That's ironic because the reason Rick loves Morty (or at the very least he doesn't want to be without a Morty) is specifically because they're so different from each other and because Morty is free from Rick's nihilistic mindset.

I know it’s real easy to cast Rick as the root of all evil, which in many cases he is. But not in the case of Beth and Jerry’s marriage, remember Rick wasn’t even around when they got married, he only came back into her life towards the beginning of season 1. And I guarantee they had problems before then, I mean we have literally see Jerry lock Beth out of the car and leave her to fend off a feral homeless man alone.
I’ll defend my simp bro Jerry here, it takes two to tango and Beth is just as responsible for getting pregnant as Jerry. Not fair of Rick to blame Jerry and he sure as heck loves Summer and Marty.
