I just now bent that bracket downward a little with a metal bar (tube) from an old house flag pole section and a hard rubber hammer. Hit it a few times, no start. Hit the bracket downward again a few times a little harder, car starts. I shut the car off and started it again. Metal bar and hammer now on the back seat just in case. Thanks for this very helpful tip! A real fix will take place when Spring arrives.
Do not hit any piece for lever shifter. Do not try to bend, push in, or otherwise hit any part of the shifter line not bend that bracket that holds the line. Use PBlaster to loosen up all joints to articulate line properly.

I v removed the old neutral switch. The shifter linkage is short to connect in park..

I’ll just change out the switch, or leave it how it is so it can’t get stolen lol. If it only starts in neutral 97% the time it’s a bad switch
