I love how so many people were happy that this was a Jerry centric episode because we feel bad for him. We pity him. And a huge part about the episode was about how Jerry uses pity to get things.
John Mersch there's a difference between dumb pity and rightful sympathy.
No he really isn't.
Is that really a fair example at the end though. Regardless of your point, Jerry taking advantage of Rick while he's "dumbed down" is understandable even if Jerry doesn't abuse his sorriness. Rick actively has gone out of his way to belittle, undermine, and destroy Jerry and his life, succeeded, and then continued to dismiss him as a person, let alone his (currently former) son-in-law and the father to likely the only good things in his life at this point... I've never, at any other point in the series seen him "prey on the weak" looks to me like he's just getting revenge on the dude that actively and intentionally took a metaphorical shit on his and his family's life.
Also, I can't say Jerry's a dick, he is manipulative though, but it doesn't seem to be intentional... Even in this episode, where his manipulative nature is acknowledged and he's called out for it, he seems surprised at the revelation. In my mind a dick would continue to be that manipulative person after the revelation, but Jerry seems like he wants to change. I dunno, just thought I'd throw in my thoughts in...

I like how the writers forced us to pity Jerry right before proving to us that he uses pity to manipulate others... We all know a Jerry/have been a Jerry so I thought this episode was pretty important

Feel so bad for Summer's boyfriend. Summer literally left him and got married to someone else without telling him. Yet he dumps her like a man tells he that he wants to be with someone else and gets mutated.

That Ethan already turned into a Cronenberg since that happened in episode 3 of season 1, before C-137 Rick and Morty went to another dimension. But yeah, we can still wonder. :D

Rick had that dumb dart launcher on the shelves behind him in the Vindicators episode. I think these cybernetic enhancements were done purposefully by Rick. Also, Morty seems to be getting a lot smarter: Figured out the Morphizer and felt confident trying to defuse Rick's neutron bomb. What happens if Morty's brain waves don't hide Rick anymore?

Andre D Killing repeatedly does make it physically easier to do, but it does not usually make it emotionally easier to do. This is known. Take a look at the statistics regarding veterans and mental health. So many of them are traumatized by what they've done.

Professor X Did you see the part where Morty just went "shhh"? I understand the "brave when family is involved" but you don't do it the way Morty did it. That was definetely more of a "Rick action" than something Morty would do.
Morty has been a lot smarter this season. Just think about episode 4, how he was answering all those questions rick set up and how he defused that bomb. Also it was a popular theory when episode one of season 3 aired. Remember "I used to wear blue pants"
Even Morty's speech pattern is starting to resemble Rick's. I would say it's definitely a possibility that Morty could turn into Rick when he gets older
Ok, so Blue is Spacial travel, Green is Interdimensional travel and Yellow is Scalar travel. Since Blue+Yellow is green, does that mean other dimensions are just Scaled universes at other locations? Like the microverse in Rick's battery?

Jonas Friemel But why do you have to pay to watch people watch a show? What does that money even go towards because the Vikings skits for example anyone could do it was literally household stuff. They aren't doing work by watching a show they enjoy. Sure $5 isn't much for one person maybe but for one channel trying to get thousands to pay that they'd be rich quick. And for what? If they have jobs which they likely do since they never upload constantly with shows that are old and have episodes done and out so I'm really wondering.
Because people love money and don't really love their fanbase, they love the money their fanbase provides because they act like they give a shit.

Fariko Wishless I think you're missing the point of Patreon. The Normies work hard to edit the videos that get put on TH-cam and a little money helps them to achieve this, but TH-cam doesn't make much money coz of demonitisation and such. So, they offer whatever extras they can to their biggest fans so that they can afford to do everything else. Don't think about it as paying for an unedited video. Think about it as paying to keep the quality of the entire channel at a higher standard and them using the unedited video as an incentive.
Rick went through all of the trouble to upgrade himself with cybernetics. Why isn't his portal device one of them? He would never lose it, if he hooked it up to his body as an energy source he would likely be able to keep it charged, or whatever power source he used for the rest of those devices, and he really would be able to travel wherever he wanted. Doesn't seem like him to forget or not realize something like that. He may have left that part of improvising behind in the season premiere.
He does like to challenge himself so that could be one.

Rick is really upset about Jerry getting Beth pregnant in her teens, and destroying her potential. But - Where the heck was Rick? He supposedly left when she was a small child, and only returned a couple years ago. So what the heck? Is something wrong with the time line? We've seen memories of Rick and Morty when Morty was a small baby as well (the ricks must be crazy). Something is off.
Also Jerry did set up Rick to get killed, but then risked his life to save him. Why not keep that in the story to tell the family. Jerry comes off looking good all the way around here. Well, except when he begged for his life in front of the guy who looks like a half shaved koala.
Maybe Beth is coming to the realization that Rick was a lousy father, and she shouldn't be emulating him, even though she still loves him. Thanks to Morty anyway. Morty may not be a genius, but he's not so dumb as everyone has been making out either. Nice to see him go all revengy on Ethan for messing up Summer. - - -Although it's hard to image the Summer that spent 3 months married to Hemmorage in the post-apocalyptic waste-lands getting all twisted up over a pathetic slob like Ethan.

The sequence of 'cosmic apotheosis' is literally CHOCK full of classical mysticism references...too many to list...but some of it dates backs to medieval magical grimoires and alchemical treatises. To see them used as a one off background reference in a cartoon adventure was a trip in itself!

Bob seems like a cool guy with a nice house. A bit odd he could not hold his attention for more than a few seconds at a time. I pretty sure at some point he was imagining wearing your skin as a body suit.

OH god dammit, think i got the plot.
At Season 3 Episode 1 the story Rick told the bug wasnt a lie, at on point there is a split path for Rick:
1) Rick from the council/future offers Rick to go with him and get his tech and he accepts it, leaving Beth and her mom alone.
2)Rick refuses, get his family killed and goes behind the asshole that killed them, explore the universe and fight the Federation. At some points he misses his family and goes secretly to universes were they arent killed (like the flashback we saw on the screen with baby Morty) until he cant take it anymore and finally goes back to his family in another dimension.
So the Rick we follow is the Rick that didnt abandon his family and lost them.

Lol that's your question? Only two people from the group live in that apartment, so I used 'they' because rest of us travel to come watch the shows at this location but we watch the shows together live at 11:30 pm, so I used 'we'.
