird moment that puts the bachelor in a bad light like that could've easily been avoided by NOT making him work with covid?? I'm guessing they still make the contestants test every day after they kinda glossed over the contagious aspect but it's still possible someone has it and isn't testing positive yet. Kinda making me wonder what the vaccination requirements are and if that's impacting Zach's solo quarantine... Also makes me wonder what was discussed in the fantasy suite with Rachel... But that's just a guess it's also possible that production is just making up what to do with no medical advice in consideration lol

I feel like Zach doesn't like to be challenged, he wants a woman who will not threaten him and when challenged, he flips. I think that was what him and Rachel likely clashed about and she did him a service by not going into much detail about what happened. I'm not sure what I think about him, but I did not like his reaction, it was not necessary at all for him to belittle Greer.

I feel like one of the big reasons (besides production) for Zach's season not having the "villains" last through an episode is because he's one of those individuals that doesn't like it at all when things don't go his way or vision. Like the moment it doesn't live up to his standards no matter how minor, he shuts them out instead of thinking/talking it through. Like I don't think it's just an uncomfortable moment between him an Greer that was a product of stress and Covid. He's shown repeatedly that he shuts out people the moment they tick him off.

But the women aren't forced to sacrifice anything to be there. They signed up. They aren't there as a punishment, they picked this, they wanted to be famous or infamous. It's a jump off to endorsements and being an influencer. And to be fair, Greer at least being on for six weeks will be more famous as opposed to the women who left in earlier weeks. Now is it worth it to go on the show, to me no. I cannot think of anything worse than being trapped in a hotel room, forced to interact with all the women and have to wait for one day where I get to leave and go out. Mentally it wouldn't be worth it.

I don’t understand how this show doesn’t have better safety protocols. I’m assuming (of course could be completely wrong) that Zach may have gotten Covid during his trip to London. Most don’t wear masks in airport or on plane which in my mind says “Covid come & get me”. Also weird that there was not a single reference to Gabi being exposed. 🤷♀️

I think periodically you ask for clip/quote requests to use for your videos. I think the Fancy Restaurant episode of Bluey would have had many useable clips for this episode. "I don't know how to do romance." Also Bluey is great. Maybe not the same audience, but it's got a loyal following ☺️
I don't think Zach was rude for verbalizing that he didn't like the comparison. It's better than someone who doesn't tell you what they don't like but still holds it against you. I think what really irked him is that clearly, Greer doesn't know anything about him. She was talking to him like he wasn't familiar with the sales world; the man is a Senior Sales Executive. You can see this in how she started off trying to simplify what a quarter is, and then in his rebuttal, he uses sales technical jargon.
God forbid that a woman ever put her career before love and possible sex with Zach. Zach’s indignation about her bringing up her career over his all important quest to get laid just seemed pretty narcissistic to me. Let’s just be honest, its all for TV and any relationship formed will be over in a matter of months anyway. If it was me, I’d be betting on my own career.
Katie visiting Zach outside his room was quite cute, her and Gabbi are both very fun to watch with him. As for the Greer thing, I think it was just awkward, nothing deeper. Emotions are hard to covey especially over video calls and while Zach was a little agro it’s not like he was purposely trying to make her feel bad or insult her career. Idk, it will be interesting to see how the Greer meltdown goes down next week and if Zach has any blame in that. As it stands now I think Zach is doing a great job if his worst moment as the bachelor is being a little agro on a FaceTime while having Covid.
Seems like there was more going on than we saw. How could he feel so strongly against Greer after hardly spedning time with her. She seems sweet to me. And I also think shes the prettiest of all of them.
Setting aside him with Greer, I loved that the dress he was obsessed with wasn’t a Jessica Rabbit short tight dress. She was dressed like a princess. Glad she had that moment no matter what happens next.

OK but I'm so curious why the show hasn't mentioned that Gabby and Greer were in the same sorority at the same university at the same time? Like I know those orgs can have around a hundred girls in them but they definitely knew each other and there's no acknowledgement of that at all. I wonder if their history played into Greer's reaction to Gabby's date? Gabby would've been a year ahead of Greer at uni so either they were friends or they weren't friends for a reason...

Somehow Kaity gets together a care package with Zach and we’re all supposed to not know that Production did this for her, probably picking her for reasons. Also I agree with you that Zach was unfair to Greer regarding relating to him about losing her end of year sales goal due to Covid. I got chicken pox my last semester of college and it screwed up my grades. So these things make an impact on your life. But his life is more important than others I guess
Greer was a little much for me during the first half but I feel for her after that call. She was just trying to relate not being able to reach her end of quarter goal to Zach’s goal of deepening his relationships. Zach took it wrong
I don't know if it was the editing, but this episode made all of the girls look really self-centered. All they talked about was how awful it was for them not to get the experience, like they were victims, instead of actually caring about Zach's well-being. Was so cringy to watch. And couldn't they have done better than using a small tablet for those awkward virtual dates?!
The girls definitely seemed very self-centered. In real life sometimes your spouse is going to get sick and your plans will have to be canceled. They have to be able to deal with that. Charity did not seem immature about it though. Even though she was disappointed she was thinking of Zach.
Took 5 episodes but finally I'm sold on zach being bachelor. He is such a good communicator, very sensitive and has the perfect physicals too.. This is the first bachelor season that actually makes my heart race unlike the ones from recent years... (Clayton, Matt,)

My unpopular opinion is we should cut them both some slack. Zach was sick ,and probably stressed about the little time he has to decide on his best match. Greer was clearly having a breakdown all week, and I think they have a clear communication mismatch.

