It would be helpful if the narrator spoke a little more clearly rather than slurring his words. I end up having to rewind every 10 seconds to understand what he is saying
Nice to see yet another worthy contender in the growing mid-sized displacement naked category. Not sure I agree though with the immediate comparison to Triumph's striple (since the latter puts out 20 more hp and comes with better spec'd brakes and suspension).
I saw the faired version of this bike. It felt small and compact. Typical Honda - it handled brilliantly and has awesome finishes and would make an awesome commuter. But yep, low on power. TBH though the 80hp you have works well so I didn't feel lacking on legal speeds. I'd like to see how it performs above 140km/h.
It's not in the motor department, not sure any where else, I do like the naked CB650f over the CBR650, they say it has a lot vibes, in the mid to upper range, he said nothing about that ? At least not that I could understand, maybe I missed part.
So the mt-07 has more torque and a higher displacement vtwin and your excited about the honda!!! Correct me if i'm wrong but i have seen the mt at £1000 cheaper for a much better looking bike...forget the triple put the mt and this head to head whilst the weather is still good!!
Completely agree, why on earth did they go back to the outdated front forks instead of the inverted suspension setup used on the CB 600 F Hornet (2005 - 2013) which looks far more aesthetically pleasing and agressive.... this is overpriced and just can´t match the MT-07 and pricewise is not that far behind the MT-09
This is a completely new Engine, chassis basically everything. This isn't a revamped hornet bike/engine this is a NEW bike/engine/chassis and whatever else new they put on
hornet has 107 hp, this has 85. hornet had 180 wide tires, this has 160. hornet has inverted suspension, this doesnt. hornet has bigger brakes front and rear. this is an inferior bike in every way
it's not a Hornet ..period! the only mistake they did was to name her CB. which many in there mind go for the old Hornet, but it's not. it's just the bigger version of the new cb500 series with an extra 2 cyl and better aesthetics, get over it.
Steve DeCourier MT07 rusts badly on the down pipes and rear swing arm due to poor quality steel swing arm and has poor suspension . This is a bike you can commute on even in the winter .
Truly the only one, of the CB650 bikes I like, and it's not to be sold in the US, can't they see naked bike are selling in the US again, more so than some others, Yamaha seems to get it, I have tried to by a FZ07, but they keep being sold before I get there. Must be too slow.. lol
Seemed to be more of a sales pitch than anything else. Or he was trying to convince himself it was special, just not sure which ??------------ BTW Its a good looking bike, either way.
Honda does more consumer research than any other manufacture on the planet and this is what people want, so they built this bike. And you ride what, be honest , you do not ride a motorcycle do you.
So the mt-07 has more torque and a higher displacement vtwin and your excited about the honda!!! Correct me if i'm wrong but i have seen the mt at £1000 cheaper for a much better looking bike...forget the triple put the mt and this head to head whilst the weather is still good!!
Beautiful bike to ride, rode it today smooth like butter
Nice vid guys, simple, clean, no sound issues.
And no terrible dubstep lol :P

I'm about to get myself the CB650R... just can't resist that beauty.
Nice to see yet another worthy contender in the growing mid-sized displacement naked category. Not sure I agree though with the immediate comparison to Triumph's striple (since the latter puts out 20 more hp and comes with better spec'd brakes and suspension).
But who could resist a triple ;)
I saw one in Honda dealer ship recently and it looks better in real life then on videos. Those heat sink covers works for it really nice . :)
6399 is a price for a 125cc moped in Singapore!😢 bikes here are freaking expensive!!

it has 87 hp bc uk has a law where if a bike is under 88hp you can put a kit on it to make it leaner legal I'm pretty sure
This review is the stuff mayn. Let's go!!!!
Try to use some commas and full stops when you narrating review!
4 into 1 headers in a 650 it's fantastic
It looks fine but I doubt it's an MT09 killer.
It's not in the motor department, not sure any where else, I do like the naked CB650f over the CBR650, they say it has a lot vibes, in the mid to upper range, he said nothing about that ? At least not that I could understand, maybe I missed part.
It's tragic that Honda won't make a triple engine. Loosing out on big sales there.
i just traded my cb500f for the 650. I'll let you know how much fun I'm having. or not.
I'm afraid I bought one of these, can't wait to get rid.
+bikerdodge why? I want to buy one...
Well? What was wrong with it that you didn't like it? Or are you just trolling?
loved this bike

