Welcome to THE pigeon hole (Po!) and, for a different vibe, you could try the 'Endless Story' Live closer to this same epic 10th Anniversary concert. Emotion pouring out of singer Saiki after rollercoaster of a gig, and the song...the second verse bass noodling man, just one of the many reasons I'm a natural born Maidiac!! From Japan BAND-MAID is a five-member girl rock band. This year marks their 12th anniversary. The members have not changed. They are a hard rock band and are considered by fans to be one of the best hard rock bands in the world. They usually have 23 songs and 2 hours of live performances. They were formed in Japan in 2013 by side guitarist Miku Kobato. Miku had experience working at a maid cafe in Akihabara, Tokyo, and came up with the idea of playing cool music in maid outfits. That's why the band was named BAND-MAID. "Thrill" was their first music video in 2014, and six months later, it suddenly achieved 2 million views in two weeks, avoiding disbandment and deciding to become a hard rock band. They have also performed overseas and are gaining more fans. Currently, they write, compose, and arrange all of their songs themselves. They have 140 original songs. They have 60 songs published on their official You Tube, and all of them are killer songs. ※ They will release their latest song, ZEN, on the 13th of this month. It is the theme song for the new anime, "ZENSHU."

Welcome to Band-Maid! The best hard rock band I have heard in my 58 years on this planet. While they don't class themselves as a metal band, they don't stick to any one genre and often mix genres in songs. They are extremely diverse and have an extensive back catalogue featuring Punk, Pop-Punk, Hard-Rock, Classic Rock, Metal, Prog, Blues, Jazz, Groove, Rap etc. From face melting 220 bpm punk-prog mayhem to ballads, instrumentals to acoustics they do it all. They can make you headbang, they can make you pogo, they can make you cry like a baby. They are also five of the nicest people in music, without a shred of ego. They are funny and fun and world class musicians to boot. They are currently into their 12th year with the original line up. And they are the best live band I have ever witnessed! Btw, Miku the rhythm guitarist (red rose) formed the band. She had the idea of Band-Maid after working as a maid in Japanese maid cafe's. Her idea is a concept called "The Gap" - that is what you see (cute maids) is NOT what you get (Hard Rock/Punk/Metal).
The lead guitarist is the main composer and she is a Classical pianist. So, you can imagine the type of song structures she likes. She listened to Chopin mostly then Santana and Larry Carlton.
This band was formed by Miku Kobato (backup singer and rhythm guitarist) in 2013. She had come off a contract from her Japanese Idol contest win, went to another production company, sold them on the concept of "the gap" (frilly café maids playing hard rock), and brought in the talented members. Realizing that the band's sound would benefit from a deeper lead voice, she had the production company recruit Saiki. A second/rhythm guitarist would also help, but instead of hiring a sixth member, Miku asked the lead guitarist to teach her to play. The group evolved towards independence of production company control and started writing their own music. A catalog of over 140 songs now, almost all are composed by the lead guitarist Kanami Tōno, and most lyrics written by Miku. In the case of "Hate?", the lyrics are written by Saiki (based on the situation a friend was having with her marriage). The bassist and both guitarist have limited signature models produced by the guitar companies they used. Miku has that metal design on her Flappy Pigeon model by Zemaitis. Misa has a black bass, that I don't know the details about ("Black Cloud"?). Kanami Tōno was honored a month or so ago with a signature guitar from PRS (only ten artists given that honor, the only Japanese guitarist and only female guitarist on that honor list that includes her heroes such as Carlos Santana). Recently, the band released some 20 songs as a spin-off from their 10th Anniversary tour. I recommend you listen to the official live videos of "Honkai". The intro is almost 3 minutes of just Misa on bass and Akane on drums. They do so many styles so it is hard to recommend just one. Be prepared to find yourself liking each song better than the last one you review. The Ohrenje documentary on each band member will make you see why the fans adore them, beyond their musical skills. They do instrumentals as breaks for the lead singer, and either the live version of "Onset" or the MV "From Now On" will blow your mind.
Thanks for all the info and for watching, looking forward to the drumming and bass in future songs, as well as the different genres. More band-maid coming soon