The Gabby date was so REAL! That's the only way to describe it! These dates usually feel like they are saying rehearsed lines... But Zach & Gabby just felt like they were hanging out! So natural and real and cute and lowkey! When producers discover that the less produced this shit is the better the content turns out their minds will explode!

The way zach looked like he was clenching his teeth asking greer to accept his rose...I think the producers pulled his strings to make sure Greer stayed another week just for the twist of it. Side note: Zach is human which means yes, he deserves slack from us but also means Greer would have been completely within her right to clap back at him for talking to her that way. She'd have more power over the situation and wouldn't have to feel so helpless and keep crying.

Right, and for a lot of women that work in male-dominated industries (like I would imagine Greer does) it’s a constant uphill battle, so it’s also unfair in that light for Zach to discount her experience. On top of the fact that she was just trying to relate to him and make conversation
Greer did nothing wrong, but neither did Zach; I think both parties' actions were very innocuous. While she was only trying to find some way to relate to him, which is empathetic and wholesome, I think the attempt simply revealed the emotional disconnect & non-intimacy between the two that Zach decided to harp on.
I don't believe he was trying to chew her out; it's just simply painfully obvious when someone simply doesn't ~get you~ even if they're truly trying to for whatever reason. I've seen so many people quickly dismiss Zach as a hOrRiBLe person and implied misogynist or even cruel person for his reaction, and I wish Bachelor Nation would a. realize that these leads are human with human emotions that they (the audience) too experience rather than operating in judgmental hypocrisy and b. stop assuming they know more about the leads (and contestants) & their motivations than they realistically do.

Which changes the dynamic of their conversation because it gives more context in regards to why Zach felt comfortable rebutting the comparison. Zach also explained that, to him, he viewed the comparison as not characteristic of how highly he values the women. He knows that they’ve paused their entire lives to be on this journey with him & recognizes that every single second is valuable to them. From Zach’s perspective, humans are of more value than sales and I would agree with that point of view.
I genuinely think he meant well with the comment. Tone-wise, he just appears to speak more matter-of-factly + bluntly. I don’t think it had much to do with Greer besides the fact that the whole situation revealed how meager their connection is.

Idk Zach sounded so patronizing to Greer imo. I get that because he's sick this likely isn't an accurate depiction of his character but it's a weird moment that puts the bachelor in a bad light like that could've easily been avoided by NOT making him work with covid?? I'm guessing they still make the contestants test every day after they kinda glossed over the contagious aspect but it's still possible someone has it and isn't testing positive yet. I feel like one of the big reasons (besides production) for Zach's season not having the "villains" last through an episode is because he's one of those individuals that doesn't like it at all when things don't go his way or vision. Like the moment it doesn't live up to his standards no matter how minor, he shuts them out instead of thinking/talking it through. Like I don't think it's just an uncomfortable moment between him an Greer that was a product of stress and Covid. He's shown repeatedly that he shuts out people the moment they tick him off.

They aren't there as a punishment, they picked this, they wanted to be famous or infamous. It's a jump off to endorsements and being an influencer. And to be fair, Greer at least being on for six weeks will be more famous as opposed to the women who left in earlier weeks.
Now is it worth it to go on the show, to me no. I cannot think of anything worse than being trapped in a hotel room, forced to interact with all the women and have to wait for one day where I get to leave and go out. Mentally it wouldn't be worth it.

I don't think Zach was rude for verbalizing that he didn't like the comparison. It's better than someone who doesn't tell you what they don't like but still holds it against you. I think what really irked him is that clearly, Greer doesn't know anything about him. She was talking to him like he wasn't familiar with the sales world; the man is a Senior Sales Executive. You can see this in how she started off trying to simplify what a quarter is, and then in his rebuttal, he uses sales technical jargon.

As for the Greer thing, I think it was just awkward, nothing deeper. Emotions are hard to covey especially over video calls and while Zach was a little agro it’s not like he was purposely trying to make her feel bad or insult her career. Idk, it will be interesting to see how the Greer meltdown goes down next week and if Zach has any blame in that. As it stands now I think Zach is doing a great job if his worst moment as the bachelor is being a little agro on a FaceTime while having Covid.

OK but I'm so curious why the show hasn't mentioned that Gabby and Greer were in the same sorority at the same university at the same time? Like I know those orgs can have around a hundred girls in them but they definitely knew each other and there's no acknowledgement of that at all. I got chicken pox my last semester of college and it screwed up my grades. So these things make an impact on your life. But his life is more important than others I guess
Greer was a little much for me during the first half but I feel for her after that call. She was just trying to relate not being able to reach her end of quarter goal to Zach’s goal of deepening his relationships. Zach took it wrong
I don't know if it was the editing, but this episode made all of the girls look really self-centered. All they talked about was how awful it was for them not to get the experience, like they were victims, instead of actually caring about Zach's well-being. Was so cringy to watch. And couldn't they have done better than using a small tablet for those awkward virtual dates?!
The girls definitely seemed very self-centered. In real life sometimes your spouse is going to get sick and your plans will have to be canceled. They have to be able to deal with that. Charity did not seem immature about it though. Even though she was disappointed she was thinking of Zach.
Took 5 episodes but finally I'm sold on zach being bachelor. He is such a good communicator, very sensitive and has the perfect physicals too.. This is the first bachelor season that actually makes my heart race unlike the ones from recent years... (Clayton, Matt,)

I agree and don't think Greer trying to relate with her Jon was that deep. However, I could see how maybe it could rub Zach the wrong way or scare him since the previous week he had to deal with "someone being there for the wrong reasons"

I had to comment because big fan of Zach but WTH?! Dismissive, condescending, mean, rude, “better than you” behaviour! Poor woman was just trying to make small chat and relate and ask how YOU’RE feeling!!!!
