And also the Minish divine beast could be the one found in Hateno tech lab, it’s small so maybe?
Maybe that's how you get into the caves, they're only diddy little caves and Link, Zelda and Ganondorf all got shrunk. It would explain why you can't find caves in the first game.
But how would link see them if they are only visible to children?🤔 I mean we're never told Link's age but I don't think he's young enough to be considered a child. Unless we're talking about mentally, where he technically only has about a couple hours worth of memories

Tarrey town being the home of the minnish would explain the goddess statue. Just cuz you can't see anyone there wouldn't mean it's not widely populated
Hmm….There are many small goddess statues. One is in hateno at the mayors house. The one when you enter into Rito village and another small one in kakariko village
The Minish are the size of Link's thumb, and they can't be seen by everyone. I can't imagine a Minish Champion and their own divine beast. If they were in the game, they would have some supporting roll like the Koroks have.
@@ns0557212 How would that even work? All the Divine beasts are mobile and based off of animals. A tree as a Divine beast would just be silly. Plus, the Koroks are forest spirits, and only Link can see them, so they wouldn't exactly fit with the other main races. If they would have a Divine beast, I think it would be a beetle, or some insect-like creature.
Your point from near the end (exploring Hyrule at Minish size) is probably what broke their backs. That would be a huge workload. Enemy behavior concerning our tiny self would have been to be programmed. Each and every time... But it would have been fun to see a Minish Champion. Remember Gentari talking about besting a Rooster (for comparison: You cannot even fight back against newly hatched chicken.) back when he was young when asked where he got his feather from? Besides: He fought and bested a Rooster... A *hylian* Rooster... And anyone knows that the Cuccos of Hyrule are insane...
Imagine the Picori living in the stables and certain houses in the villages and the kinstones are similar to the korok seeds; you find them through puzzles. Maybe kinstone fusion could cause the Yiga to fall asleep so you can sneak in easier, unlock a shrine, clear the weather for a few days, act as keys to a dungeon (like the Wind Ruins in Minish Cap) etc. That would've been really neat.
Except for the fact that there's always rain in BotW, and one droplet of rain is enough to drown a picori, and puddles are like endless lakes. Water is ALWAYS a problem... right? unless this version is bigger... and more visible to adults... and probably more immune to cats and dogs XD
If they return in BotW's sequel, I really hope they rework them to appear closer to their weird-yet-cute, alien-like, bird-elf-mouse-gnome designs used in TMC because I strongly dislike the design they almost went with. The proposed BotW design, in my opinion, just looks too unambiguous and human-like.
Maybe they do. The design in the screenshot was likely not finished yet as the "Minish" in the shot looks a lot like Gully from Skyward Sword ( the little boy who wants a net to catch bugs ). They probably used his model as placeholder for testing and stuff like they used a model of Tetra riding Wolf Link in Twilight Princess before Midna was completed.
Now I’m hoping we get a whip weapon in the sequel. Maybe it’d come out of Links Sheikah arm. Take out flying or far away enemies and act like a hook shot wrapping around branches or attaching to cliffs.
Something like the sticky whip from skyward sword would be really cool if you could use it to disarm opponents with the charge attack like how you could steal keys with it in SS.
I would've loved to see the minish in the final version of BOTW, for real. I'm playing The Minish Cap for the first time now, and I think it would be amazing if they had made into the final cut. Now I can only hope we might see them again. Nice video ❤❤
Who else loves how we are here, playing as link and get destroyed by lynels, and link before the calamity, as seen in the memories, only uses his master sword and can destroy 3 lynels and over 10 bokoblins.
@@mf6484 I imagine that by the end of BotW he still hasn't recovered all of his memories as a knight so one could assume he hasn't remembered all of his combat training yet. Maybe we'll be able to learn new "swordmoves" as we play through BotW 2.
The Kikwi, Picori, Kokiri, and Koroks have never coexisted in a Zelda game, so it's likely that all four are simply different forms of the Deku Tree's children during various eras of Hyrule. Though that begs the question of why Zoras mysteriously vanished in Wind Waker.
