We Indians are cowards. In a civilised democracy, the press would have torn the government to pieces and the people would have been out on the streets. Never seen this show of courage in Indias

The truth must be brought to light and the hypocrisy of what is happening must be dealt with very seriously.

    May your efforts be fruitful.

Supreme Court is a body of Judges who owe their present and future prospects to the Government in power.
What one can expect in this case is for the Court to delay the matter as far as it can and allow the Government to appoint the new EC on the basis of the existing law which would allow it to appoint a person whose tenure would extend beyond the next General.Election.
This will leave an excuse to the Court to say that nothing can be done to the new appointment, as it did in the case of the appointment of the previous 2 members, even if it strikes found the present law.

People have lost faith in present election process. And mind it The World is watching how Indian 🇮🇳 democracy being controlled by ruling party. The ruling party must remember if they act automatically they will also go the way congress party went down!

I highly appreciate the efforts of Anjali Madam and the activists like her who fight for justice for the people of India. It appears that the BJP government is telling 140 crore people " look we are doing the best for the country, you need not question our decisions and actions, even if you do we wre not going to take it seriously."
I hope the S.C. will deliver a positive judgment without delay in respect of the issues that have been discussed in the interview.
I congratulate HW News, especially Neelu Vyas for conducting the interviews which are relevant to the times we are living in.

All GOI autonomous agency heads viz., EC, CBI, ITax, RBI, Governers, army chief's, etc are to be appointed by the head of the GOI --:The President -- assisted by the CJI, PM, LOp, & 3 eminent experts consortium rather than the PM constituted committee

India’s civil society and independent organisations have let down its democracy. Eleven years on, and there’s been no effective action to counter this creeping dictatorship? How is it that you couldn’t unite and craft a strategy to challenge and remove authoritarian leadership?
In the 1970s, a similar battle was fought and won against Indira Gandhi’s regime. Back then, people mobilised, civil society leaders stood firm, and a movement drove real change. What’s changed now? Many of these so-called leaders in civil society seem content in their comfortable lives, offering little more than words.
Until there’s a willingness to take to the streets and reignite the spirit of resistance, progress is unlikely. Without action, talk alone will achieve nothing. Just my two cents.

The present system of appointing the Election Clmmissioners is heavily loaded in favour of the party in power. The conduct of elections appears to be favouring the ruling party. Right from announcing the schedule and the entire election process are biased. This is the impression people carry. Election Commission is an independent constitutional body, and why should it be appointed by the government unless they have some vested interests. We have often seen the EC not acting on the complaints of the opposition. Instead of addressing the concern of the opposition, the EC is often justifying the very issues being raised by them.
