My dear, you are nothing less than fabulous. To play this excruciatingly difficult work with such freedom and taste has left me in awe.
My ego died... although I do no play piano.... I play violin but I always want to play something from Prokofiev... it is great, Iam speechless...

The head-splitting distance between the hands near the climax and at that pace - it is astonishing just to be able to play this.
Just heard Ms Wang play this - both are just incredibly gifted young women.

WOW, I'm Just in shock, Prokofiev created THAT THING in 1912, but It is incredibly amazing and progressive even 100 years later. No words.
It isn't progressive at all anymore, but it is groundbreaking for its time ;) The "machinery" sound got very popular with young composers in the early 20th century and this is one of the first examples.

There is so much depth in her music... She has so much to offer this world.
This looks humanly impossible. Except there's a human doing this beast of a piece so sublimely. Jaw drop.
Electric &full of individuality ! She has it all ! Sound , excellent wrists , always forward line , rhythmic punch . She makes this oft played virtuoso workout make wild Sense . Amazing her use of pedal in this to get exactly the sound she wants ! Training and born with it intuition !!!
I don't know about best performance, but I'm just amazed that anybody can play that thing. There are a good half dozen or more performances of the Prokofiev Toccata in these pages and all of them are amazing. Tiffany's stands right up there with the legends. Bravo.
This is amazing playing!! What intrigues me the most, beyond the superb technique demonstrated here, is how a piece like this, with so many moving parts, can be mastered, with so few tonal references.
Like Andy Hughes say, I second that. Adding: the way you turn notes into music is more than beautiful, it is full of wisdom and love of life. That's my 25 cents. ❤
What one can say more? BRAVISSIMO! I share the excitement with the audience and give you a standing ovation. Tiff, Goodness, how hard have you been practising. You have matured a LOT! I remember your earlier videos where you lacked some power on your hands, but wow, what I can see now is that you have almost no problems to put so much power on your playing and your technique has also got just outstandingly well, no single missed note.

My first time hearing this very interesting piece. This piece is polyphony with melody running in both hands in different direction. Prokofiev loves staccatos a lot.
This is the first time I have heard this piece on the piano. There is a version for organ that I am very familiar with. What an excellent job playing thius beast of a piece, BRAVA Tiffany!!!

Loved it To Death! I hope your fingers did not feel overshadowed by those exciting leaps and furious octaves! Prokofiev has a tendency to consume the pianist which is magical (and healthy) - no room for Ego - Inner Child running amok! Just watch players' faces! NOTE: others my find this surprising, this piece is fairly easy to memorize! "T" I think you're videos are so sweet.
Compares very favorably with Claire Huangsci's superlative performance. Marvelous technical facility at work here.

Bravo and then some, young TIffany! There is this world wide self-feeding loop of mass audiences, sophisticated analysis of what they will buy, and brilliant minds marketing this with all the precision in their power, and then there's Prokofiev, who somehow tears through the multi-layered nothingness to grab you in the guts. (Thank God or the Other Guy, whoever's responsible.)

Best performance, par to Martha Argerich & Yuja Wang. I don't like to compare Tiffany with other pianists, but here I mean that as a compliment. BTW, that 2011 recital was hard enough to drain a pianist twice Tiffany's age at that time... stunning!

you are by far the most captivating pianist I ever heard ! I would love for you to play my toccata in Cminor-it too is diabolical, and lots of fun!!!!!!!
Wish I could find the edition that leaves out the four trills
VERY neat!! Little use of pedal making the notes stand out very distinctly. Equally as good as Wang, perhaps more dynamically interesting than hers.
The best performance compared to the ones I've heard, as all the patterns are clearly audible despite the stormy writing.

Lately I've been hearing a lot of people they don't like Prokofiev, but I can't help but like the rythmic noisy Prokofiev and so much more when fiercely played like this, I usually say, played with fire, but this goes a little beyond fire, it is the noisy Prokofiev I love, it is Prokofiev, I hope I made my self clear. Terrific performance.
That was pretty amazing from a technical perspective, I will never be that good on piano. On a side note, I'll bet guys get excited when you make that orange mix drink that the astronauts took to the moon.