I recall recently realizing I had never gotten any rupees out of the grass in BotW, and then facing the horrifying prospect that the minish went extinct. You say you've found rupees in the grass? Hmm. Maybe they're still out there, somewhere... But Link can't see them.
What if the minnish divine beast was the tiny hummingbird device in the sheikah lab? It is too small to be a divine beast but for a minnish it would be perfect
Didn't it look more like a whale though? 😮😕 Well if it is indeed a humming bird then that would have been a really fitting Divine Beast fot the Minish to be able to pilot. 👍😁
There's always hope for them to appear in the sequel since we know it is largely being made with cut content. Although some of it was originally planned for DLC, I would rather have a full game made with unused ideas.
What if the master cycle was the Minish Divine beast? Hah. Also, in minish cap, the minish were all over. It would be cool to see a minish village in each major settlement.
What I think would be cool in a Zelda game is a "calendar." Essentially npc dialogue and activity changes over time depending on the location, time of day, and most of all time of year. Villages hold festivals and other such events, side quests appear and disappear during certain times of year, and so on and so forth. That way it'd be possible to see more relevant active references to past games. Normally we just see items, names, and locations that reference older games, with some variation. However, with such a calendar there can be the Picori festival and other such events with associated side quests and different dialogue and activity from npc.
While in principle that sounds neat, I don't think it can be done story wise in a game wherein time does not really change aside from the day night circle and the occasional blood moon (in Hyrule it seams to be perpetual summer, different climates are associated to specific regions). To incorporate returning events like a festival or seasons, several years would have to pass in-game. It could be a recurring festival that is held every month (on the full moon for example) but that would make it very repetitive. Try to imagine taking several in-game years to unlock Zelda from her self-imposed prison/fighting Ganon. Link would age in that time. I think he was 18 when the calamity hit Hyrule and Zelda was 17. He'd be in his mid-twenties when you finish the game. It would make the love story between them kind of awkward.
@@mini-mei true true, although realistically speaking, as much time as most of us waste solving shrines and finding Korok seeds and hunting down treasure, years probably do pass before we get around to saving her lol. But I see your point. Still, maybe it could be done in a different LoZ game further down the line. Who knows? I'm forever hopeful. It would give a depth of personality to Hyrule and it's inhabitants that I think would he so very refreshing and immersive
@@EmpressAaliyah So true 😆 and they didn't even include fishing (which kind of saddens me, I love fishing mini games in games) And I'd love it if seasons where a thing. You wouldn't need specific armor to enter a region but you'd need it anyway for the entire map. Maybe even seasonal versions of different armor. And seeing all of the regions in different seasons would be amazing. Lakes could freeze, the Zora could have a sort of hibernation. Oh, the possibilities. You are right, it would give an immensive depth to the game.
I believe that the minish divine beast was the one hanging up in the tech lab in Hateno Village. Think about it. It's small, just the right size for a minish divine beast.
Shrinking would have been really cool. Imagine shrinking when facing the first phase of calamity Ganon, that it gets a staggered state and in order to damage him you must shrink to enter him damage inside him... or maybe, just to give it a nice twist, enter to him and little by little you start taking off his armor, exposing more parts to damage him or maybe even making him drop weapons so he can't use them for a time.
Did anyone else feel when they played BotW that although it was a big game, it only felt like the first part of a Zelda story? Similar to if they had released OoT but it finished when you pulled the master sword for the first time then you had to continue in OoT 2
According to Aonuma originally they wished to continue the "story" of BotW with a DLC that would have elaborated upon Ganondorf's "predicament" as Calamity Ganon but because of the many ideas that had been piled up they instead decided to make a full out continuation of the first game so as to deliver a full narrative-driven explanation for Calamity's existence. Thus one could see BotW as being part 1 of the "Wild duology". 😀
I would love the Minish to be in Botw but it seems kinda odd that the Champion of the Minish would have an Ability that makes them smaller.. it makes sense that if link would get the ability that it would make him smaller but not so much if the actual Minish Champion uses it. just kinda seems odd to me
I feel like with the inclusion of the Great Deku Tree and the Koroks the person in Creating a Champion is confirmed to be a Kokiri. That said perhaps the original idea wasn't to have them be Picori at all but rather Hylians that fled the calamity by shrinking down via Sheikah Tech and Link would've gained the same ability via the Sheikah Slate.
