The counterfeit bill is ridiculous. It is one sided, unfinished, and no one would mistake it as legal tender. It should not be illegal to own.
My thoughts as well. No one would mistake that for currency if they see the side full of signatures.
It's legal to own, and there is no way you could mistake it for it's dollar amount, besides it's far more valuable for the signatures on the blank side.
There collectable how can they be illegal? Especially since it was signed by CIA agents🤦
@@Allegheny500 Sadly, they are not legal to own. Counterfeit currency, regardless of how collectible, obvious, or damaged it appears is not legal to own in the least. Simply by owning it you are committing a federal offense. Obviously if you just find out about it and turn it in, you won't be arrested, but if you know of it and keep it, that's a problem. Bank tellers are instructed to confiscate and turn over any item that matches these conditions that they come across to the FBI. I think this guy said Secret Service because it was likely evidence from a criminal investigation with all those big names written on it.
@@BancheisSecret Service does counterfeit investigations not FBI. You’ll likely be sent to FBI offices as Secret Service has few offices
Did I miss the illegal painting?
Thx !
me too...the Picasso..scammed
It's not illegal to own a counterfeit bill or coin it's only illegal to use a counterfeit to defraud an institution with the bill.
He couldn't sell it to make money back
It would be illegal to sell though.
You can't sell them
@@dawn5227 completely legal to sell as a counterfeit bill. It's classified as Art
@@ScootsMcPoot you can sell them as counterfeit bills.
my dad worked at a antique shop years ago and he got one of those desk in. the ink desk was not a gun it was a prank novelty item. it was meant to be loaded with a .22 blank that you would set it up like a guest signup station and when someone would go to ink the pen the blank would go off scaring the person. i guess you could put a real .22 in it but that was not its intended purpose.
that sounds like a lawsuit just waiting to happen. Scare the person bad enough, bam heart attack
Strangely enough that document about the atomic bomb would be worth more now after the Oppenheimer movie.
That's usually the way it happens. Oppenheimer was a fabulous movie!
The first one should be fine if it's kept in a home. As far as I know, there's no US state law that says you can't conceal a legally owned firearm on your property. And as for selling it, just keep the trap-door open and have it clearly marked as a firearm and it won't count as a concealed weapon in the shop. That one was a real nothing-burger of a problem.
Just don't get pulled over by a cop who's an antiquing enthusiast. 😂
I agree! Who carries a cancelled desk while walking out in public?
Well not illegal to conceal what could make it illegal is if it goes off as a booby trap so to speak. But jsut having it in your home unloaded and on display should be fine
It makes me wonder if the desk was owned by a Mafia Boss.
You’re being FAR too logical for a matter of law. Courts loooooove convicting people for these no victim, no harm “crimes.”
I had a customer come in and try to pay their insurance payment with 5 counterfeit bills. The 6th bill was real and was the bill they used to make the 5 counterfeit bills, called the police, they came, they saw, they didn't care!! They gave the bills back to the customer and told them to have a nice day!!
My direct ancestor 'Solomon "moneymakin Sol' Mullins was a counterfeiter back in the 1700's. He was caught once and after showing the judge a bag of silver coins he had made, the Judge let him go as the silver he used was more valuable than the government's coins.
Idk if that's a true story but the name made me giggle😂😂😂😂
There's an old western show about that.
That's actually a cool story
It's not illegal to own a counterfeit bill or literally every victim of the counterfeitter would be breaking the law the minute they get scammed by one of those bills. Come on, now.
Its illegal to own one intentionally.
I believe it's legal to own and even sell counterfeit money as long as it's not being off as real currency. But what would be the reason except as a novelty.
where is the 35 million thing
None of these things are actually illegal.
I went to Mexico when I was little and bought a turtle guitar didn't even think it was real and they took it at the border.
Its absolutely legal to own a counterfeit bill tho
Concealed desk gun: It is a low caliber, but certain guns were designed to use poisoned ammo, so it's an object for assassination possibly, or like they said a possible movie prop.
That last guy wasn't wrong. $1,500 doesn't go nearly as far as it used to.
trip to the grocery store now a days....thanks Biden!
#Bidenomics
There is a scene in the movie "The Firm "Where Gary Busey plays a detective with a .45 hidden in his desk. If you are going to hide a gun might as well make sure it has some real fire power.
Thank you for going to the point on every story!👍🏽 not making it longer than needed.
