So, the sennheiser sub have a up-firing woofer, do you have to try activate the 180° phasing in app ? on a another channel test of the ammbeo plus, I see that *IF* you activate the 180° phasing, you can have 21hz to 50hz boost at +40dB (from 35dB to 75dB with volume sub setting at +6dB). I would expect Sennheiser to be better as different price range is being compared. In our country, the Q990D costs about 1,100 euros (C for 800 eur), while the AMBIO costs 1,700 euros + 500 euros for the subwoofer, which amounts to 2,200 euros. This price is 2x the Samsung price. @1:15 Duh, wall mount your TV. Anyway, who is going to have a sound bar like this and not ALREADY have their TV wall mounted? Lol. That's the first thing anyone serious about their setup does. It's cheap, you can do it yourself and it makes a huge impact on your setup. So, if you are buying a $1700-$1800 soundbar, this is a MUST, if not done already. But I love how this video just skips over that, like we still live in our Mom's basement and just have some scrubby a** stand to set our TV on. Get with it bro! You're like 10 years behind with that LACK of perspective on the simple perspective of mounting your TV on a wall. 😂

@@ianm4316 that's incorrect. The company is setting it's own RRP for a product they produce. The likelihood is that the retailers selling this, which aren't many, don't have the option or margins to put it on sale. Price fixing is a little different.
The Ambeo has phenomenal bass but it is not true 30 Hertz 3db as stated. Many people have measured it , and this is not surprising as over exaggerating frequency responses the norm from almost all manufacturers. That said the bass it puts out is almost unbelievable You could close your eyes and be fooled into thinking you were listening to a dedicated subwoofer, and a decent one at that. The only soundbar that I have ever heard that can even produce better bass Is the original Bowers & Wilkins Panorama 1 and 2. They were actually quite similar in design to the Ambeo but with a much more premium fit, finish and build quality along with better overall sound quality. Unfortunately Bowers & Wilkins no longer makes soundbars- that are on the same power with their first gen units. They were truly something special and you will find nothing like them today- Ambeo is the closest you'll get.
Great video, I have the ambeo soundbar max and it’s fantastic, however on buying the ambeo sub to match, it refuses to connect wirelessly, Reddit is full of people having the same problem and there’s no fix. So rca cable is the only option, and of course seinheiser have not included it with the sub as it’s ideally supposed to connect wirelessly, has put a damper on the whole purchase, I will return them both and get my money back, if you pay a premium you expect it to work, and it does not. Also seinheiser support is non existent, they don’t reply to cases, whole experience has left a bad taste in my mouth, the sub is £649 and the soundbar £2100, al in a complete waste of money
Thanks buddy, glad you enjoyed it. But surprised to hear about your issues - didn't have any problems on two occasions myself. Such a shame as the setup you have is pretty much unrivaled!
Update. Had the sub replaced and the replacement does exactly the same thing, ie no wireless. Also bought a RCA cable but has a loud buzzing feedback sound when nothing is playing, replacing the cable, if I can get rid of the buzzing I will keep it all, sounds good for movies. No static noise at all from the soundbar max
Even with your recording of the sound bar playing music, on youtube, I can immediately hear the limitations of the drivers used. I can hear it has a horrible colors and break modes in the sound. While you may be impressed as it may sound better than other soundbars, its absolute crap when compared to proper hi-fi speakers. The big problem with sound bars is the price they are a rip-off, the big ones cost thousands, and they are just cheap wide range drivers in a log bar plastic enclosure. Geez you should make one yourself from parts, and use quality hi fi drivers.
@@TotallydubbedHD I mean to me everything has to be perfect. TV on the wall wires inside the wall. Sound bar on a media console well below the TV. If the setup is sloppy why spend the money on nice things.

@TotallydubbedHD I would think that a sub from a company dedicated to subwoofer like REL would be a massive improvement over the Senn. But then there's the cost.
hi ! thanks for this video of a premium soundbar. If you have again the sub, can you confirm that ? thanks a lot.
Glad you enjoyed it.
As for your question, I can't recall seeing that, you'll see from my video the app too.
@@TotallydubbedHD yes I see the app in your video from starting to the end. And all your other video too about soundbar (I'm fan of high tech). About the gain 21hz to 50hz when activating phasing control 180°, it's a new video test of sennheiser ambeo plus with his sub go out this weekend. 😉