Welcome, Sattz. You are embarking on (along with many others - over 220 million YT views, plus over 40 million reactor plays!) an awesome, progressive, hard-rock journey with 5 incredible women. Here's my intro blurb for those who may be new to Band-Maid:
BAND-MAID’s songs and sound beat with the heart and soul of all rockers. But you’ll also hear heavy influences of Prog, Punk, Metal and Pop, with nice touches of Blues, Jazz, Funk and Grunge. Sometimes they use multiple genres within the same song. Their Composition, Execution, Joy of Playing, Consistency (144 songs), Uniqueness, Charisma, Charm and, oh yeah, Cuteness factor, position them as becoming the hard rock Beatles of our time! In other words, they’re destined for mega-stardom. Each member's personalities are super interesting and their musicianship among the best. Their writing, arrangements and overall sound, especially guitar tones and drums, are kick-ass! Having seen them LIVE, I can honestly say their performance, sound, stage appearance, and band synergy is off-the-rails spectacular! Band-Maid is the only band in decades where I love nearly EVERY song they’ve done. I have over 80 favorites! "Thrill" (2014) is a great place to start: th-cam.com/video/Uds7g3M-4lQ/w-d-xo.html Their songs from albums Unleash, Unseen World, Conqueror, World Domination, Just Bring It, Brand New Maid, and New Beginning drive even more - Hate?, Shambles, Influencer, Warning, No God, Different, Black Hole, Rinne, Blooming, Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Don’t You Tell Me, Turn Me On, Fate, Play, You, Hide-And-Seek, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Choose Me, I Can’t Live Without You, and on and on. But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, The One, Bestie, About Us, Memorable, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, At The Drop Of A Hat, Mirage and Smile... or more punky like After Life, Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like Manners and The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or a bit jazzy like Wonderland… or progressive like No God, Giovanni, and Black Hole… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series… or instrumentals like From Now On, Don’t Be Long, Onset, Without Holding Back and Going Nuts… or their many acoustic versions like Catharsis and Sayonakidori... and last but not least, their Anime hits (AniMaid) like Protect You, Sense, Different, Glory and Unleash!!!!! (from their own Anime MV (series?)): th-cam.com/video/7LB_EPS48HE/w-d-xo.html) And many songs are represented with over 50 well produced music videos. th-cam.com/users/BANDMAID Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE audience & online OKYUJI concerts: 2023 Yokohama 10th Year Anniversary Concert “Endless Story” th-cam.com/video/Za1y-RRVd70/w-d-xo.html ONLINE OKYU-JI (Feb. 11, 2021) “No God” th-cam.com/video/nAdWnIRjGak/w-d-xo.html Tokyo's LINE CUBE SHIBUYA (February 14, 2020) “Domination” th-cam.com/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/w-d-xo.html ZEPP 2018 “Real Existence” th-cam.com/video/-qQnKILR5u0/w-d-xo.html Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 and other full concerts are on bandmaidprime.tokyo, bili, and official Band-Maid’s DVD/BD/CD. At 30 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Teacher) as band members call her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away her sometimes perceived, coldish persona. Saiki’s powerhouse performances, charisma, and voice focus the experience that’s driven her to the top echelon of hard rock frontwomen... or frontmen! Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 33 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kuruppo! No, no, no… KURUPPO!! Kanami Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 33 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more! Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 34 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumZilla” is the Party! MISA (Me-Sa) "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass, 32 years old. An alluring free spirit driving her 5-string to rapturous low-ends while pulling off surprising counter leads with Kanami, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. Sometimes seen as the Mysterious One because she lets her instrument do the talking, the Assassin literally kills it… every note... uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA! Maidiacs (Maid-e-acts) - Band-Maid’s crazed yet supportive, knowledgeable and loyal Super Fans. @@SattzFF Band-Maid are my favourite but there are many others to try. Some song suggestions: Lovebites - Holy War (live) (this is metal so you might not like it, but it's very melodic) Nemophila - Life Wagakki Band - Homura/Akatsuki no ito (live) The above will get you lots of views. Below bands won't get at as many but are incredible: Asterism - Church (live) Sokoninaru - Tenohira de Odoru Gacharic Spin - Mindset This is just the tip of the iceberg but no point giving you too long a list. Btw Band-Maid's music is diverse, so if this is a bit too heavy for you, that's not a problem. Songs like Dice or Freedom (live) have more of a classic rock vibe. But it's worth checking out every corner of what they do.
Welcome & thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 (You should have watched this video with cc on for English subtitle.) My wife and I witnessed this very performance at the venue on Nov.26, 2023. Very exciting 3-hour-40-minute-long show with 33-song setlist. We were in bliss (and happy fatigue thereafter 😄). Band-Maid is one of the best bands in our country, especially in live performance. We say "Japan is the country obsessed by Rock Music". The history is very long and the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Speaking of hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since as early as 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978), Judas Priest (1978/79) and so on. Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands. They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.)
Welcome to the fandom! I suggest these songs: Thrill, Dice, Manners, Bubble, No God (live) & Puzzle (live) BTW - most their videos offer english subtitles (CC button)
They’ve got a throwback sound, so if you like older rock, there’s something for you. They play all over the rock spectrum and kind of infuse it with their flavor of prog. They work really hard to pack their songs with interesting details, which reward careful listening. Nice catch on the tempo thing. I think it was just a glitch in the video editing.
@@SattzFF They're a little bit weird. It's not prog like, let's take 10 minutes to slowly roll out some ideas. Their songs are radio length, and have normal song sections, catchy choruses, riffs, etc. They're all just doing a lot. Their drummer is constantly switching up her patterns. Their verses are always different from the first to the second. Half the time the lead guitarist is low key soloing through the whole song, including the chorus. Their bassist won't just play root notes, but will weave in and out of whom she's accompanying, or will just play lead. They have a very dynamic, progressive approach, but it's hard to say like, this song is prog rock, because they basically work hard to camouflage it and make it more accessible.