Minish Cap was my favorite handheld Zelda title and it was unfortunate they didn't go ahead and include them in BotW. I wish they'd include them in the next game. They are so important to the worlds lore, they should reappear and play a role in the next one.
The bigger question: Would Vaati have made a return with the Picori? I really want to see him in 3d. A big demonic eyeball with wings and claws would be terrifying in 3d.
I'm ok with how they went with things. At least in comparison to removing one of the major races and swapping them out with the Minish. If they manage to bring them into the sequel that's perfectly fine. And I'm sure they can do something good with them. Could certainly have been interesting to have them there on top of what we already got with an extra champion and maybe even a miniature divine beast to check out.
I'd like to see a video on how the creators of majoras mask could have been the zonai... I know it's off base here but I've recently discovered swirls on the recess that houses the mask before the final battle ensues. We know it was created by an ancient tribe. Could the zonai have gone back as far as before oot or even further. Also why are they helping the sheikah if they have a more darker chaotic background
I would be really funny if they actually weren't cut and nobody has seen them yet

NintendoBlackCrisis would like to know your location.
Ciarán Forde Ah, yes. My favourite champion, Ravioli
Imagine if because of this joke Nintendo were to actually allow us to cook ravioli in BotW 2. 🍝😋😅
It would be funny if the Minish were living in the caves that Link and Zelda are exploring....now that I think about it imagine if they were helping to keep Ganondorf contained...that would be weird.......but also interesting.
And also the Minish divine beast could be the one found in Hateno tech lab, it’s small so maybe?
Yeah that would be really cool! :)
- or Wii it (it would be a rally cool idea )
Maybe that's how you get into the caves, they're only diddy little caves and Link, Zelda and Ganondorf all got shrunk. It would explain why you can't find caves in the first game.
Link accidentally stepped on it
But how would link see them if they are only visible to children?🤔
I mean we're never told Link's age but I don't think he's young enough to be considered a child. Unless we're talking about mentally, where he technically only has about a couple hours worth of memories
Minish Cap squad staaaaand up! Really hoping the Minish and/or Vaati at least get referenced in BOTW2
Yessssss! :D
@@HyruleGamer We are few, but loud and strong
So if all zelda games are to believed as history for BOTW then i want a Link that has the Master Sword AND the Picori Sword along with Four Sword. If all those swords are canon then they exist somewhere in the world waiting for a hero to pick it up
@@andrewthemaroon8608 Unless they've been destroyed or lost to time and buried under tons of rock. It has been thousands of years. (Not denying that would be sick though)
@@Inkyink they were all used tobseal away an evil so if they were destroyed then that means that evil is out and about along with Calamity Ganon or what ever we are calling this next big bad!
I would honestly imagine that the minish will be in botw 2 or at least they should be in it. And let’s be honest, who wouldn’t love them to be in the game.
Yes please :)
Yes, that would be great!
Tarrey town being the home of the minnish would explain the goddess statue. Just cuz you can't see anyone there wouldn't mean it's not widely populated
Very true :)
Hmm….There are many small goddess statues. One is in hateno at the mayors house. The one when you enter into Rito village and another small one in kakariko village
@@magau3698 it's giant to them so maybe they make them
The Minish are the size of Link's thumb, and they can't be seen by everyone. I can't imagine a Minish Champion and their own divine beast. If they were in the game, they would have some supporting roll like the Koroks have.
Fair enough :)
They'd have to WORK with the koroks just have to a chance even. Maybe a mechanical deku tree!! That's there beast!
Strength in numbers
Kai Crow you wouldnt happen to be a fan of Hyrule Conquest?
10:00 Notice how he says RAVIOLI instead of REVALI. I like your vids man keep up the good work :)
Thanks lol :)
Ravioli is ravio confirmed
Hyrule Gamer: the fith champion.
