Thank you very much. I discovered the problem after running out of coolant. I drive a 2013 Ford Fiesta 1.0 Ecoboost. I also need to replace the whole pipe because the connector became brittle, hence the leak. Thanks for the informative video. At least now I know exactly what to do. You a star 🌟.
Thank you so much for the compliment 🙌
I always try my best to help people as much as possible :)
You won't believe it but on our ST I had to replace all 3 pipes 🤣🙆♂️
Also make sure you flush your car properly and mix your anti-freeze in to avoid rust im the water system 😊
I also have a video on that 🙌
Spot on. Had the exact same issue with the turbo hose. Waiting on mine being delivered. How was the new one going back on?
Looks like we are not the only one having this problem 🤣🤦 also I did show what i did... Was really difficult with the limited space 🤣 but is possible atleast
This is helpful. Thanks!
Super glad I could help 🙌🙏
Thanks bro..had the same issue with the brittle fitting.
Are you referring to that little part that broke off?
A bit late for the show but glad I found this vid… can you perhaps tell me the part number & where you purchased the bottle from? I’m also from South Africa (I saw the GP plates on the other car 😉)
Lol damit 🤣🤣🤣🤣
All the parts I got from Goldwagen. Just take note I do not reccomend getting the bottle there as i had to return the bottle I bought and had to get a other one.
For some reason the second one I got fit much better and was a bit more expensive so I do not know if they have more than one option.
The problem I had with the first one was the lid had way to much play even when tighten down. Hope it makes sence :)
@@megalodononwheelsyeah I know what you mean… one more question the pipe that broke in the vid how much was it at ford?
Now that is a question I can not awnser 🤣
I had to replace all 3 pipes as they are super brittle, I think each was between 500 and a 1000 🤔
@@megalodononwheels yoh 😲 but thanks for the info bro 🙏🏼
Does this system have to be re-pressurised? I can I change this myself or do I need specialist tools?
You can do it yourseld :) nothing needs to be re-pressurised. Just follow the steps in the video and you should be ok.
Also watch out for the small pipe it is very brittle
Where did you buy the hose you replaced? Also what’s that top hose called, both of them are leaking on my 2014 fiesta se
Hi. I got both of them at Ford.
They have a full diagram on their system that shows all of it.
The one goes to the turbo and the other one to the side of the engine.
Do change them as quick as possible as you dont want your car to overheat
Is that what looks like "boiling" from the pipes coming into the tank, normal? Is it just part of the circulation of the cooling system?
At first it was a lot of air in the system so as it is turning it is pulling all the bubbles out, and then initially it has to stop when all the bubbles is out 💪
Is it the same for the se sense it doesnt yave a turbo
Sorry I don't understand 😆
What’s the upper hose connected to from tank to where
Finally today I had a look at it 🤣 mine actually broke while making a video on changing the A/C pump 🤦♂️ I haven't removed it yet but it looks to go all the way to the back of the engine. I will need to remove the air intake pype to properly replace it.
I changed the pipe today, unsure what it is going into but it was such a struggle to get it out behind the engine 👎 I nearly set the car on fire 😂
Hi what could be the root cause of this
I think it is age and not proper maintenance as the water system is one of the last things a person looks at.
It can also maybe be pressure building up in the water system from a leaking head gasket or something.
a new coolant tank provides 100hp again? 5:25
Lol 🤣 just a joke 🤣
But sure feels good looking at that new tank 🤣
@@megalodononwheels 🤣
Check ur caps people 🎉
🙌
@@megalodononwheels only reason I say this is because I have to replace the tank cause the lid is stuck 😂 Ford are abit silly
