HELLO!!!!... I do not know what do mean by 0.8 in calculating the Beta. Anyway, Beta is the wetted angle where it is equal to 360-2(teta) as shown in the illustration...if you like to convert it to radian you have to multiply it by pi/180... the 0.80m is the radius since the diameter of the pipe is 1.60m...hope I answered your queries.