Me: bruh isn't link the fith champion.
Like I've said to many, we play as Link so I wasnt including him. I was talking about the 4 we meet :)
Link is literally a champion
Your point from near the end (exploring Hyrule at Minish size) is probably what broke their backs. That would be a huge workload.
Enemy behavior concerning our tiny self would have been to be programmed. Each and every time...
But it would have been fun to see a Minish Champion. Remember Gentari talking about besting a Rooster (for comparison: You cannot even fight back against newly hatched chicken.) back when he was young when asked where he got his feather from?
Besides: He fought and bested a Rooster... A *hylian* Rooster... And anyone knows that the Cuccos of Hyrule are insane...
Yeah that possible is what broke the idea, who knows :)
True lol, who knows
@@HyruleGamer
XD
But they're a size of a thumb so it would hurt alot but it wouldn't kill them
If they return in BotW's sequel, I really hope they rework them to appear closer to their weird-yet-cute, alien-like, bird-elf-mouse-gnome designs used in TMC because I strongly dislike the design they almost went with.
Yes please!
Ok now ur onto something
Basically like the whips from Spirit Tracks and Skyward Sword. 😏 A whip in the world of BotW would definetly be an awesome idea. 👍😉
So kind of like the grapple feature from sekiro? Neat
Something like the sticky whip from skyward sword would be really cool if you could use it to disarm opponents with the charge attack like how you could steal keys with it in SS.
Maybe their divine beast could be the prototype hanging in the lab in hateno?
Maybe although the whale design doesn't seem to fit the Minish in any way. 🤔
I would've loved to see the minish in the final version of BOTW, for real. I'm playing The Minish Cap for the first time now, and I think it would be amazing if they had made into the final cut. Now I can only hope we might see them again. Nice video ❤❤
I hope the add it into BOTW 2 when that’s released :D
Who else loves how we are here, playing as link and get destroyed by lynels, and link before the calamity, as seen in the memories, only uses his master sword and can destroy 3 lynels and over 10 bokoblins.
Love it :)
Pre-Calamity Link was at TAS level of execution.
Link is both amnesiac, and also might not still be at full power as Zelda mentions when he fights Dark Beast Ganon
@@mf6484 I imagine that by the end of BotW he still hasn't recovered all of his memories as a knight so one could assume he hasn't remembered all of his combat training yet. Maybe we'll be able to learn new "swordmoves" as we play through BotW 2.
Maybe he will relearn the sword skills Link is famous for in the previous games? Helm-splitter, The Mortal Strike, ect
That is very possible :D
They grew feathers and became the Rito. Those that didnt change probably got eaten by the monsters who patrolled the deep ocean waters.
I'm fairly certain the fish that fill in your sea charts are Zora. Just my personal thought
Koroks are confirmed to be evolved form of the Kokiri. Both of them are lead by the Deku Tree.
The Zoras became Ritos due to the Great Flood after Ocarina of Time.
I recall recently realizing I had never gotten any rupees out of the grass in BotW, and then facing the horrifying prospect that the minish went extinct. You say you've found rupees in the grass? Hmm. Maybe they're still out there, somewhere... But Link can't see them.
Yaass, Picori love.
Yasss! :)
Maybe the Tech Lab's purpose was to research how to shrink people. And they use the telescope to see the Picori
True true :)
or the age shrinking thing was for more pepole to free there divine beast as only children can see them
What if the minnish divine beast was the tiny hummingbird device in the sheikah lab? It is too small to be a divine beast but for a minnish it would be perfect
Interesting :)
I hope we do see them in the sequel :D
YES - A Minish Cap video.
Yes, yes indeed :D
Isn’t there a mini divine beast hanging from the ceiling in Hateno Lab?
Yes there is :)
I didn't realize either
It's a whale. The minish have 2 tribes. One lives in the forest, the other one in the mountains. That wouldn't make sense for them to use a whale.
Alex The wind fish lived on top of a mountain ...
