We cannot expect lyles to create the same shapes as Coleman. Lyles legs are long, to be able to switch and extend from a high position to produce force requires time. Therefore, his initial movements including knee differential will always be slightly sub-optimal. He looks lower than cristian because he would lose time with higher hips at the start. Lyles’ body is designed for top speed and it shows.
@@absthecoach yes but as he has been working his start he has been able to make the adjustments to get quicker knee switches and better hip position sooner which is why he has a much more elite start and therefore competed for 60m worlds and will probably be a top 3 finisher in the 100m in the Olympics.. So it’s the chase for perfection that is the motivation to get up and give it your 💯💯💯 🙏💪🏻
How would you work on closing the gap between the knees on foot contact? Is the foot contact too far forward or is it the time to get the recovery leg back in front that is too long?
@@Nubako463 Bolt actually split 7.11s at 70m. I was telling @Performance lab of California that the figure mentioned in the video could be about that spilt time at 70m, but can't remember exactly what was mentioned in the video. He may very well be right and the reference might be related to the number of steps up to the 10m mark.
Cj stroud mechanics pls

Yeah it’s the recovery time of the back foot. More effective push off of the back foot as well as knee drive through toe off of that back leg.
7.3s means split time at 70m if I understood and remember correctly.
Bolt did 7.14