The one you mentioned was the lead guitarist, is actually the rhythm guitarist, backing vocals, lead vocals, main lyricist, main spokes pigeon, and band founder. Miku is playing her signature guitar from Zemaitis. Called the "Flappy Pigeon". The lead guitarist, in the "duel", which we call conversations in the Maidiac world, is playing a PRS guitar. She recently received a high honor from Mr. Paul Reed Smith himself, when he present Kanami her limited edition signature model PRS. The first guitarist from Japan to be honored, male or female, to receive the honor. There are only 9 signature artist honored by PRS, with the likes of Carlos Santana, etc. The lead singer is Saiki. She wears what would be the head servant outfit. MISA is the bassist and is one of the best live band bassist in the world right now. Her nickname..."The Barefoot Assassin" and her maid outfit is a assassin maid outfit. So says Miku. PO! MISA plays a signature Black Smoker guitar by a Japanese company called Black Cloud. Akane on drum is an endorsed artist by Tama Drums and Zildjian. She also has signature drumsticks by Wincent. Talented band and the companies who endorse them sure see the talent in all the members of the band. PO! 🕊 🤘😆🤘
The "Manners, Black Hole" live video is a good two-fer to see Band-Maid's range, and they're also two songs where the bass is particularly prominent. Their songs "Dice," "No God," and "Influencer" also come to mind, with Dice being probably closest to their root sound, and the other two being very different directions in which they've branched out.
Nice catch on MISAs image. She is described as an "Assassin Maid." Initially, they all wore pretty much the same maid outfits, but over the last 11 years, they have evolved and individualized their outfits.
@SattzFF short version. They gave an interview in their early days where the interviewer challenged them on MISA's outfit, and Miku insisted it was an assassin Maid outfit. Since then, and because MiSA plays barefoot, her nickname is the Barefoot Assassin
If you love the bass then Band-Maid is the band for you…MISA! is a lead bassist. Keep reacting and you’ll experience one of the best bassist there is today. 🤘🕊️🦍🥷👸🏻👀PO!
Having seen Zep 3 times and disappointed 3 times, I can tell you the diff. These ladies are the epitome of professionalism, never drunk or high on stage, never just sloppin it around out there. The Stones were notorious for showing up hours late and playing for an hour, the list goes on. I like you grew up on classic rock ( I'm 73 ) and love it to death, but Band Maid puts every single one of them to shame. Best large catalog, best live band, simply the best.
"Unfortunately I don't know Japanese". Well, I guess that's what that closed caption button is for. Turn it on, relisten to the song and just enjoy those rather saucy lyrics. Actually, feel free to relisten to the song and pay attention to different aspects of this song to be amazed by them, like everyone one of them members of Band-Maid. Oh, yeah, about what happened after the bass and guitar combined following their duet (Timestamp = 9:51). You were amazed by something and you speculated that it might have been a change of tempo. Actually, it was the rhythm guitarist joining in that changed the entire dynamic of the song. The person you thought was playing a Gibson as a lead guitarist (Timestamp = 13:41) is actually the Rhythm guitarist, Miku Kobato (and she's playing a Zemaitis). The other person that you passed by (Timestamp = 13:34), thinking she was the rhythm guitarist, is the actual lead guitarist, Kanami Tono. She's playing a Paul Reed Smith. No matter, good try anyway! 😛 I am sure we will be hearing more from you in this Band-Maid community. Looking forward to it.
You should have turned the Closed Captions on. It's pretty funny. They have some song entirely in English, but most are about an 80/20% mix. She's not an Executioner though. She's an Assassin. The Barefoot Assassin. And actually I think Led Zeppelin was inspired by BAND-MAID. But seriously Jimmy Page said Akan was a very good drummer and really enjoyed the show. He even asked for a picture with her. If you'd like to hear her do a drum solo check out 'Freedom' LIVE.
MISA!!! MISA!!! MISA!!! 🥃🥃🥃Badass Bass Assassin and the best Hard Rock band in the world 🌎 in my opinion. MISA and Kanami have some of the best "conversations" with each other in a few songs 🤙🏽
Welcome to the world of the Maid 🌎 🤘🏽 Quite impressive of you to pick up so many details on a blind reaction. Take it from an old blues rock cat, this will be your next favorite band. Especially when you’re a fan of Zeppelin. Jimmy Page is a fan of Band Maid 🤷🏻 Band Maid are fearless composers and have a ridiculous variety in their music catalog. Because of the comments you made about your preferences, here are a few of my favorite Maid tracks that travel in that more classic, melodic rock lane. “DICE,” OMV “Thrill,” OMV “Don’t you tell ME,” OMV (There’s a great live version as well, but I’m recommending the video for clarity and composition) “The non-fiction days,” OMV If you’re ok with a faster paced, punk rock drum driven song, “Blooming” is my pick for their most impressive song from a songwriting/arrangement standpoint. In any case, you have only scratched the surface. This band is special.
The use of English in Japanese music is quite common and a trend that started back in the 1970's with a new generation of musicians that were heavily influenced by British and American rock and roll. Long story short, Japanese think English sounds cool. Pretty much everybody studies English in middle and high school so it sounds familiar to them. Japanese also uses a lot of foreign loan words, mostly from English. When you see something written in katakana, one of the two phonetic alphabets, about 90% of the time it will be a transliteration of a word from English.
If you want to learn how to compose and what is a good song structure. This is the band. Especially check out Kanami, the girl with the PRS . She is THE sensei to learn from!
Great reaction Sattz! Comparison to Led Zeppelin... high praise, but absolutely apt. Subbed, based on you saying you're going to do more reactions, and the fact that you're going to love Misa on bass going forward, for sure.
As I'd expect of any Led Zeppelin fan to know instantly that this is hard rock and not metal. You like bass, you like classic rock, and you have no clue that the music you've reacted to have had major influences on these women. Dude, your toast. Start off with something fum: DOMINATION (Official Live Video) or FREEDOM (Official Live Video) or REAL EXISTENCE (Official Live Video). More serious Puzzle (Official Live Video). Ballad? Daydreaming (Official Music Video). An instrumental that shows their chops: from now on (Official Music Video). Something for your girlfriend: Choose me (Official Live Video).

