sorry to hear dickie has passed. i bought lots of parts when i was younger from him. he would never sell me a whole car though. you should ask about the cars out at his farm. I never saw them but he was always saying he got that part out on the farm lot. i had 6 cars in the past . and his prices were all for the restorers benefit. he will be missed. RIP Dickie

Put together two cars with help of Mr. Jones, back in the early 90s. Wife's '57 station wagon and my '55 sedan. Big Spring was a regular haunt. There used to be a picture of my '55 on his wall. If you need it for a tri-five, he pretty much would have had it.
Try to save a 4 dr hardtop. They are more scarce than two-dr hardtops or sedans.
His wife was one of the more charming women I've ever met. Saddened when I heard of his passing. RIP Dickie Lee! The Fin Doctor has left the building.

I am so happy for you all that you got to get a hold of a good project for your time. If you ever need help rescuing more vehicles let me know. My 80 year old Dad and I would love to do a project before he gets to the point where he is not going to be able to work anymore, I figure at the pace he goes we have about three to six years left at most that he can bounce around like the energizer bunny for 6 to 8 hours a day. God bless you all and hope you get everything you need. Thanks for sharing your work and time. We always enjoy watching you guys.

Have fun, y'all. Tri-Five Chevrolets are something special. I almost bought a '56 in the spring of 1967, for $400. I answered a newspaper classified ad, checked out the car, agreed to the owners asking price, and went home, about a mile and a half, to get the cash. When I got back, the car was gone, sold to someone else who showed up right after me with cash in his pocket. Best of luck to you.

They passed that one-of-a-kind deal up and went with the rust buckets 🪣 (I'm sure it'll be fun either way, but that old guy could die before they get another chance to buy the SOLID car you can lean on without falling through it). Great program! I had a 56 Nomad that I sold and the fellow that bought it took it to a whole level of awesome! You will have so much fun. When I sold my Nomad , the only reason I sold it, I had four other projects going that required alot more time and a whole bunch of my money! My wife says I was vaccinated with a wheel and that's reason I have been hooked all these many years. Keep up your awesome work, make it a great evening!

In my opinion, '55 thru 63 Chevys were the coolest cars ever produced. I had one of all but the '59 and '61 over several years in the 60s and 70s. Sure wish I had kept a few! My favorites were a '57, '60, '62, and '63 convertibles. However the one I wish I still had the most was a '58 baby blue Desoto convertible. I have not seen one in years because they all fell apart. It looked like it was a mile long... I couldn't afford more than two at a time, and all were considered old cars at the time.

    What a great collection.
The thought that comes to mind since first seeing it on the initial road trip:
You can’t take it with you.
This applies to so many collections and “hoards” that end up rusting out before the collectors can get to them.
I’m glad this collection will be enjoyed by many new people in the future.

There's a guy in Albertville Alabama my home town that has over 1000++ cars and a little trucks no exaggeration but he has 1912-1950 cars and 80% are all sold and parts in a garage bigger than Walmart he has people all over the world come buy from him but let me tell you his not cheap just a 1942 Ford body(in amazing shape) with all original windows and rims plus all ok interior ect but he wanted 22k for it plus he has motors for them if needed. Dude is awesome and a straight shooter he dosent believe in lying and the saddest part of it is that his 80+ years old and his son don't care for cars so they will probably all get took to the scrap yard soon makes me so pissed off and upset 😭

Tom Bailey could use the roof off that 57 wagon after Ayden crossed the finish line @ 185 mph on the roof of "Shit Box of Doom" ! Loved this episode, my 1st car was a '57 Bel-Air I bought when I was 15 yo for $500 good project car but it didn't have a single piece of chrome with it ! When I found how hard to find and expensive that was I traded it for a Suped up Bug with Mag Wheels ! Hard to restore a car on a $ 1.85 per hour Dishwashers pay @ IHOP in the '70's ! ✌️💜🎸 From STL MO

Being in that car lot is like the humane society for old Iron. All of them looking at you dejected but hopefully and you just can't bear the thought of leaving them behind instead of giving them a second chance at life
