The collaboration between BAND-MAID and The Warning on "Show Them" had its roots in 2022 when the two bands met for the first time at the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, California. The Warning, long-time admirers of BAND-MAID, connected with them backstage, and the idea of collaborating began to take shape. In December 2023, Kanami, BAND-MAID’s guitarist, sent The Warning a rough demo for "Show Them." Kanami aimed to venture into new musical territory, crafting a song that would bring out fresh aspects of both bands’ styles. Miku, BAND-MAID’s rhythm guitarist, worked on the lyrics with The Warning, blending ideas from both groups to refine the song’s message. The collaboration initially unfolded through Zoom meetings and shared drafts, a unique process for both bands. However, the real breakthroughs came in June 2024, when The Warning visited Japan. Working in person allowed the bands to fine-tune the track together, despite the challenges of language and cultural differences. Both groups contributed ideas that stayed true to their individual sounds while pushing creative boundaries. They didn't tour together. They played one show together in Tokyo where The Warning opened and then BAND-MAID came on and after their set they brought The Warning back on stage to perform this song live, featuring all eight members of BAND-MAID and The Warning. If you are interested in behind-the-scenes content, The Warning documented their experience in Japan in their vlog "Our First Time in Japan with Band-Maid," offering a closer look at how the collaboration came together and the camaraderie between the two bands.
Was lucky enough to be at their joint concert in Tokyo where they live debuted this song. Me & GF flew 6,000 miles from oHio to Japan! We spent 10 days in Japan. We stayed 5 days in Kyoto & Tokyo each with day trips to Osaka & Himeji. Was an amazing concert & trip! Was an experience we both will cherish forever! Really hoping that they release an official live video of this from that concert too! Both bands are friends & fans of each other. BTW - there's a behind the scenes video of this collab on The Warning's channel

That was the problem I try to text to stuff I haven’t heard and I listen to the warning before I started reacting but I will look for stuff I haven’t heard
Hey Mike we are having a live Maidstream this Saturday night 10:00 pm est on Creativity Talkings reaction channel. It would be awesome if you could possibly stop by to say hi and help us support the Maids. 🍺😁🤘🏻🕊️
I actually kind of agree because they found a middle ground where they mesh well and I love the song but I can find more songs individually by the bands that I like more
@@mikesmusicalrehab I believe Kanami said that she tried to write something that didn't sound like a typical Band-Maid song. The Warning brushed up Miku's lyrics to improve the English.

Hello Sir
@@MnPofBM hey there
I like both bands but for me this collaboration is not as good as each bands songs individually.
If you know both bands songs you'll see what I mean.
I actually kind of agree because they found a middle ground where they mesh well and I love the song but I can find more songs individually by the bands that I like more
So the point of collaborations is to try something new, and not to repeat what has already been done.

Exactly. Not certain if people really understand the meaning of collaboration. I think they did an amazing job putting this together ☮️🇨🇦🙂@@Olkam-w5u