Did you say you are the bass guy, loves groove? and also loves classic rock? Then you've just found the perfect, literally, 'perfect' band. I've been listening to rock music for 40 years now (not really dig into the metal though) and I can't find any bassist who is as heavy, funky and groovy at the same time as this bassist. Honestly🤘
Pausing during the solos...unforgivable! Why would you not let a specific and obvious phase of the piece play out? You are supposed to be a composer! Respect the work!!

Welcome to the "Pigeon Hole"! Here's a guide to everything BAND-MAID: www.youtube.com/@Ohrenje. I highly recommend the documentaries! Bassist is Misa, a crowd favorite.
Almost all of their M/Vs have subtitles in english - but from your reactions, I think you may know that 👍😎If not, watch it with the sub-titles on with your girlfriend - it'd make for an interesting comparison to them. Funny you should compare MISA's (bassist) outfit to an 'executioner', her nickname is "The Barefoot Assassin" 👍😎 While they describe themselves as "hard rock", they have influences from a LOT of genres, and play ballads and acoustic tracks, amongst others. For your next listen, perhaps the "Manners" and "Black Hole" double - the first being more funky blues, the latter being rather different... Oh, not so much a "duel", more a "conversation" - and the winner was... US, as with all their music.
If you're interested, watch how colleagues from the girl band Lovebites put together a demo of a song in a couple of hours. (overall 3 parts) th-cam.com/video/zODuQZ0Ka6k/w-d-xo.htmlsi=wjkbzCk3PzQJIOQY part 1

