They had a falling out with Nintendo and chose to go console exclusive with Xbox. That was rares biggest mistake. They did it to themselves.
@ what you are talking about, Rare had money problems, Nintendo didnt want to give more capital or buy the company, then Microsoft bought rare and then let the Ip's forgotten in a closet, same with Conker and Banjo.

All right, so this is the second video I’ve seen with you doing different things on the arcade so I’m gonna go ahead and see if I can enlighten you slightly. A slow motion combo is usually started with an overhead into a regular combo. What happens is when the overhead is at the beginning and if you’re fast enough, it’ll cause the rest of the animation towards the finishing part of the combo to either go completely slow or miss one or two hits I’m not necessarily sure because I haven’t played it in. I don’t know 20 years but I used to do it with chief thunder all the time

Killer instinct was not a gore based game, was a combo based Game, and the first fighting game made by rare, not bad at all, and because of this, MK3 was delayed!
I mean everyone has their own opinion on KI and MK but MK Honestly was more focused om the gore and fatalities along with the mechanics of a fighting game. KI was more focused on combos and such similar to SF. I do love both for their own tastes but I do prefer KI since i'm a dirty Rareware fanboy
@@mythra2685KI is simply the better game. Yes MK has way better fatalities but the gameplay itself is inferior therefore the game itself is inferior.
Everyone is entitled to thier opinion even if they are wrong. MK has NOTHING on KI. Never liked MK trash.