I want that headlight, gauge pod on my 919! There's your new hornet :p
Small bike or big guy ?
Do the review for the cbr650f!!
you simply can't compare the Street Triple's engine/character/fit & finish/components/all round package/etc. with this bike
How does it stack up against the MT09?
why is this not in canada yet?
Looks cool... but doesn't have the SOUND of a Hornet :P
£1200 more than the Yamaha MT-07 tho ?.....oh yeah you said it comes in five different colours......
Honda managed to ruin another great bike, hornet600 was perfect as it was but now they just dropped it
Completely agree, why on earth did they go back to the outdated front forks instead of the inverted suspension setup used on the CB 600 F Hornet (2005 - 2013) which looks far more aesthetically pleasing and agressive.... this is overpriced and just can´t match the MT-07 and pricewise is not that far behind the MT-09
+34979Charlie I have tested both, and the CB is a FAR better ride, and doesnt feel so cheap as the Yamaha does
This is a completely new Engine, chassis basically everything. This isn't a revamped hornet bike/engine this is a NEW bike/engine/chassis and whatever else new they put on

But will if rust as fast and fall apart as much as the also non-japanese made cbf125 I wonder!?
do they have after market exhaust
Still prefer the Hornet though
Surely he meant to say most boring bike of the year.
why does this this guy always look ridiculous on every bike.
because he is 6 foot3 lol
He looks like he's got nowhere to put his right leg. It just sort of hangs out the side.
It may be $1000 British Pounds less than the Street Triple, but it's also $1000 Pounds more than the MT-07.
LOL.
Steve DeCourier MT07 rusts badly on the down pipes and rear swing arm due to poor quality steel swing arm and has poor suspension . This is a bike you can commute on even in the winter .
You look big on the bike. The bike is too small?
no, the rider in the video is 6 ft 3. he probably only fits on a GS1200
Thanks, Bassini.
Yep. to small.
Why does Phil West ride with his shoulders bunched up? Must be uncomfortable...
I think it's just his shoulder armor sticking out
After posting that I was thinking it could've been his jacket lol
This or the fz/mt-09
£7GRAND would buy me a very nice 2010-2012 Yam R1
Why are bikes so small these days? It looks tiny.
Buy a Harley, go big, get big, and the price is big too.
Can it be restricted to an A2 bike?
maybe...or you could go for cb500, right on the bhp limit for A2
in my country they can tune almost any bike to the A2 regulation, IF the bike has 100hp or less.
It is not budget priced in my country. haha
and it's not available in mine = P
Ugh. And not sold in the States. :(
Truly the only one, of the CB650 bikes I like, and it's not to be sold in the US, can't they see naked bike are selling in the US again, more so than some others, Yamaha seems to get it, I have tried to by a FZ07, but they keep being sold before I get there. Must be too slow.. lol
2018, it is coming to a dealer near you. You meet the nicest people on a Honda.
Seemed to be more of a sales pitch than anything else. Or he was trying to convince himself it was special, just not sure which ??------------ BTW Its a good looking bike, either way.
Stop frikin' mumbling.
What kind of riding style is that? He looks too tall for the bike, or he just sits weird, it's uncomfortable to watch!!
But it looks stupid. Why didnt they go w the cbr500f look & sharpen it up?... look to the Z1000 for a clue.
?
The biggest mistake of the biggest motorcycle manufacturer, Honda forever, but this is a huge step backwards!
Honda does more consumer research than any other manufacture on the planet and this is what people want, so they built this bike. And you ride what, be honest , you do not ride a motorcycle do you.
terrible review. The guy also looks so uneasy with his knee out and being hunched.
So the mt-07 has more torque and a higher displacement vtwin and your excited about the honda!!! Correct me if i'm wrong but i have seen the mt at £1000 cheaper for a much better looking bike...forget the triple put the mt and this head to head whilst the weather is still good!!
Mt for fun, but the CB is practical
The MT is great fun but the swing arm, down pipes and fixings will rust long before the CB. It’s a summer bike .