BAND-MAID is a five-member girl rock band.

Welcome to the Band Maid world, the best hard rock band on the planet for the last 10 years!!!
Hey Sattz,
welcome to the world of Band-Maid.
Hope to see more Band-Maid here in the future !
More coming soon, still sorting which song I'll do first
Welcome to Band-Maid!
Certainly interested to see all these genres implemented in future reactions. Thanks for the info and for watching!
The lead guitarist is the main composer and she is a Classical pianist. So, you can imagine the type of song structures she likes. She listened to Chopin mostly then Santana and Larry Carlton.
Those are pretty strong inspirations and being a pianist must help, thanks for watching and for the info
I'd love to see Kanami cover Carlton's "Room 335."
No God should be your next BandMaid reaction! Also great vid reaction 🙏
Thanks for watching, I'll check out that one as well
This band was formed by Miku Kobato (backup singer and rhythm guitarist) in 2013.
Great reaction and the winner of the guitar bass conversation is ..... the Fans. Thanks for reacting to Band-Maid.
Thanks for watching, must be a great experience to be in the crowd listening to that duel solo
💯% agree about the "conversations " 🤙🏽
@@SattzFFduals are between adversaries. MISA and Kanami are musical sisters chatting with each other. 🙂🤙🏽
Thanks so much for sharing!

(from their own Anime MV (series?)): th-cam.com/video/7LB_EPS48HE/w-d-xo.html)
And many songs are represented with over 50 well produced music videos. th-cam.com/users/BANDMAID

Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Don’t Let Me Down, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid.

