Chris Akrigg is the most underrated bike athlete ... legend
I don't think he's underrated by those who know about him just for whatever reason he's never exploded on social media like Danny and others so not enough people even know of him. I can only think it's how he likes it, just enough to live well and be able to ride and do the things he wants. This way he's got a lot more freedom than Danny and Co and can totally control what he has to do.

@@georgenaudi9042 basically every person I've ever seen comment on him or talk about him has been saying how stupidly talented he is. Especially anyone who knows about the sport. I know it might be hard but try asking any other rider in the industry they all know exactly how hard the stuff he does is and how good he is.
I can only think that he's not that interested in being better known as I'd be amazed if RedBull and Monster haven't tried to sponsor him. Being sponsored by either would get him more known in days and make him more wealthy so I can only think he's happy as he is. Making enough, showing his skills to those who want to see them and living life exactly how he wants to without the hassle of having to perform for a big sponsor.
@@itarry4 He's underrated in the industry without a doubt as well as from The Fanboys. Personally I think he's the best push bike trials Rider. Every bit as good or better than MacAskill. Or any other top trials Rider.
Two different riders/styles. One is better at some things and vice versa.

Mr Akrigg is very local to us in STEETON ,west yorkshire ! If this was Danny macaskill we would be on 10,000 views in 30/40 mins Chris is on 400/500 views ! What he's doing in this vid on an ebike is unique !!! A Danny & Chris video would be wicked in this our local wood ! 👌

I'm local to this spot and the video doesnt fully do justice to just how technical some of this riding is!
He doesn't just ride it, he makes it look relatively easy while doing it. Until Steve tries some of it and we've seen Steve climb some fairly difficult stuff himself, it's hard to judge truly how hard the stuff Chris does is, due to the camera and his huge ridiculous talent.
That intro from Steve is some quality journalism. Chris is the GOAT. If I could ride like anyone, it'd be him.
For me that was the best EMTB vid I have seen. Hats off to you Steve for even trying to follow him.
Akrigg could be one of the most underrated off road bike riders in modern times. The guy is a trials wizard. And he can ride the wheels off of almost any bike
Just totally amazed. Chris is just on a different level and Steve is staying right there with him. The skills and fitness levels to do these moves is just off the charts. Truly shows upper level of emtb skills.
This should be shared to all of the naysayers. This definitely isn't cheating.

Chris is a legend. Itwas very exciting to see how even an experienced rider as Steve looks like an average guy next to this man.

I like how Chris said he needs to concentrate on one section. Then Lemmy drops his stick and if rolls under Chris' bike. Then Chris says "thanks Lemmy".
I like the way Cris makes this stuff look stupidly easy and seeing Dave (who is an incredible rider) struggle and even pass on a lot of the features will tell you how insane this really is.

As crazy as this looks on video it's even crazier in person. The terrain up at Shipley glen is insane and Chris makes it look like a walk in the park!
When doings trials in crazy places like these, I'd wear elbow pads n knee pads. Better save than never. Chris is a beast on that emtb.

It's like watching a a mountain goat . So glad Steve is there, he's by no means a normal mortal on a bike, but it does show how ridiculous the lines are.
Yhea Chris made it all look so easy with the effect of the camera it fools your eye in to thinking its easier than it is... Until Steve tries it and can't get close to making it. Especially as you say because we've seen Steve do enough stuff himself and is no bad rider himself. I guess us mortals will have to be content watching as there's no way I'd ever get close to that talent.
That's just insane what Chris is doing on that bike you just gotta sit back and admire what he does as there's not many people can do it and fair play to Steve for having a go himself 👏👏👏

Good on you Steve! You were quite rightly in awe of what Chris does, but I bet your eyes were opened and your skill level was taken up a notch just by following some of his lines. Chris A makes the best riding videos imho- he rides the lines and way I would ride if I had an ounce of his talent.
