Hello Isabella. I don't know how to solve the issue. Actually, you got me thinking about removing mine to avoid the risk of having one of my doors locked.
what material are they made from? Are they cast aluminum? This video is excellent! It is clear and provides the information necessary to install this security lock.
Only one problem with this lock. It only works when you are home. You cannot lock or unlock it from outside. It’s worthless in my opinion. I’m never worried about my doors when I am home. Only when I am gone.
The purpose of this lock is to add extra security specially when you have children who may have a habit of opening a door when someone knocks. Even if they can unlock the regular lock they wont be able to open the door for a stranger.
as a parent of a special needs preschooler, this is perfect with being worried about them undoing the standard door locks and trying to leave the home unattended.
Great video, just installed my first of 2, very easy!
Awesome!!!
Any ideas on how to troubleshoot a malfunction? The inner coil broke and the lock will not open up? My door is locked in

Thank you for your comment. I really haven't put my lock under any mechanical stress. I hope it holds if that ever happens.
