Well done. Funny, but Thunder Mountain Bikes installed my GX while I was traveling. My wife picked up the bike without getting any instructions. Ironically, this video answered all my questions.
If I’m upgrading from a sram GX cable derailleur to the sram GX asx derailleur would my current chain be able to fit? Or would I need a new chain? I just put on a brand new chain so I don’t really want to buy another one.
i have a question I have a Giant Defy Advanced 2 bicycle with a Shimano 105 groupset, and I'm now considering getting Sram Rival AXS front and rear derailleurs and shifters. Is it possible to use them without changing the crankset, cassette, and calipers, or do the other components need to be replaced as well? My rear cassette is 11/34, and the front crankset is 50/34 Dura-Ace R9000 model. Thank you in advance.
i thought all Sram derailleurs install to the frame directly without hangers. Also, they were advertising that there is no limiting screws. I'm confused. Someone chime in please?
Hello! This video shows how to install the previous version of AXS. SRAM's new Transmission line attaches directly to the frame and does not have limit screws.
Good call! Thank you for this. We don't find this to be a necessary step and don't usually need to do this for installs in our shop. But, it's a good step to keep in mind if you're having issues dialing in all in.
I did, had problems with my chain length (two short) and after installing a new chain works like a charm. I have a Shimano Derore CS-M6100. 10-51T Cassette
Why didn't you show the most difficult part, securing the cassette to the wheel. You showed all the easy stuff and not that. You spent ZERO time telling us what kind of freehub body we need for this install, you just assumed we had the right one. Thumbs down from me.
These kits all use a Sram XD driver. There are a bunch of videos online that cover XD driver installation, and they are not unique to this groupset, so we did not cover it. The AXS Upgrade kit also does not include the cassette, and most people that snag an upgrade kit, already have the cassette installed. If you need help with that part of the installation, this video from SRAM is great: th-cam.com/video/vfyGT7uQX4U/w-d-xo.html
Great guide, helped me install my AXS upgrade kit!
Would be great if you mention that the b-tension (chain gap) adjustment needs to be done in full sag (fully)!

Great video, made it so easy to install.
Excited to see who wins your axs give away! Hopefully I’ll get the email! Haha y’all rock!
Great, simple video instruction. Thank you.
Next time I'm in Sedona, I'm there!!
These guys know their stuff. They installed mine without a glitch.

Does this need UDH or work with any hanger? I'm so confused about whether my non UDH can support this.
Well done! The only thing I would add is when you need to micro-adjust.
He mentioned that in the video. Even showed you how to do it.
Good video. I gotta get one of these upgrade kits.
Work on cassete 12V cassete 11/50?
You use the existing cassette, crank, etc?
Thats correct. Your existing SRAM Eagle Cassette and Crank will work with the upgrade kit.
I have a shimano derailleur it’s a 12 speed is it just as easy in the video to upgrade
i have a question

Sorry if it's a stupid question. I'm doing a remodel in a few months time, i'm just buying everything i need first. Can i use this on an e bike?
Yup! This can be used on an ebike. I woudl just make sure your chainring is compatible with 12-speed Sram Eagle.
The app controls look cool, thanks for the video

can i adjust the settings to use a 9 speed cassette?
Unfortunately, no. These kits are designed for 12 speed Sram Eagle Drivetrans only.
Forgot About Sag When Setting B Gap. Let some air out of the Shock till it’s at 25-30%

@@thundermountainbikes So you dont really need to set the sag??? thats only if you can dial it in 100%?
Nice video!
Anyone tried with a Shimano cassette? I know SRAM will say no.. but I've read it works fine.
