Hi Chris, thanks for your message. It took me several attempts to refinish the wood until I found a colour that I was happy with. I ended up mixing two different colours and then I also bought a small tester size bottle of orange stain from eBay which I used to finish over the top of the browned finish. The orange then added a slight highlighted colour. I also dented the wood slightly in various areas and used a black sharpie to colour in a few small areas. Then smudged it off/in to the wood. This simulates some ground in dirt/oil. I will see if I can find the colours I used and add to the comments later. Thank you
Thanks for this video. I've just done the same mod to mine following your instructions and it looks and clicks in so much better than the original plastic magazine. Really happy with the mod. Cheers!
Thanks for your message. I know real ak’s are known for being a bit clunky and a slightly loose mag can’t affect it in the real steel. But as this is co2, the slightest gap between the mag and barrel would cause a massive difference due to co2 escaping. You should wait till you see what I did with the ak74u! I am really really pleased with that one. Vid will be coming
I have adopted magazine from Cybergun AK74 to this one and had no changes in the chrono! Also I tried to change the valves as you have shone in this video. I've done 3 shoots and noticed no increase, but then the shooting stopped. The valve is not suitable for this mag, or it needs some serious adjustment. So I put back the original one! In Belorussia there is one guy making the kit for the valve and for the rear part of the barrel that really gives an increase of power. He is making for the Russian Yunker, which is the same as Chinese AK47 from Cybergun. I have ordered one from him, so in some time I will get result.
Interesting. Maybe there are different versions as it has made a difference on my one. I will do another video on it showing shooting through chrono so you can see
Thanks for your message and some great questions. The magazine inserts are completely different unfortunately. The wood has been transformed and actually feels like wood now instead of being completely smooth and feeling rather plasticky. Re the rust, all steel, even certain grades of stainless steel will rust if not oiled. It only needs to be a very thin film just to preserve it otherwise the humidity in the air and moisture from hands etc will make steel go rusty. Hope this answers your questions. Thanks

Hello again. I suspected you are in UK, and your gun laws are partially known here in Portugal, where they probably took inspiration to make our actual ones at least relatively about airguns, airsoft, model guns, and blank guns. Any way: try to contact REAL FAKE GUNS mayby here on TH-cam, or on Facebook. There is a German company that sells real steel parts, and some people transformed real steel guns to airguns or airsoft guns, which was great as then they got the real look and strength. I think this was forbidden in all Europe. Unfortunately the company changed the name recently. I can't remember the name, but I will send it to you. The outer shell of the real steel magazine can easily fit in this replica, and you can do it with out problems... Keep us posted, please please!!! I also know that a Russian real steel AKs maker, is making ( or did ) replicas using much of the real steel ones. As I think it happened with the Makarov pistols. I got the idea of buying them here in Portugal in 4,5mms but I do not know. I do not remember the name of the Russian factory😮😢. Yours seems to be very accurate and strong made. What is its brand again, please???
@@pedrotome9119 "Yunker" is the name of the gun. They are not in production any more since I think 2015. The name of the factory is IZHMASH. They make real Kalashnikov and many many more!

Amazing! Thanks for letting me know. Pleased you tried it and you’re happy with the result. Makes a big difference to overall feel and appearance
Excellent mods , quite ingenious 😊. A little wiggle in an AK mag is very common. A lot of times the shinny bolt is from chrome plating.

👍🏻 Hey, you did a great job on this gun. Do you know where to order the original mag to make the rework?
Thank you my friend. I got my one from a place called d&b militaria based in lingfield. Usually got loads of bits and pieces listed in their website.
Hey there - can I ask what you used to weather the furniture (hand guards and stock)
