This was my best friend's favorite coheed song. We seen coheed at the Coca-Cola Roxy in 2019 and it was the best show I'll ever go to. Rest in peace brother ❤
Wholeheartedly agree. Travis’s lead guitar during the chorus in 33. That riff would’ve made the chorus much more powerful, and you can only hear it in the final closing seconds of the song.
I remember seeing them on tour with Alice in chains and Jane's Addiction back in 2013 and I didn't have an appreciation for them yet because I wasn't into their music. Now I'm re-listening to one of my favorite albums. Happy I stayed for the show so I can say I saw them ^_^
Still searching for your call today 😞 Also I always wanted to do a parody cover of this song and everything is normal the whole time except during the chorus I just flash a dry turkey sandwich at the camera while I say “I need Mayo!” I dunno. Thinking out loud here.
Yeah a lot of their early lyrics (Especially on this album) sound like a lotta mumbo jumbo. But I think Claudio just wanted to write "Cool and Mysterious lyrics" and I think he succeeded. They may not make a lotta sense at face value but I think they evoke the emotions they should and it gets you to wonder "what the hell does that mean?" I think its pretty easy to put your own meaning to the lyrics and draw your own conclusions beyond the comics
They're based on the Armory Wars. A series of comics (and novels) written by Claudio Sanchez but the comics don't show everything thus why there's a lot of lines that seem random.
@@CodyTheGuitarist Its actually mostly quotes and lines from his comic series "The Armory Wars" its actually really cool once you understand what he is talking about, I recommend searching up the lyric meaning on Genius or reading the comics, super good story.
One of the sickest intros ever. My little brother used to say “Play that song with the pterodactyl scream.” 😂
Mastodon - Megalodon live 2007
Listen to any metalcore song, they all say hello
Epic winning lol XD
Why does the intro go SO hard! Can’t stop listening to this album.
Because it is the s.o.s
Sounds like 95 incubus
The first 4 albums hit hardest in my opinion. Although I haven't gave anything after year of the black rainbow an honest listen...

This album is part of my DNA
The beginning of this song is awsome
This has been a favorite for so so long now
As a teenager, I made the intro my voice-mail message. I can't think of anything more 2004
That's the coolest thing I've heard all day. I vote to bring that back.
omg that IS so 2004!!! i was 19 haha
Coheed SST & IKS should be re-mixed & re-released! A lot of the melody in this mix is unheard unless you REALLY listen

Thats why they're so great. Every time you listen to them you find another part of the song you haven't ever heard
Amazing how that works.
No. In keeping secrets is a masterpiece the way it is and second stage the same .
@@elgusto8874 I hear it. Get better headphones
The scream at the beginning of this song gives me a reason to live. I want to learn how to make that noise so bad.
This is by far the cutest comment yet! 😄😂🤙❤️
You could ask Mic Todd but I'm pretty sure he's in jail.
@@michaelm4464I thought Travis is the one who screamed at the beginning
@@shamsielshahar120 nope. Definitely Mic Todd. Watch some live performances of this song and you'll see.
@@michaelm4464why?
Love this song!!!! Sharing it with my friends on discord
It’s one of their most epic songs for sure
I remember when people shared this song on their myspace
Its such a sick song
I remember coding this song in my Xanga
Mic Todd was an absolute genius on this album.
Their best album IMO, gets the blood flowing.
My fav band of all time, changed me in my early years... those were good days
Masterpiece
Absolute banger. Wish I could hear this live in concert some day!

Love at first heard!
Aight this song needs more views, imma share😂😂👌
Most of those are from me lol
Hell, even before this re-release it wasn't as popular.
This might be their best intro ever. So damn cool
RAWRWRWRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
It's very 311ish
It's a tie with In keeping secrets, for me.
Claudio needs mayo
Dirty
Mayo up that dome
this song is so underrated!
That Intro! Still a Go to!
Happy birthday SSTB!
there are few albums that will make you feel the way the this one does
That yell get your demons out trust me I wish I could yell like that
The end of this song is wild

Might be on the right track there. Probably where Claudio got the idea from. He needed mayo so he made a character named Mayo.
those 1st 25 seconds is easily the best part of the entire album

Best punk song ever written.
By a prog band no less
Nah man

Is it just me or does Coheed and Cambria lyrics makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. It’s just random words in sentences, no??
