    Hi Rachel! I'm so overwhelmed with research trying to know where I fit best.
    I'm currently 21 yo looking to start my studies in Canada next year on September 2022 Fall Intake.
    Initially, I plan on taking a 4-year Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design for Marketing in Kwantlen Polytechnic University but I saw the Digital Design & Development 2-Year Diploma Program in BCIT and I found it more broad meaning giving me a wider prospect on what job I can take after graduating (because it has web dev/design courses apart from actual graphic design and illustration).
    I really want to end up working in the same field as to what I studied. For graphic design in general, do you think getting a Bachelor's Degree is better than getting a Diploma? And will it help me land a better job and higher CRS points?

    • @rrdancel
      @rrdancel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Billy, it is possible to study in Canada at that age, as early 30s is still within university age. However, there are several factors involved that will determine if this pathway is best for you. 👍😊

    Hi Rachel. Thanks for this video. I have a question if you don't mind answering since you touched on the topic of finances. You did say that you applied as an international student right after you graduated from college so I assume that you did not even work after college and saved money so you can finance your study in Canada. So how did you convince the immigration officer to grant you a student visa if you haven't worked at all? Did your parents financed your tuition and showed proof to the immigration officer that they can afford it? Thanks, I really appreciate the information.

    • @rrdancel
      @rrdancel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was 23 years old and my generous parents financed my education in Canada. The visa officer was convinced that may parents were capable of doing so and approved my study permit application.

    hi rachel! just wanted to ask if it was hard to create the letter of intent? I am struggling to decide on a course because I am worried that if I do choose a course that is on a different track from my undergraduate degree (business management), I might get rejected. I might be choosing a medicine-related field(2 year certificate, is this even a good decision? huhu), not sure. I have been watching your videos and I find them very useful! by far the best filipino-based channel for immigration to canada! hehee really gives me a clearer picture of life there and whether I could actually fit in the lifestyle. I heard you took a design course there even though you finished an engineering course. I have been out of college since 2018 so applying for anything relevant to academics is intimidating hahaha including academic IELTS! pls help huhu thanks so much!

      Hmmm after graduation, I was fortunate to find a job right away so I can work during the full term of my PGWP. I know to some finding a job asap may be quite challenging that’s why they opt to get 2 year study programs-as not to worry about the time constraint.

    • @rrdancel
      @rrdancel  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It really depends on each province's medical health coverage. Generally, international students will have to take up private health insurance. If that is the case, your private insurer will determine what you will be covered for.

    • @rrdancel
      @rrdancel  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Also protecting your best interest because if i say something, it's considered legal advice that may potentially do more harm than good on your application. :P For better guidance, better to seek legal help from a professional. • @rrdancel
      @rrdancel  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your question. Im not certain if I fully understood your question
      No school can really guarantee PR. There is an increased chance if the school you go to is a DLI that has PGWP-eligible programs.
      But in terms of school branding, it doesn’t really matter where you go - as long as you’re able to position yourself in a skilled job after graduation, you can increase your chances of becoming eligible for Express Entry.

    • @rrdancel

      Yes, I too don’t know what happened with me. 😂😂😂 i guess it’s all luck of the draw. But what is important is to find a job that falls under NOC A, B, or 0 if you want to apply for PR thru EE.
      So your studies and work can be mutually exclusive, as long as it still meets EE min requirements. Hope that answers your question.
