Foundation choice does NOT match at all. Totally different than chest area. So obvious. Maybe if she had a turtleneck on! To yellow.
Hi Lisa - you are not making allowances for two things - the lights and also the fact that Anne was quite nervous, so her neck area was unnaturally pink and flushed. In daylight (and after the filming was over) Anne's makeup looked lovely - I know because I drove her home!x
I do work in the studio a lot and I have to mix foundations all the time as it doesn't matter about after the photos have been taken - You want a good result in the pictures. I do love the products and they are amazing. Would definitely consider buying these. But as for this filming, I would have just gone down her neck slightly as on the right side the foundation stopped. But like it said, I love the products - Was just the way they were applied. I also have to agree with Lisa's comment about the foundation looking more yellow while Anne's neck and chest appear with more red tones. I was actually surprised to see the foundation not being "blended" under the chin and down the upper neck area a bit. It may be the lighting and, her face did look quite nice but, lighting or not, the face area did not match the neck and chest skin. Prior to starting, Anne's skin on her face was more in line with the coloring of her neck and chest area so...that leads me to believe that it wasn't necessarily "lighting" that was at issue here. That's just my observations. Nothing more.

Just to answer Robin Rollins below. All the women in our videos are my friends and acquaintances. None of us has had 'work' done (no botox either)- That's the deal when we choose women to appear in our videos (that includes me and the makeup artist, Linda.)
+Tricia Cusden It wouldn't demean your work or the ability to take care of yourself even if you did. My mum has had some soft fillers and they have completely lifted her jowl, which is the main downfall of the aging process. The rest of her smooth lovely skin is water, skincare and diet!! People can sod off with their judgements. Will show her your products.
Ruined the look with the dark red gloss at the end. She actually would have looked younger with a light gloss shade.
Peach coral or pink lipstick would of worked but still overall excellent look
I love the finished look but to be fair, Anne has beautiful skin. If you had worked on a face like mine (from Texas) you would have really seen if the makeup could cover sun spots. Thank you.
I liked the look of the makeup on Ann's skin; nice coverage and somewhat dewy but not shiny. The one thing that kind of bugged me, however, was that the makeup artist did not blend the foundation out to the ears and along the jawline onto the neck a little...so there was a visible line in front of the ears, etc. Just something I noticed. Otherwise very nice.

NOTHING short of a total facelift the ton of makeup would help my baggy eyelids, uneven sides of my face(due to a cavernous angioma in my right temporal lobe that is inoperable), spider angiomas all over my face and jowls. I'm going to be 55 this month but I look 65 at least. =/

Hi robinwg1. Wanted to explain - the foundation was a very good match for Anne but a combination of the studio lights and Anne's nervousness (shown in the pink colour on her neck) combined to make it look wrong. In 'real life' it looked perfect :)

The color on her face seems to be darker than her neck, seems to stand out more.
You stopped the foundation way before her jaw line. Why? you didn't carry it down her neck to blend into her face. It looked like she was wearing a mask. Not good. Professional???

I love this range of make-up. I apply it at 6.30 am every day and it stays beautifully in place until late evening. The texture of the foundation is like soft velvet and gives a radiant look to my skin. I believe I will Look Fabulous Forever!
So happy that you love your LFF products Siobhan! The secret to making your make-up last is to use the three Fabulous Primes. Mixing the Face Prime with the Base and also applying the Eye Prime and Lip Prime really makes a difference to the finished effect and also to how long your makeup stays looking good.

Too many layer's!! Little bit of this & little bit of that=too much.
Never - ever put highlighter above and on the eye bag. The highlighter only enhances this ladies eye bags. On the eye bag in the crease and above, only a Matte concealer should be used. Also no powder on the eye bags. You can see how much more pronounced her eye bags look in the "finished" picture vs the before picture.
I think that the colour looks far too yellow for this woman and the contrast between the face and the neck colour looks awful. It also looks like far too much makeup on her as well.
Model is lovely mature woman. I am sure your products are good. However the makeup artist did not blend the products correctly.

When I worked for a pharmacy way back when part of our job was as a makeup consultant. We went to classes in NYC where we were taught to never pull the skin downward. Apply everything with an upward sweep. Pulling the skin down will eventually cause further sagging. Just a thought.

Did this woman's best friend just die? She's either about to sneeze or burst into tears. Never saw such a non-enthusiastic subject. But she does look good! Tell her to remind her face about that.
I'm 50 and I still have an oily t-zone. I mix illuminator with my primer to give my skin a youthful glow. Nothing is more ageing than flat matt. Light diffused around the face does wonders for softening features, making wrinkles and lines much less obvious. Apply (fluffy kabuki brush) VERY LIGHTLY the finest milled transparent loose face powder to set your makeup. Too much powder can be so very ageing. For me Murad products have stopped the inevitable grease ball look by the afternoon. For various reasons it is still possible to have oily skin past 50. I shouldnt complain really as I still dont have crows feet or lines! My eyes get a bit puffy some mornings but thats about it. For now that is : (
Please dont sit in the sun. Wear a high spf UVA and UVB facial sunblock everyday! Drink plenty of water. Eat plenty of fruit, veg and low fat protein to help keep your skin as youthful as long as possible. Stress and sugar damage our complexions terribly so do some yoga, meditate and eat an apple when you want something sweet.
All good advice Fifty and Fab. Very true that the sun and your diet plays a significant part in looking good as you age. I want us to celebrate an learn to celebrate ageing faces! That is why all my 'models' are real people and none has had 'work' done - but they all look fabulous with some carefully applied appropriate makeup.

Whatever happened to using upward strokes on the face? Isn't all this tugging and pulling the skin all ways bad for the skin?
Gunny o. If you use upward strokes on the face, you are pushing all of that stuff into your pores. You can end up with blackheads, whiteheads, and pimples. Not to mention that you're going against the grain of the peach fuzz on your face; I would think that would look pretty wierd close up. You should use downward and outward strokes, instead. I'm 63 and have been doing it this way for 4 decades; it works. The trick is not to pull hard on the skin when you apply anything.

Good video but could be better if you would have a better camera position in order to see more of what the artist is actually doing rather than seeing mostly the artist's hands. Also doesn't help to see her applying makeup to the opposite side of the face where the application isn't really visible.
From what I can find, this makeup is not cruelty free - which is a deal-breaker for anyone with a conscience. Please let me know if I am mistaken.

She does look more youthful. Unfortunately, she looks completely made up because her skin on her face does not match the skin on her neck. She has yellow on her face and pink on her neck. You can really see the contrast from her chin to her neck. It was applied well. Just the wrong base. It doesn't match her true skin tone.

What was the foundation that you used?
+Pamela Dixon Hi Pamela. We used Base 02 which is our fair/medium foundation. I know a lot of comments here think that it looks wrong but when we made the video Anne looked amazing. Triciax
