Hey man my mini 4 is a bit like that but not as bad on the top as his is. So thank god I found this video because I thought that it wouldn’t be able to be repaired

Good video, but as in other videos I've watched, I don't understand why everyone points out not to push the tool too far in so not to damage the LCD when you are going to replace the whole unit anyway? This would only be a problem if you are only replacing the Digitizer glass and have to reuse the LCD. That job requires specialty tools that most people wouldn't have as the glass is glued to the LCD and must be separated with a very fine wire and then heated in a special oven to affix the glass to the LCD.
If it dont have home button, it dont display?
Do i have to buy a Glass + the LCD or does only the Glass Makes IT?

I'm trying to open my ipad mini 4 but the screen isn't broke and I don't have any grip to help me. Only a little suction cup. I try to separate the screen from the Ipad but the glue don't let it go. Maybe I don't wait enough. Do you have an advice ?

On Amazon I found glass only for this same mini 4. Save over $100. Should I get it?
glass only is a little hard, I would suggest to do screen assembly instead!
you wont be able to take the LCD off the glass without special equipment, and re-glue it back. The new ipads have the LCD and digitizers FUSED together. You will damage the LCD panel if you try to take the glass off alone.
A cracked screen these days basically renders the ipad useless, the cost goes down so much that youre better off keeping it cracked or just throw it out. You can probably find a whole Ipad used for the cost of a new screen assembly. The older ipads had the screen just contact, so you could replace the digitizer relatively easily.
But if you do want to replace the screen. get the full screen assembly for a hassle free install. Also dont forget the magnet sensor at the bottom near the home button. This will not be included with the new screen. If this sensor is not transferred over, the sleep function will be lost (top right button). It has to be delicately re soldered back into place and then all features will work.
Another note: home button is paired to ipad, DO NOT ever replace the home button or fingerprint recognition feature will be lost on the ipad, it will work as a simple home button only.
I successfully fixed my screen, got the ipad used for cheap and it was worth the repair. Sleep works, home button fully functional and original.
transfer the tape, you just completely screwed up the entire screen replacement.