Negotiation war? Seriously? Rick literally said “I’ll give you $1500”, customer says “I’ll keep them”. That’s quite a negotiation. What kind of shit have you been talked into during your lifetime?
The desk does give off movie prop looks.
i purchased the Cooke military presidential autographs, never saw this episode. The boys didn't make money on those :)
Technically that’s not a counterfeit.
Error bill?
expert: it's illegal to own a counterfeit bill
me: spots Monopoly game in a stack in the closet...
Rick: How much do you want for this?
Customer: I have no idea.
Rick: I'll give you $1000..
Customer: Would yo go $2000?
LOL. I guess he got an idea.
I also love people who admit they paid only $5 for something at a yard sale and then want to fight Rick on a bid.
Lindbergh was notorious for disgusting practical jokes and almost killing people, I read. He might have accidently killed the boy (hiding it from his mother as a joke for the umpteenth time) and framed the elderly man for it. 2 modern detectives studied the case and many things I don't have time to list here were considered...interesting but sad.
Apparently, one of these missiles struck a MiG17 in Vietnam and failed to detonate. The pilot landed, and the Russians took the missile and back engineered it.
My dad sold something to somebody, and later grew suspicious of the money. He called the police, and after examining the bills, offered him pennies on a dollar for the bills. This was their way of telling him they thought the bills were legitimate. 🤪🤪🤪
As a true crime fan, AND
fan of Agatha Christie*s Hercule Poirot,
I would LOVE to have the Lindbergh case documents! 😍
"you're looking at new car money, over $2,000" gets 1,600... what kinda new car that dude buying?
He said "car money" not "new car money".
Unless you’re buying from someone off the street I wouldn’t expect much
In 1972, you could buy a brand new US built compact station wagon for just over $2000. That would be just under $15000 in today's money.
@@boydgrandy5769 too bad it's not 1972 or 15k
I don't think anyone working with atomic bombs can be called a gentleman
The desk is for jerks who didn't make a reservation...
"Payroll Desk"
Should be okay with the turtle shell guitar, looks to be no strings attached.
Only if the owner said that.
Oh you were just wiggling to get that one in. P.U. 😏👍👀✅
Take your like and think about what you’ve done
I have old comics and comic related things from garage sales. Things signed by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. I have them all well stored and maybe one day ill be on this show hoping to cash in.
Fun fact and the show Saud this in an episode, Stan Lee signed so much stuff his signature actually drop the price of the item.
I think that's funny because in a business. If you receive a counterfeit bill and they detected they give it back to you some more checking on that.
3:48 these should go to a museum
6:41 that’s rare.
It's not a tortoise shell it's a sea turtle!!!!!!
I was an AO (aviation ordnance) and that is a real heat seeker
Authentication expert: Rick its worth 20,000 dollars.
Rick: Okay. (To Customer) Will you take 500 bucks for it?
0:43 i want that desk gun
It's not a "gun", it's a hole puncher.
Gun desks are from the old poker games. If you were cheating you got shot
the negotiations here are the most civil ive seen so far in america
Literally none of these are illegal to own lol
Thinking outside the box here.. if you put a chair in front of that table gun.. it would work just fine. :)
Secret Service?? Everybody knows they exist!! 🤪🤪🤪
Invention Idea- Gun typewriter for writers on a deadline.
Rick always tries to under pay for items. I wouldn't go to him.
Just one comment - of course Rick wants to under pay for an anything - he owns a business and if he didn’t under pay, he would be out of business quick! Do you realize that absolutely everything we purchase in our lives didn’t cost anyway near what we are paying for it? Not a single company would be able to stay in business if they didn’t get more than they paid for any item! Only rarely anymore do grocery stores have what was called loss leaders to get people into the store to purchase this be,ow cost items and then purchase many other items that they sold for more than the company paid? Guess you have never we been to a pawn shop anywhere!!!
Its not agest the law to own a counterfeit bill its just agest the law to try and youse it
Brother ,we heard the word pentagon next to documents ,everyone turned pale XD
I want the turtle guitar!!!😮
People think its also legal to be a sovereign citizen lol
This video just goes to show how free we are NOT!!!🤬
nothings illegal till ya get got
Two thousands of years later the solution trails the problem by decades.
Pawn Stars always on the lookout to screw you.
The key looks like one from my grandma's wardrobe
Was her key made of titanium like this one? Big difference!
