- 2021 Episode 6
So as i mentioned in my last Video i‘ve spotted this watch while hunting but i saw chances were slim to get it out since the water was still very cold and there was no telling how long the waterlevel would staythis low. It coul‘ve rise any day due to snow melting in the mountains or rainy days. Since it didn‘t worked out with the magnet at my first attempt and rain was announced i decided to dive and try to get it out even tho the water was still very cold.
First day of trying didn‘t worked out and i ran out of GoPro battery.. so me and my friend got back the very next day to try again! After a couple tryes i finally got it out!!! 3day‘s of trying payd out.
As mentioned in the end of the video it sadly turned out to be a fake rolex.. again... i found 4 rolex since i started 2013 but all were fake watches.. the last two at least turned out to be high end fakes... i‘m getting closer 😉 someday i‘ll find a real one 🙏🏻

A Rolex would likely not stick to your magnet. They use a minimally magnetic 904 stainless steel.
Both 904L and 316L are non-magnetic austenitic steels, with high corrosion resistance and good machining and polishing performance. As we all know, they can be considered as substitutes for each other in some cases
Real ones go down to 4000m and don’t get water in them!
That’s the funny thing😂😂
They also aren’t magnetic stainless steel is antimagnetic and that’s why watches use stainless
A million things can go wrong. Cracked crystal, pinched O rings, hell even just some schmuck who forgot to screw down the crown before swimming.
We have no idea how it ended up in the bottom of that creek, but we will rule out every explanation for the resistance not working? Hell, it could have been on a body that got dumped out there, watch all beat to shit buy the killer.
I mean, it could be a fake too. But I see no evidence that would cause me to jump to a singular conclusion like that.
Well if the gaskets eroded from being in water for so long then water could get in. Also if the crown was open same thing.
@@mitchellbell5354 But understand, no gasket ever invented will hold water out forever. Water, if given time, cuts through rocks.
And yeah, if the crown was open...that's game over even sooner.
OR...the watch could just be a fake, haha. I am only saying that we need more information.
I don’t think you’ll find a real one, a guy like me loses my Rollie I’m diving head first no gear for it 🤣
I could tell that was fake just by looking at it. This watch seemed planted there.
How can you tell this watch was a fake just by looking at it.......Please illuminate me with your wisdom.
@@mariobertora First of all, it's still done up, if it had fallen off, it would be missing a spring bar or some other strap malfunction would be seen. Secondly,
there's water inside the case...in what...3m of fresh water....and last but not least.... the HE valve should be a darker colour metal as we all know and besides,
who would leave a 15k plus rolex in under 3m of water !!!!.
You are thus illuminated!
Plus it would be magnetic
@@mariobertora Déjà elle n'est pas étanche, après la lunette à les chiffres blancs, ils sont gris métal sur une vraie montre !!!!😁😁
@@mariobertorathe Rolex Sea Dweller has a depth rating of nearly 4000 meters, if this one has got water under the crystal, it’s probably fake.
Hi Dave. Leigh "The Bondi Treasure Hunter" sent me to check out your chanel. I watched you treasure hunt with him a few times. New Subscriber.
Fake watch, fake video. The watch was definitely not there just by chance. Yeah as if a watch with a safety clasp would just fall off someone’s wrist.
I feel its real with a after market band deffo worth opening it up
The one Datejust is a real one !!!!!!!
Both 904L and 316L are non-magnetic austenitic steels, with high corrosion resistance and good machining and polishing performance. As we all know, they can be considered as substitutes for each other in some cases
How does someone loose any watch? They’re locked in your wrist. Virtually impossible to fall off.
It’s made of stainless steel. Specifically non-magnetic stainless steel 😂
A magnet detects metals that include not magnetic metals.🤣
Great video, wish it was it was real for you. Still nice looking watch.
Thanks 👌🏻 yeah i still wear it sometimes. It does its job 👍🏻😅
A watch that is able to go 4000 odd M down... Gets filled water filled dial in 2ft of water 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
If everyone keeps tossing them in them maybe the lake is not a good place to be looking for a watch LOL
Joined your channel today. Leigh spoke highly of you. Cheers mate! 👍🙂
Thanks and welcome
Hi Dave. Dirtfishmish recomended your chanel and she was right to do so. Because you now have a new subbscriber 👍 Have you had many referals from Mish ?
A watch meant to go to 3,000m would not leak and fog up in 10' of river water... obvious giveaway there.
That's why I won't spent $400 on a highend fake Rolex. They're not even waterproof in one meter depth :-D
The stupidity shown in your comment proves you’ll never be able to afford a Rolex :-D
If it is real, its been reported, no doubt. The second that goes to Rolex, will be reposessed. But still people lose watches on trips all the time and you are bound to come across a genuine.
Better luck next time and you never know!
because it's fake, no one throws a real rolex away.
even broke the watch holds great value
Nice try dude 😂
NEVER NEVER EVER EVER JUDGE IF A ROLEX IS REAL BECAUSE OF THE BANDS!! THEY MAKE AFTER MARKET BRACELETS!! JUST FYI FOR ANYBODY READING…
What about the fact that it didn't hold up to such shallow water 🤔
@@Cisco13 well yeah of course , was just pointing out to never judge one on the bands alone, because every Rolex I had (used) had after market bands…
@@Cisco13 And any watch sitting under water 💦 for an extended period of time will most likely get water in it shallow or not
Have a read about the Citizen Challenge diver found on Long Reef Beach in 1983. Underwater for roughly 5 years or so@@jackwilson2910

A stainless steel watch will not stick to your magnate.
It is a stainless steel..magnet won't take it
It's foggy
All you had to do is get a bag and fill with rocks to dive better lol 😂
Save up and buy one like everybody else.
Hi Dave, where are you from?
Dm me on Insragram 😉
Replica! Throw it back !
😑😐😑😦🥱🥱😴
Sorry to break it to you bud ..not even “a high end “ replica , high end replicas would not stick to your magnet 🧲 not to mention the genuine , the genuine would of looked like new even if under water for 1 year
Sorry to say man that’s a fake.
Give me please fake rolex
Yes no one can believe it. It’s clearly fake.😂😂😂
Yeah if water got in there it’s not real duh
Good call....using a magnet on a watch👎🏻
Dude, that’s a replica watch, a real watch would not fog up or leak water
Exactly
Sea dweller with water inside ??? Dunno if it’s real bro
lmao
He doesn’t know the name of the most popular and sought after chronograph in the world? Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Whatever dude.
and he's a diver haha
Next time tape the damn magnet to your hand! You would have gotten it a lot quicker.
This is a river od theives. They toss away fake watches they stole.
Awesome effort I’m a watch geek and have a Rolex deep Sea James Cameron let me promise you that this watch could hit the bottom of the ocean and never get water inside of it better 1000% fake and I could even hear it in the class when you open it Sorry that best of luck.
Fake video like the watch
The Rolex badges on strap and side look blobby. Fake
Fake watch, fake video.
Who would ever toss out a real Rolex lol be normal kid
To claim insurance money….
Rolex thought u were too noob at diving
False 100%
