    Please ask the L&T chairman to travel by train and bus instead of in his Merc. Tell him to send his wife to work like a normal woman in his company and sacrifice his house help (which some employees cannot afford) and some part of his huge salary to his employees instead of sitting in his plush office and making such stupid statements even if it means answering a question on a "Saturday off" by one employee.
    Be human, realistic and get up and find out why people are looking for the holiday.
    Also to make this nation great it first requires to have corruption controlled. Ask Narayan Murphy why his daughter paid less tax in the UK and later when the truth was revealed she had to pay more.
    Instead of talking big ask the two to do something about corruption which will certainly make a great nation not working 90 hours or 70 hours.

    L & T was started by two European -Danish Engineers Larson and Toubro turned Dairy farmers who moved to India in 1930s. During World War II they were given other projects. This guy runs only a Palmisty shop on Sundays and his wife teaches Bharatanatyam. Both his children are in USA. He did not create L&T. He is an employee time to dismiss him.

    If you let some unqualified active CEO and retired CEO, they will show their mental imbalance and inability to do anything in 70 or 90 hours also. because all the work done by other, these people are just a mere spectators. These CEO do the toughest job of working on excel and mentally without understanding the real time challenge.     The problems with most managements is that they equate time with output. Innovate ways to achieve results in lesser time is what is required.
    Indian companies spend very little on training in soft skills like kaizen, 6sigma etc. Also modern gadgets, virtual meetings, self evaluation should be the basic setup in any Organisation.

    My suggestion is that if more work hours or man hours are required to achieve growth rate of his company then he should hire more people. But don’t expect those number of man hours from the same number of people.     There is client , consultant, contractor , where as L & T and Infosys were belong to contractors ,In EPC contracts all 3 where do homework else they will not finish contract since rules are internationally accepted you can not deviate from baseline schedule (initial terms and conditions) , where as in measurable contract only contractors work more, client and consultant go on changing terms and condition there is no baseline schedule as per law, only big contractors make money because they could able to finish jobs in measurable contract mode with in time and budget making labours to work more even 18 hours a day paying only 8 hours . India should adopt EPC mode of contracts there every body need work hard so contractor alone no need to spend more time in work. only contract mode to be changed.

    I work in LTTS. Recently i came back from site to office. I saw that our site manager (she) literally walking on the floor threatening everybody that client is coming and if you walk in between or if you are loud I will throw you out personally. This is not l&t but ltts. Technology and ppl working behind are core engineers still this is the situation.

    This guy took away 51 crores as salary last year. That's why he works on Sundays. Let the employee be given 1 crore. They too would work on Sundays😂❤