@@sandybruce9092 small detail:)
I liked the granade
None of this is illegal
dude on 3:22 saw what kind of bs trouble if he still has this
17:57, Allow me to introduce a rare individual, and he chose wisely.
The heat seeker head might have been cutting edge, 80 years ago, today it would be worthless for its technology. The Russian launch key can be picked up online, they aren’t common but certainly not rare.
Pentagon files sold on a yard sale?
Don't want nothing to do with the Manhattan Project. I lived and worked by the first nuclear waste dump in St. Louis. Mallinckrodt refined it and they dumped it up by the airport. Two years ago, they finally closed a school along Coldwater Creek for high rad levels. And I worked at the property between the dump site and that creek. It has flooded almost every spring since in was dumped.
Also, "concealed" weapons, where concealing is illegal, are generally ok as long as they are not loaded and within range of use and in public only. Many states say you have to "secure" the weapon, but that doesnt mean lock it up.. it just has to be in a container. The idea is to just make it slightly more difficult to use (its silly) You having a gun in your trunk isnt a violation of a "concealed weapon" statute. It may be illegal to transport, but thats a different law. Of course, all this varies and depends on what you believe the completely contradictory government says about it all. :)
What entertainment,…Who in their right mind would take anything rare and expensive to a F-ing pawn shop ???
12:28 WTF 😡
I bet this could be re-rigged up to shoot fireworks 😅😊
Wtf are these weird ass screen crops and untimely cuts?😩
thing i notice is he TANKS the price by mellenias when the customer wants a certain ammount, dang
never take your stuff to a pawn shop to have it appraised
Who cares a conceal desk with them in public? 🤣
probably someone in Flordia would
your aloud to own all of these. just aint aloud to use them
Interesting
Rip Old Man
2👍, wow nice info im here again 🎉
Not counterfeit if it's one sided
@11:30 An undisclosed location
Met Rick last week really weird guy doesn’t talk to u, got to 3rd party talk to h even though he was right infront of me, and he has hearing problem
Ivory got so complicated that they just made it illegal to own and sell and yet you still find people selling and buying it and when you tell them they get very angry at you
The sale of ivory is only illegal if it is new. Older/antique pieces are legal to own and sell.
Rebecca is authenticating signatures and non-book items? whats up with that?
This is bs, he can legally own this bill because it's not two sided.. very simple 😅😅😅
No ya Legal
All his friends are getting a cut for their advise. Oh well Nope stop this $500 BS.
i think J Cole lost out because he back out could never say hes the top rapper of this time
RIP
I always hated the constant lowballing in this show.
From a business standpoint, they have to make money, and most people buying stuff from them (after they buy it) aren't going to pay what it's worth, so they have to leave some haggle room, or it'll sit on a shelf, and if he has to sell it at auction, there's fees and percentages that come out of what it sells for, so it's a necessary evil 🤷
🤓🚀
gun desk would kill a person from shock.
More scripted bs.
Is there ANYTHING Rick DOES’NT know ???
Rick is like Batman, he knows everything with preparation
It’s illegal to snake weed you don’t see that stopping me I’ll buy any item
This guy is the biggest rip off he rips people off
As someone who lived in Las Vegas, I have to disagree. Pawnshops HAVE to make a profit on items and can't pay what they're going to sell an item for, because that's no way to run a business, but.. he went above and beyond when I had to sell a video game system and a stack of games I had. Gave me enough money to get out of Vegas and start a new life there.
They all do. That's what pawn shop do - they buy as cheap as they can and resell for a much as they can. They will tell you anything to get you to take the lowball offer. These guys just lie in TV.
And his son is an idiot. Thinks a .22 bullet wont do anything if you’re shot in the bottom half or your body. Probably cause he hasn’t seen his in a while even after the weight loss 😂.
Don’t think anyone is forced to sell to Pawnstars.
Hardcore Pawn Def does too
These people are freakin stupid, A lot of this stuff you could get a lot more for it if you sell it to the right person. Sometimes its best to wait could make you thousands of more. Considering Pawn shops are buying your things and selling them for 10x more.
A desk gun is a "trap gun" , "dangerous AND unusual" weapons are unlawful.
I believe you can only shoot skeet with a desk gun.
Did those documents come from Bidens garage?
10 thumbs downs if i could
you just need 4 more people
fool hes going sell that stuff for 1000s
