    Hey Greg! :-) Is it fairly easy for a foriegn person to get student funding in order to attend the university from the Korean government or does one need to fund the courses themselves?

    • @VisuallyGreg
      @VisuallyGreg  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Kasumi DeeJaY if it’s just the language program then you have to find it yourself but if it’s for a degree then they have scholarships for that. Or if you parent or someone related to you is in faculty then you go can get a discount too. Also the government here does offer the free KIIP classes so that may also be why

Im applying this year and I wanna study Korean Language and Literature, but I am so scared that they could reject me because I am not korean, do you think it is a possibility or they would like to have foreigners wanting to learn and spread their culture? idk I`m just so nervous lol

    • @VisuallyGreg
      @VisuallyGreg  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      amanda hoepers you can totally get in. I think you only need to graduate from high school to go to the language school and then after you can transfer to regular classes or just take the program that helps connects you to a main major afterwards. You’ll be fine really as long as you have enough money to last you 6 months because you can’t work for that amount of time. Good luck ^_^

    This place is huge compared to my art university. Granted mine's located in the middle of downtown so space is limited.
    However, this campus is on par with University of Toronto's Mississauga campus. xD.

    Hello! Thank you for this vlog - that language program sounds very interesting! I just had a quick look at the Sogang website and language center admission requirements... however, I didn't read anything about an age limit. Do you know if there is one? As in "only students up to ages 30 or 35", maybe?

    • @VisuallyGreg
      @VisuallyGreg  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually don’t think there is an age limit. I’ve seen people of all ages so I think any age is ok. And as long as you pass high school you can enter. Just got to have enough money for your classes ^_^

    Hi ! I'm actually searching for universities to go in south korea for an exchange program, and there is something Im worried about : meeting people. Where did you let your friends? And do they have clubs? Are you in one of them ? Have a good day~

    • @VisuallyGreg
      @VisuallyGreg  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Morgane generally if you go to an exchange problem you’ll meet tons of people from other countries but not people of that home country. To meet people native to the country, you have to actually know the language and enroll into regular classes and that still depends on them wanting to interact with you unfortunately. There are clubs but most you need a specific level of language to join. I met the few friends I had that were korean through the meetup app but that too depends on the people and our relationship is a friend relationship and not I’m using you for language relationship so it’s really good. So no matter where you go abroad everything first depends on your language ability and then the people wanting to interact with you and most of the time you have to break out of your shell if you are shy, to meet new people! ^_^ you got this! Just stay positive and if things aren’t going the way you hope it’s best to just leave it be and move on to the next.