Band-Maid Members:
Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “StarQueen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies.
MISA! MISA!

Best band on the planet. Period.
Any more japanese rock bands I should check out as well?
@@SattzFF Band-Maid are my favourite but there are many others to try. Some song suggestions:
Lovebites - Holy War (live) (this is metal so you might not like it, but it's very melodic)
Nemophila - Life
Wagakki Band - Homura/Akatsuki no ito (live)
The above will get you lots of views. Below bands won't get at as many but are incredible:
Asterism - Church (live)
Sokoninaru - Tenohira de Odoru
Gacharic Spin - Mindset
This is just the tip of the iceberg but no point giving you too long a list.
Btw Band-Maid's music is diverse, so if this is a bit too heavy for you, that's not a problem. Songs like Dice or Freedom (live) have more of a classic rock vibe. But it's worth checking out every corner of what they do.
Got it, thanks for suggesting these and for watching!
Great reaction to this extraordinary band
Thanks for watching, have seen the same music video twice now
Welcome & thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 (You should have watched this video with cc on for English subtitle.)
My wife and I witnessed this very performance at the venue on Nov.26, 2023.
Late, happy new year Po from Hamburg Po!❤
@tasminoben686 Thank you Po. Happy new year to you, too Po.
Thanks for the info and for watching, I'll try subtitles next time
Welcome to the fandom! I suggest these songs: Thrill, Dice, Manners, Bubble, No God (live) & Puzzle (live)
BTW - most their videos offer english subtitles (CC button)
Thanks for watching, more band-maid coming soon! I'll add these songs to the list
If you have any suggestions for a song by them with prog rock then I'm open to check it out soon. thanks for watching!
Got it, still interested in hearing their songs
Did you say drum solo? Try the the live version of Freedom. Try the song Manners if you like classic rock.
Got it, certainly looking forward to see more of the drummer, thanks for watching
I knew this would be a comment. Everyone loves them some Akane solos.
PO! 🕊 🤘😆🤘
Got it, eventually I'll remember their names and faces. Thanks for watching
Good to see they keep it fresh and experiment. thanks for watching!
Nice catch on MISAs image. She is described as an "Assassin Maid." Initially, they all wore pretty much the same maid outfits, but over the last 11 years, they have evolved and individualized their outfits.
Is there any backstory to the "Assassin Maid" outfit or is it just because it looks cool? either way, thanks for watching and for the info
🤘🕊️🦍🥷👸🏻👀PO!

WHAT YOU CALL CLASSIC ROCK IS JUST THE THEME MUSIC OF MY LIFE. BAND-MAID IS A CONTINUATION OF MY STORY
I am sure we will be hearing more from you in this Band-Maid community. Looking forward to it.
Thank you for support the Maids, best hard rock band right now...do the song Honkai¡¡
Thanks for watching, Honkai is certainly on the list
💜💛❤💙💚
Welcome to the Maidiacs.
They rule in all genres, don't fear anything ;-)
You should have turned the Closed Captions on. It's pretty funny. They have some song entirely in English, but most are about an 80/20% mix. She's not an Executioner though. She's an Assassin. The Barefoot Assassin. And actually I think Led Zeppelin was inspired by BAND-MAID. But seriously Jimmy Page said Akan was a very good drummer and really enjoyed the show. He even asked for a picture with her. If you'd like to hear her do a drum solo check out 'Freedom' LIVE.
Freedom is on the list of songs I'll check out, thanks for watching
The song title is a clever play on words by Band Maid. The Japanese word for "huh?" sounds similar to "hate", hence the odd title !
Good to know, thanks for watching
MISA!!! MISA!!! MISA!!! 🥃🥃🥃Badass Bass Assassin and the best Hard Rock band in the world 🌎 in my opinion. MISA and Kanami have some of the best "conversations" with each other in a few songs 🤙🏽

