Lyrics:
Still searching for your call, today
Sit down, and structure will you be the engineer?
Still tired and dreaming out again and overboard
When pain kills you'll hate me and wait for, or
Then call me crazy
And pretend I left us discontent and afraid
So what, so I'm crazy, yeah
Then send me justice and I'll have Paris in flames
Still searching for your faith
In the arm that killed the president
Relapse, waiting here for
Still searching for your face
In the crowd that killed the president
Relapse, waiting here for
I need Mayo! (I won't fail you now)
Dear Captain, send the S.O.S
When we're gonna go down
I need Mayo! (I won't fail you now)
(We're going down and you're all fucked up, for sure!)
Dear Captain, send the S.O.S
When we're gonna go down
Wound open and squeezing my heart against
This pain inflicts and, in passion, I bleed for it
But with this what they gave me, yeah
This book and flint and a match to go with it
Still searching for your face
In the arm that killed the president
Relapse, waiting here for
Still searching for your face
In the crowd that buried New Mexico
I'll be waiting here for
I need Mayo! (I won't fail you now)
Dear Captain, send the S.O.S
When we're gonna go down
I need Mayo! (I won't fail you now)
(We're going down and you're all fucked up for sure!)
Dear Captain, send the S.O.S
When we're gonna go down
(Have you ever heard the lyrics he sang?)
In his thoughtful transmission, the words lost sentence remain
(Sing his song, sing his song loud!)
Structure, will you be the engineer?
(Where's your song, or have you lost the key or tone?)
Thank God for your strength, no
Will you hold your breath, waiting for me to exhale
In the short life lived?
Thank God for your strength, no
Will you hold your breath, waiting for me to exhale
In the short life lived?

One of the sickest intros ever. My little brother used to say “Play that song with the pterodactyl scream.” 😂
Mastodon - Megalodon live 2007
Listen to any metalcore song, they all say hello
Why does the intro go SO hard! Can’t stop listening to this album.
Because it is the s.o.s
Sounds like 95 incubus
Waiter returns: "Anything else sir"
Claudio:........ " I need mayoooooo"
Dude i cant breathe lmao
Im dying dude whyy
@@karamel620 bahahaha
@@oneleapforward903 im so lucky these are the last three days of my eigth grade year or id be in so much trouble because of this lmaoo
I can't unhear this now. Love it!
This album is part of my DNA
The beginning of this song is awsome
As a teenager, I made the intro my voice-mail message. I can't think of anything more 2004
That's the coolest thing I've heard all day. I vote to bring that back.
Love this song!!!! Sharing it with my friends on discord
It’s one of their most epic songs for sure
I remember when people shared this song on their myspace
Its such a sick song
I remember coding this song in my Xanga
Their best album IMO, gets the blood flowing.
This has been a favorite for so so long now
Coheed SST & IKS should be re-mixed & re-released! A lot of the melody in this mix is unheard unless you REALLY listen
Wholeheartedly agree. Travis’s lead guitar during the chorus in 33. That riff would’ve made the chorus much more powerful, and you can only hear it in the final closing seconds of the song.
Thats why they're so great. Every time you listen to them you find another part of the song you haven't ever heard
Amazing how that works.
No. In keeping secrets is a masterpiece the way it is and second stage the same .
@@elgusto8874 I hear it. Get better headphones
Absolute banger. Wish I could hear this live in concert some day!
To me this is by far their best album. I was fortunate enough to see them right after this came out. It was at the Main Street Bar and Grill in Harrisonburg,Va. They played the album close to its entirety. What a great memory.
The afterman albums for me
Definitely. The fucking basslines in this song are badass. Especially starting from 3:35 to the end of the song
It is 100% their best album to me too. The only one I listen to really, and it’s in my top ten easy. Such a fantastic album cover to cover. This is the best song to me out of the ten, but sometimes 33 is my favorite. Either way I absolutely adore the whole album.
Literally one of the best concerts I've ever been too was sstb
@@EternalWithin Zach is great, but goddammit I miss Mic Todd.
The scream at the beginning of this song gives me a reason to live. I want to learn how to make that noise so bad.
This is by far the cutest comment yet! 😄😂🤙❤️
You could ask Mic Todd but I'm pretty sure he's in jail.
@@michaelm4464I thought Travis is the one who screamed at the beginning
@@shamsielshahar120 nope. Definitely Mic Todd. Watch some live performances of this song and you'll see.
@@michaelm4464why?
Aight this song needs more views, imma share😂😂👌
Most of those are from me lol
Hell, even before this re-release it wasn't as popular.
Claudio needs mayo
Dirty
Mayo up that dome
Masterpiece
My fav band of all time, changed me in my early years... those were good days
Love at first heard!
this song is so underrated!
I remember seeing them on tour with Alice in chains and Jane's Addiction back in 2013 and I didn't have an appreciation for them yet because I wasn't into their music. Now I'm re-listening to one of my favorite albums. Happy I stayed for the show so I can say I saw them ^_^
This might be their best intro ever. So damn cool
RAWRWRWRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
It's very 311ish
It's a tie with In keeping secrets, for me.
That Intro! Still a Go to!
Happy birthday SSTB!
there are few albums that will make you feel the way the this one does
Still searching for your call today 😞
Also I always wanted to do a parody cover of this song and everything is normal the whole time except during the chorus I just flash a dry turkey sandwich at the camera while I say “I need Mayo!” I dunno. Thinking out loud here.
Might be on the right track there. Probably where Claudio got the idea from. He needed mayo so he made a character named Mayo.
The end of this song is wild
WAITING
FOR ME TO EXHALE-
those 1st 25 seconds is easily the best part of the entire album
Best punk song ever written.
By a prog band no less
Nah man
X 1:52 ,
Is it just me or does Coheed and Cambria lyrics makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. It’s just random words in sentences, no??
Yeah a lot of their early lyrics (Especially on this album) sound like a lotta mumbo jumbo. But I think Claudio just wanted to write "Cool and Mysterious lyrics" and I think he succeeded. They may not make a lotta sense at face value but I think they evoke the emotions they should and it gets you to wonder "what the hell does that mean?" I think its pretty easy to put your own meaning to the lyrics and draw your own conclusions beyond the comics
They're based on the Armory Wars. A series of comics (and novels) written by Claudio Sanchez but the comics don't show everything thus why there's a lot of lines that seem random.
Just read Amory Wars/Bag.On.Line and they'll make perfect sense
@@CodyTheGuitarist Its actually mostly quotes and lines from his comic series "The Armory Wars" its actually really cool once you understand what he is talking about, I recommend searching up the lyric meaning on Genius or reading the comics, super good story.
Who’s here after the trump incident??
