Omg you too :( I did many years ago, and my 2 year old had just walked past me in the kitchen & then POP it exploded on me !!!! I had 2nd degree burns !! Uhhh but thank gosh my baby wasn’t hurt

Thank you for posting such an in depth and informative tutorial on this iteration of the IP. My old PKP is on its last legs, and I've struggled to get spares. Initially, I was looking for the Instant Pot, but there were none available in the UK at the time. Anyway, I'm now looking to replace the PKP with an 8 litre Instant Pot, and was surprised to see how many versions are currently available.
With the exception of the Pro version, most of the options are more or less the same price, making it difficult to differentiate between models. This has really helped.
We just got the exact same product on a one day only Target sale for $50, I can't wait to start cooking in it!

You don’t have to cancel the keep warm feature. It only activates when the temperature gets below a threshold. The time to depressurization is the same with or without keep warm.

Thank you for making video! I have a newer model Duo Plus and I hadn’t used it because it has the pressure release button like this model and all the videos I’d watch would confuse me because of the different buttons. Now I know not to touch it until after it’s done. So again, thank you so much!!

Hello and thank you for the how to, I’m new to using the Instant Pot and have a Duo Nova and was wondering about making hard boiled eggs, my machine doesn’t have a manual setting like some of the models and the instructions are well not there to explain

Hi Anita, may I know if I could choose to press the pressure release button down if I’m using the steam function? Certain recipes require the IP pressure release handle to be in venting position.
Hi, the quick release button should be in the seal position when you’re using the steam program 😀

I just got this for Christmas. So to release pressure naturally all I gotta do it press cancel once it’s done cooking and let it be for 15-20 mins?
How did you decide to wait 15 mins before releasing the pressure for the chicken? Is there a general rule of thumb as to diff types of foods re whether you can release immediately or not?
With the air fryer lid, would it not be able to crisp up that skin after it’s cooked instead of the broiler? I’m really torn between the 10 qt model or the 8 qt with air fryer lid.

Great review. You mentioned 15 minutes for natural release. Is it natural release if you pressed the release button yourself?
Thanks! No, that’s quick release, right after pressure cooking is finished. Natural release is leaving the unit alone and wait for the float valve to drop down 😀

Hi, there are safety features so no need to be afraid. There are cooking times in the included booklet. There are also plenty of recipes on Instant Pot’s website 😁
How do you know how long it should take for say a chicken to cook? Or a beef roast or soup or beef stew

Great review. When you left it alone for 15 minutes to natural release did it give you a time count with an "L" like the other models? Mine did not. The screen just turned off. I'm wondering if there's something wrong with mine.
