hot take but the european style buildings of this game are 10000 times more accurate and stylish than anything in CS2 and i'm super excited for CS2 but dang...this is actually really fkn cool
SimCity 3000 is the very first City Builder I played a lot. Great to see it again 🥰 lovely video, it actually still seems fun. That diagonal road with the turning lane is actually impressive. and for everyone: have fun with Cities 2 next week!
It would be interesting to see this city grow. Honestly, there's going to be a lot of pressure to keep up with the Cities 2 content if you plan on making content for that at release. You've started quite a few projects over the past months in city builders, I'm curious if there are any that you want to go back to :) A series is always more fun when the creator is having a good time!
It's been awhile since I've done a complete series of a game. Seemed like it wasn't grabbing to much attention with people retention wise. But definitely not closed to the idea, as I personally love watching longer series myself! I know the competition is going to be fierce, there are a lot of talented creators out there. But we will see, I will give it a go and have fun with it 😄
Bus stops merely reduce traffic on a road. If you put them next to a congested road the traffic goes down. Also parks increase land value so you can generate more income. Industry and commercial like connections to your neighbours. Industry mainly by rail.
Simcity 3000 had the dubious honor of coming after the earth-shattering Simcity 2000 but before the earth-shattering Simcity 4, and sadly tends to not get the credit it deserves.
@@victiusplays Yes I discovered that myself last night actually. And even worse, I think the SC2000 on EA Play and on GOG is the inferior DOS version :(
My dad and I were talking about Simcity and Cities Skylines, and he said the original simcity was so addictive that you'd be on the computer for 6 hours straight
this reminds me of whatever the sims city on DS was called. it's basically a port of this one, except the city has missions to do and you advance through the ages with wonders
simcity creator, it came out in 2008. that game is awesome!! really great game given the capabilities of the DS. ive played it on both the ds and an emulator, and managed to get to the future age
I also still play SimCity 3000 in 2023. FYI as your population grows land values very gradually follow suit which is another very realistic aspect of the simulation.
Still the best city manager overall (SC4 is awesome too, but I don't like how cities are so much smaller there and Cities Skylines 1 is just a boring sandbox). I hope Cities Skylines 2 can live up to it.
I'm buying sim city 2000 on steam tonight I loved the money cheat and the disaster options. I enjoyed building a huge metropolis saving the game seeing what disasters can do to it. I hope sim city 3,000 and newer versions have the old cheat options.
Do you actually have to place the special buildings (casino) etc. and sell water, or take other cities' garbage to make money? Or is it possible to get a thriving city without all this "extra" stuff?
It's the Unlimited version im playing, as it's the only one available for digital purchase as far as i could find. In 2000 EA/Maxis re-released the game under different names depending on region with a little extra added. Unlimited for US, World edition for Europe and some other country specific editions.
just got this for the first time as it was just under £2 but it turns out you need to patch it to run with linux. ngl this game looks so good though im gonna have to install windows on my other ssd
How were you able to play this on a computer? I have this same exact game of PC CD and tried to install but says it cant because of adminstrative priviliges.
I bought a digital version of the game. You can get it on GOG. So I haven't tried with a physical copy. Does the install start up automatically or do you see an .exe symbol you can click on?
Honestly I haven't played SimCity 2000... Yet! I'm planning on getting it soon. Though it came out before I was born 😂 and by that time, and when I was of an age to turn on a PC SimCity 3000 was out 😅 So I guess my answer doesn't carry much weight. Since I only ever played 3000. But 3000 was fun! Definitely. And it's not too expensive on GOG. I believe SimCity 2000 is on Gamepass ultimate though, which you can usually get a trial of, for about $1 😄
I guess 3000 is the game Theotown was copied from and not 4. Speaking of which maybe you could try that one next, it's pretty fun minus the paywall locked stuff on mobile (PC version doesn't have that).
It's not as simple to get started as the never games that's for sure 😅 I recently played SimCity 2000! That I failed a couple of times... Maybe it was hard or maybe I was just stupid 😂
I spent so much time in this game, built so many cities all them years ago.
Great to see that you are playing the simcity games now! I'm suprised you have just 1.5k subs, you should have way more
Thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed the video 🙏😄
Can't wait till your channel takes off and I can say "I've been a subscriber since the beginning"
Great videos!

I haven't seen much from CS2 yet tbh. I'm holding out for release 😅
@@victiusplays oof lol
HEYYY, that's my post in Simtropolis explaining the HD hack. Woohooo !!
Seriously? Made it so much more enjoyable! Thanks for that 🙏😄

I was actually amazed to find out that i wasn't on EA Play like SimCity 2000, 4 and 2013. A bit weird to me, as it was really fun!
@@victiusplays Yes I discovered that myself last night actually. And even worse, I think the SC2000 on EA Play and on GOG is the inferior DOS version :(
I still play it, have over a few thousand hours in it.
It was surprisingly fun too go back to! Still playing a little when I have some time in my schedule 😄

old gold memories i had a city with 1m people when i was 7 yo
I cant wait for a video in the year 3000 where someone plays this
this reminds me of whatever the sims city on DS was called. it's basically a port of this one, except the city has missions to do and you advance through the ages with wonders
It may be, downscaled ofcause. I think they actually ported SimCity 2000 to Gameboy aswell. Never played them though, only the pc versions 😅

SimCity 3000 > cs2. It’s not even a close competition
I made a great city in a few hours, then it crashed, always save it

my childhood game.
Loved this game......would use all the cheat codes too 😂😂
Pumping station in the middle of dry land...interesting.
With a river that looks like a tornado this has to be good!!!
The water pump needs to be by the water.
We all had that friend who had that one game we really wanted but didn't have so we'd spend afternoons on their computer lol. Good times.
Yeah good times indeed! You just don't get that anymore 😅
Maybe because I'm an adult, but still 😂
love these videos. Hope they continue. plus some new cities skyline 2!
They will definitely continue! CS 2 videos will also be coming once it releases 😄
I started playing this in sep 1999. 😂 Bought it agaln in 2019 or so. Love it!
This was my favorite sim game. So many hours on this game
we want longer videos ❤
Not the end of longer videos, don't worry 😄
I just want to play Simcity classic
Where do I buy Sim City 3000 Unlimited? I went onto ea's website but there's no option for purchase.
Hey, thanks for watching the video!
You can buy it on GOG 😅
Pumping stations have to be near a water source to work in SC3000
Yeah... Once I realized it made sense. I'm not proud of admitting how long it took me though 😂
Are you running a mod or some other version? I don't recall the European building set.

@victiusplays Thank you for info. When I put in the CD the menu for installing Exe does come up.

@@victiusplays That's what I've done and still comes up with same message.

Yeah, it takes some time getting used to it. As far as I know there's no "fix" for it 😅
@victiusplays there is a solution. Run it on a slow PC. Haha.
Will this work in Windows 10?
Yeah indeed, I am playing on Windows 10 😄
@@victiusplays I'll give it a try...tnx

I tried Theotown on mobile once, but couldn't really get into it. But yeah it feels similar in looks, maybe a bit SimCity 2000 in it aswell 😅
I do actually have a video of SimCity 4 up already 😄
Good old time
The SimCity of my childhood. I have a few cities on my channel that couldn't be more individual.
Still on my pc.

it's broken, the deals, and some celebrations doesn't work.
