Esther is overjoyed, naturally, since it means Crowe can't go on vacation for awhile and will spend more time working with her, just the two of them. Crowe, of course, nearly has a heart attack over the debt that he doesn't even troll Esther over her love for him.
Actually the CDS uses actual coins dropping since Crowe can, for good or bad, differentiate between "fake" coin and real coin dropping as explained when Duo and the others attempt to trick Crowe in the game.
Compared to Rand, Setsuko, and Uther... Crowe lucked out. Sure losing Esther was jarring for him, and was the main reason he took the fight against Arksabers so personally to the point of being reckless, but he managed to get her back. Though she's not 100% Human but more Super Human by her stat jump and Brasta Es power up. It's mentioned she's infected still, it's just not active at the moment. The worse thing of his sphere is the CDS putting him back in debt after he pays it off.
At that time Marilyn was the surperior pilot and Crowe didn't stand a chance against her and her Firebug unit that aws completely devoted to her. By z2.2 Crowe has his own Mecha and his skills have greatly improved thanks to his Sphere starting to awaken and his time fighting in z2.1. That and he had a young Esther to get to safety, he was already at a disadvantage. Fighting with a traumatized Esther with him may as well be a death wish against Marilyn who was a very skilled pilot.
SPIGOTs are the ring things used in some of his attacks, VX was a codename given by Carlos to the Libra Sphere, the Coin Drop System is something to keep Crowe from getting unbalanced and going berserk.
The best MC in Z series alongside Rand and probably one of the best in the entire franchise. Sadly, the Brastas are kinda underwhelming for a protag MC. It's like they're holding back Librasta's and Crowe's power by giving it an unfinished looking Librasta Trial. Here's hoping that we're gonna see a true upgrade to R, B and T in OG or heck, X-Omega

It isn't ham-fisted at all and is very plausible. Though the Brasta shouldn't have been able to go that fast with its current specs without straining the machine and causing Crowe health issues. Needless to say, his badassery forced him to make the Brasta go faster to rain on Marilyn's parade and save Esther.
As soon as he's cleared of his debts, like 0 balance, he went doing some shit somewhere which, inadvertently, caused serious collateral damage… & thus began his days of clearing debts again…
That's false. He clears up his debt but gets another 1,000,000g debt at the end of the game because the CDS is expensive and uses 1,000g everytime it activates. He ends up being forced to stay on the job though Esther tries to cheer him up while he's having a panick attack.
To be fair, when Z2 was first announced and we didn't know about Crowe's Sphere or the connection to Libra, Blaster sounded more likely than Brasta. Not that I'm disagreeing with you, of course.
I bet Marguerite was happy that she could spend more time with Crowe...wait, does she stay with Crowe and the others or does she leave? I know that Esther considers Marguerite her rival cause Marguerite gets the rival bonus when next to Esther

Poor Rex, he is a good character (forgoting the horrible background story he has) and Solvirias Rex is a great Mecha (Shinin´ Heart FTW!!!)