@@TotallydubbedHD ok
Own one, it's really great and the 3D sound works much better than antiicipated. Only downside is the software and wifi connection issues. Its really bad
Only plus to that is its not really needed for it to be connected unless you really want to stream to the soundbar only (workaround Is you can stream to your tv and it will go through the sound bar)
@@te86a thanks for sharing!
Does the Front Display have a Dolby Atmos indicator and DTX?
Yup!
How does this compare to the plus
Better watch the videos!
Hi i have a 120 inch UST setup in my large hall. I need to invest in a home theatre wireless. Should I go for sonos sony or Ambeo. Please suggest thanks.
The best sounding bar, money no object is the Sennheiser. Presume you watched the video?
@@TotallydubbedHD thanks for the reply my room size is 600 sqft it's a large hall. Does Sennheiser perform well in big room?
@@Dr.Rohithkumar I can't see another soundbar outperforming it
@@TotallydubbedHD what about the Dolby Atmos surround sound of other systems like Sonos or sony? Or should I compromise Dolby Atmos and buy just this good clarity soundbar and invest in subwoofer!
Money is not an issue i need it to be wireless.
@@Dr.Rohithkumar suggest, again that you watch the video!!
Are you going to review the AOC 25G3ZM new VA 240hz monitor?
It's not on my list at the moment!
You'll be pleased to know that it's now coming in for review!

Not to mention SONOS, SONY, ... ugh even more expensive. So ...
Well, not everything is priced competitively!
I have the Max and sennheiser sub woofer and to address the 2.0 HDMI ports i have the audio of my Panasonic 9000 going to one and the audio from my Sony 800 m2 for sacd going to the other.
Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful soundbar but HDMI 2.0 NO WAY I CAN'T DO IT :/
It’s amazing . 🎉🎉
@@IamSavoiiMusic not everyone wants to mount things on walls no matter how rich your are or badly setup you want a TV to be for your neck health. Chill out.
I love it!!
I feel like this soundbar is over hype I heard that static you single out, You don't pay this kind of money to hear static or reverb
If it wasn't for the price fixing on the Sennheiser Ambeo Soundbar Max I would probably buy it but fixing prices isn't a good practice 🤔
What do you mean?
@@TotallydubbedHD £1,799.00 seems to be the consensus all over the board? you can find cheaper right😉🤔
@@ianm4316 it's actually been more expensive than that. Can't see what's wrong with a price being at a set value though?
@@TotallydubbedHD A company would be breaking the law if they agreed with another business: to charge the same prices to customers.. UK law😉
@@ianm4316 that's incorrect. The company is setting it's own RRP for a product they produce. The likelihood is that the retailers selling this, which aren't many, don't have the option or margins to put it on sale.
Price fixing is a little different.
I am very please with my Ambeo, I love it. BTW, you need to clean the dust in your room 🤦🏻♂️
Glad you're enjoying it. As for the comment, it's cleaned regularly, just that dust accumulates very quickly.
Ah we have the same tele table. I must subcribe on that alone! lol
Haha thanks!
@@Mambo1701e that's so odd. Maybe it's an issue with the soundbar then. You on the latest firmware?
@@TotallydubbedHD yeah latest firmware both soundbar and subwoofer
@@Mambo1701e very odd, not sure then, sorry!
It's always hard to compare to dedicated hifi systems as they're different in many ways - it's sound quality vs convenience.
You realistically shouldn’t be using this sound bar if your TV isn’t mounted on the wall.
Why's that?
@@TotallydubbedHD because it’s too tall. Why would you want the bottom of your screen and IR being slightly interfered with.
@@TheCdM1981 I seriously wouldn't worry about that lol
@@TotallydubbedHD I mean to me everything has to be perfect. TV on the wall wires inside the wall. Sound bar on a media console well below the TV. If the setup is sloppy why spend the money on nice things.
Lol nearly a down payment on a car for a sound bar and subwoofer
:o
No match for sennheiser i have used hd 598 headphone no company can match the sound of sennheiser, sennheiser is not for begeniers, best in class sound, best is class product, best in class quality. It is just that sennheiser needs to work on the marketing to cover the country like india.
Samsung 990C nr 1.
Nope!
The 30HZ claim is a bit lame, you cant get 30 out of this when measured at a decent level. KEF are famous for these claims.
I'm confused by your comment in a few ways lol.
Rip - my right ear
What?
I cannot believe TH-camrs are still doing "audio demos". You must realize it is utterly pointless?
I cannot believe people still complain about audio demos.
@@TotallydubbedHD Okay, tell me what the point of demoing audio gear via TH-cam is? What does it accomplish? You will have no answer.
@michaelscott466 as you can have a little idea of how it performs, for example with different audio modes. Don't provide it people complain, provide it and people complain. Can't please everyone, just appreciate that you're getting a free video.
It's like a big lump of concrete in front of a TV. Ridiculous design.