@@guestuser3192 Inside an egg in a dream world he created
@@EmpressAaliyah So true 😆 and they didn't even include fishing (which kind of saddens me, I love fishing mini games in games)
And I'd love it if seasons where a thing.
Legend of Zelda: The Crossing of Animals
I believe that the minish divine beast was the one hanging up in the tech lab in Hateno Village. Think about it. It's small, just the right size for a minish divine beast.
Could be :)
Indeed :)
Inside him!?
**shudders**
Did anyone else feel when they played BotW that although it was a big game, it only felt like the first part of a Zelda story? Similar to if they had released OoT but it finished when you pulled the master sword for the first time then you had to continue in OoT 2
I can't relate personally but I understand that :)
I'm happy they have a sequel all I want is to know when I can pre order it 😅
According to Aonuma originally they wished to continue the "story" of BotW with a DLC that would have elaborated upon Ganondorf's "predicament" as Calamity Ganon but because of the many ideas that had been piled up they instead decided to make a full out continuation of the first game so as to deliver a full narrative-driven explanation for Calamity's existence. Thus one could see BotW as being part 1 of the "Wild duology". 😀
There are 6 races in Hyrule “angry Korok noises.”
7:56 "An early design Rito"
That's- that's a Sheikah, my dude...
I wonder if you intentionally call him Ravioli rather than Revali, I'm certain it is intentional, but sometimes wonder!
Lol
I would love the Minish to be in Botw but it seems kinda odd that the Champion of the Minish would have an Ability that makes them smaller.. it makes sense that if link would get the ability that it would make him smaller but not so much if the actual Minish Champion uses it. just kinda seems odd to me
What if the minish champion could grow big. And it allows link to go either minish sized or giant sized.
@@kaiseremotion854 yeah that would work i think
Sounds cool :)
Mmmmm interesting, perhaps ideas changed multiple times :)
*Give my boy Vaati a chance to redeem himself in BotW 2 please I’m begging you*
Yesssssss please!
I believe the Minish would have been excellent in the role of the Korok Seed givers.
They were also planning for the kokiri as well so that would work
Could be the case :)
I like the tiny men/woman
Oh? :)
How dare u replay
Minish Cap was my favorite handheld Zelda title and it was unfortunate they didn't go ahead and include them in BotW. I wish they'd include them in the next game. They are so important to the worlds lore, they should reappear and play a role in the next one.
I would love to see them back :)
The bigger question:
Would Vaati have made a return with the Picori? I really want to see him in 3d. A big demonic eyeball with wings and claws would be terrifying in 3d.
I'm ok with how they went with things. At least in comparison to removing one of the major races and swapping them out with the Minish. If they manage to bring them into the sequel that's perfectly fine. And I'm sure they can do something good with them. Could certainly have been interesting to have them there on top of what we already got with an extra champion and maybe even a miniature divine beast to check out.
Yeah interesting :)
It’s impossible to make a pikori champion amiibo figure, it’s too small, so no merchandise, that’s why they got scrapped
You dont need to make the amiibo smaller lol
The minish are there, Link's just too old to see them
He is like 17 isn't he?
@@HyruleGamer technically 117 :P
He could still see them though given that he's the Legendary Hero. 😉

I know it sounds off topic but have you ever talked about the zonai owl throne east of the Rassla lake on one of the plateaus in the faron region?
I will have to go check that out :)
Hyrule Gamer I can’t seem to find any boar statues or dragon statues similar to the owl one with the throne though
ok i hate Rivali as well
but calling him ravioli? really
Really what
I'd like to see a video on how the creators of majoras mask could have been the zonai... I know it's off base here but I've recently discovered swirls on the recess that houses the mask before the final battle ensues. We know it was created by an ancient tribe. Could the zonai have gone back as far as before oot or even further. Also why are they helping the sheikah if they have a more darker chaotic background
Well they are there still.
But not able to be seen
Since they still out stuff under grass and such
I did say that lol
Maybe the picoris divine beast was the miniature one found I think in purahs House? Or whoever the 6 year old scientist is lol.