Welcome to the world of the Maid 🌎 🤘🏽
Quite impressive of you to pick up so many details on a blind reaction. Take it from an old blues rock cat, this will be your next favorite band. Especially when you’re a fan of Zeppelin. Jimmy Page is a fan of Band Maid 🤷🏻
Band Maid are fearless composers and have a ridiculous variety in their music catalog. Because of the comments you made about your preferences, here are a few of my favorite Maid tracks that travel in that more classic, melodic rock lane.
“DICE,” OMV
“Thrill,” OMV
“Don’t you tell ME,” OMV (There’s a great live version as well, but I’m recommending the video for clarity and composition)
“The non-fiction days,” OMV
If you’re ok with a faster paced, punk rock drum driven song, “Blooming” is my pick for their most impressive song from a songwriting/arrangement standpoint.
In any case, you have only scratched the surface. This band is special.
Got it, I'll add these to the list and more coming soon. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for explaining, heard Led Zeppelin is pretty big there when it comes to rock n' roll
If you want to learn how to compose and what is a good song structure. This is the band. Especially check out Kanami, the girl with the PRS . She is THE sensei to learn from!
Learned she's also a pianist and has good inspirations so I can see why she's so good. Thanks fot watching!
Domination has a drum solo.
So I've heard, will check it out soon, thanks for watching

Great reaction Sattz! Comparison to Led Zeppelin... high praise, but absolutely apt. Subbed, based on you saying you're going to do more reactions, and the fact that you're going to love Misa on bass going forward, for sure.
Saiki can be scary if you make her angry, so please be kind to her ❤
As I'd expect of any Led Zeppelin fan to know instantly that this is hard rock and not metal.
Thanks for watching, I'll check out these ones as well
MISA MISA MISA........you'll understand later. 🙂

Enjoy
Did you say you are the bass guy, loves groove? and also loves classic rock? Then you've just found the perfect, literally, 'perfect' band. I've been listening to rock music for 40 years now (not really dig into the metal though) and I can't find any bassist who is as heavy, funky and groovy at the same time as this bassist. Honestly🤘
The bassist plays very well, doesn't stay behind and really lets it shine through. Reminds me of Chris Squire and Geddy Lee, thanks for watching!
@SattzFF Good point! Chris Squire plays his bass with a pick and so does she (I mean mostly. She switches to fingerpicking depending on the song).
Pausing during the solos...unforgivable! Why would you not let a specific and obvious phase of the piece play out? You are supposed to be a composer! Respect the work!!
I paused once I think, but I'll try not to do it next time. Thanks for watching

Thank you. Good decision not to include the captions, they are usually a distraction on a first impression of this banger.
I'll probably check out the lyrics on my own as well, thanks for watching!
Welcome to the "Pigeon Hole"! Here's a guide to everything BAND-MAID: www.youtube.com/@Ohrenje. I highly recommend the documentaries! Bassist is Misa, a crowd favorite.
Hey Maidiacs live Maidstream tonight on Creativity Talkings channel. 10:00pm est🍺😁
Almost all of their M/Vs have subtitles in english - but from your reactions, I think you may know that 👍😎If not, watch it with the sub-titles on with your girlfriend - it'd make for an interesting comparison to them.
Funny you should compare MISA's (bassist) outfit to an 'executioner', her nickname is "The Barefoot Assassin" 👍😎
While they describe themselves as "hard rock", they have influences from a LOT of genres, and play ballads and acoustic tracks, amongst others.
For your next listen, perhaps the "Manners" and "Black Hole" double - the first being more funky blues, the latter being rather different...
Oh, not so much a "duel", more a "conversation" - and the winner was... US, as with all their music.
Just an E Dorian minor scale, Tonic (I) to sub dominant (IV) = "weird chord change" .....really?
it sounded cropped when I first heard it, maybe it's because of the speed. Thanks for watching
🕊👀🥰🇯🇵❤😁🍻
