But seriously, most countries can't even fund the most basic necessities in time. There is a flyover being built near my house to improve traffic through a train route because the roads used to get busy all the time for like an hour but even though this is such an important project that has to be completed in time to stabilize traffic, this has barely been built for over a year and it left the entire area with hummocks so any vehicle which needs to pass by has to go through some weird narrow alleyways around houses. I feel so sorry for the people that have to go through with cars passing all the time by them and also for my country's condition. This country I am speaking about is Pakistan but it is an overall beautiful and bustling country that is in its development stage.

I think that this is an amazing feat, and although the controversies may be valid we must come to except that progress (sometimes seemingly trivial) comes at a cost. Imagine if we decided not to go to the moon because"The rocket could've exploded" or "It was a waste of money"
This is the beginning of the new future, but the end of being realistic. What I mean is we are moving to the future now, we can't continue to hinder the future, we can't constantly stop the future from happening because of all the consequences and costs etc, we humans enjoy moving on, like they say "high risk high reward".

Haha I live near that piece of art! Whenever they play the big eyeball near me I feel creeped out. I don’t really think this is a waste of a project just because of energy wasting the sphere is using, since we get a lot of sunlight here the sphere, in the near future we might have where it runs on renewable energies such as wind, water, or the sun. It really is a masterpiece when you get up close to the work of art, and I cannot wait for what’s to come in the future!

If they had built a sphere made of color e-paper (Like the ones in Kindle E-book reader) it would've been much cheaper and less distractive and used way less energy.
At night time they could've just turned on lights so its images could be seen.
They could've built several more spheres if they'd done so and it would've been even more awesome.
