You should try the Devialet Dione, this is by far the best all in one solution. You really don’t need any sub because it’s that powerful, couldn‘t belief that such a small package could generate such rich and powerful sound. The Sennheiser Ambeo Max has the better 3D surround sound, but the Devialet Dione on the other hand delivers the better music quality.

The Max has an RCA out for the sub. You could get one of these: www.svsound.com/products/soundpath-wireless-audio-adapter. Strap the transmitter to the back of the sound bar and the receiver to the back of the sub.

A Sennheiser Ambeo not really good for watching action movies but ok for watching TV with normal low volume dialogue, Really wouldn't you be best just using the crapp TV speak and keeping your money in your pocket, The Ambeo is fantastic at high volume no more than 40 but I don't know anyone who watches films at home with super loud volume anyway. There is no distortion or harshness whatsoever this thing is still today the best all in one soundbar hence the reason they didn't change anything except renamed it the Ambeo Max because they released the smaller version

Many thanks for the video. Very grateful for it. But on your place I would concentrate more how to remove fireplace and place tv on proper height. Also if I were you, playroom would become my theatre room and kids can play anywhere, they really don’t care. Your house is really big but you don’t have proper place to rest. Placing your setup in area where everyone may distract you at any moment isn’t very logical to me.
The trim doesn’t move in the ambeo max app after calibration. I have pb2000 pro. Trying to calibrate correctly. Do I set the trim level to 0 on ambeo app and then run calibration?
Can I just check: i can still connect the ambeo subwoofer to my MAX soundbar but only via RCA cable right? My ambeo sub is arriving tomorrow and got my ambeo max for 2years now and loving it
Correct. You can either do a wireless receiver/transmitter like an SVS tri-band, or run RCA cable to it. I was saying if you were to do that, there are much better subs than the Ambeo sub. The other disadvantage is the Ambeo Max room correction software doesn't account for the addition of the sub.
I’m sure it will be very good but I doubt next level as it relies on up firing speakers as I’ve never heard one, that’s come close to speakers properly located above. I’m certainly willing to give it a listen.
@@ObsessedGarage This is not correct. When connecting a wired sub, the Plus will no longer allow pairing with a wireless one. This fact is not made clear at all in their manual. From your comment on the SVS SB2000, I see that you can add another subwoofer of another brand.
In my case I have Arendal.
Would it be connected by cable or do you have to have a device.
wireless device?

Greetings
No, it doesn't have any manual adjustment capability.
@@ObsessedGarage Thank you for your patience in answering.
I will keep an eye out for future releases and other brands.

YOU DO KNOW NOW I HOPE THAT YOU HAVE TO HARD WIRE THE SUB WOFFFER TO THE MAX RIGHT?
I am very happy with the immersive sound of my samsung q600c.. I have only small room
Bro the max has 13 drivers. You forgot the 2 on top
The baby holding the door 😅
Your socks remind me of my first MN Sports memory. Watching Bobby Jackson!
Ha, ha... Yeah, I'm hoping my shins will stop bleeding every workout.
Too bad the other shoe dropped on the cheating scandal. Not a bad trade for a gophers final four appearance, I guess.
Would you recommend this for a covered outdoor living space?
Yeah, I think it would work well there.
Cool socks! What brand?
Will you ever put together varying level sound bar packages?
Yep, that's the plan.
I wish you'd do more Home Theater content, I love these videos.
The trim doesn’t move in the ambeo max app after calibration. I have pb2000 pro.
Trying to calibrate correctly. Do I set the trim level to 0 on ambeo app and then run calibration?
Hmmm... I'm not sure about that.
Sorry. Btw. This video really really helped me decide which way to go for my moms tv setup! Thank you!! 🎉
I agree with you most of the time, but the wife factor comes into play here. Adding just the sub was a fight, let alone whole new set up
Pls can the ambeo max be paired with svs pb16 ultra subwoofer?
Yes, but you'd need to use RCA cable for it.
Hello, any update on your purchase ? Curious to know if you find Ambeo Sub to be good with the Max
Hi, how can I connect a Bose bass module 700 sub to an AMBEO Soundbar Max?
Thank you
Yes, that will work.
Nakamichi Dragon is coming out soon…supposed to be next level
I’m sure it will be very good but I doubt next level as it relies on up firing speakers as I’ve never heard one, that’s come close to speakers properly located above. I’m certainly willing to give it a listen.
@@johnmbell4642 Yup we’ll see er ah hear!
Thank you for testing
I am thinking about the Ambeo Max but I am concerned about how hot I heard it can get. Should I be concerned about that?
Muffled center channel syndrome is common with the max because of the excessive heat melting the coils. Stick with the plus you go ambeo
Lol the dragon will eat that little thing and sit it out😅
how can i add rear speakers
You should just motorize the mantle mount and keep the speaker you want. Then just tell Siri to lower or raise your tv.
Can you plug a sub into the Ambeo Plus AND do a wireless sub?
Yes, you can.
@@ObsessedGarage This is not correct. When connecting a wired sub, the Plus will no longer allow pairing with a wireless one. This fact is not made clear at all in their manual. (I did have an opportunity to compare the Ambeo Sub with the SVS SB2000 however, and it didn't take but a few moments to return the Ambeo sub for a refund).
I have the Ambeo Max and it’s been with the service team for months. DONT BUY one. The service are not capable of detecting issues with the motherboard and it’s been months with them. Still under warranty!,,, Apparently they won’t swap it out. 6 -8 weeks back order
That happens with tech. It's part of the game.
I know I can’t be the first.. but the max with 2 svs subs and you’re in nakamichi dragon territory. And you can still add external subs to that also. Lol 🎉
I’d like to see a family vacation to like Tahiti or bora bora. Imagine Matt on vacation he would go insane
It took more than 15 minutes to get to a sound demo 😳
It's ginormous 😂
What are those????!!!
Those what?
LMAOOO
🤣
Matt looking like he just came back from a jog and decided to do a video lol
Yep...came from the gym.
I wanna see the home theater
Awesome video and info
The Dragon is awesome much better than ambeo if u think it’s a Tank then the Dragon is an aircraft carrier !!!
The Dragon is like 10 speakers.
Does ambeo plus accommodate 2 subs?
Yes, you can do up to 4.
What city do you reside?
The Villages, FL
With sub. No question
Hello are you gonna try the svs speakers as well ? would be nice to see what you think about those
I have. I don’t like them. They are too bright for me.
What tv mount is this?
Sanus Systems LL11-B1 is what I always use. Never tilt, alway flush.
Excelent!! 👏👏😉👍
Great video👍🏻
Holy moly dude, your room is a tip. It is so awful that it detracts from the review. I died a little inside. The review was quite good but that room -Dang!
What?
Why do you have your tv covering your fireplace though? Just keep the tv above the fireplace. And if the sound is better than the plus then why mess with the plus? Stay with the max
Don't worry so much about others
@@deyh5664bro, take your own advice and don’t be a hypocrite. Pass right on by my comment and don’t worry what I’m saying ….. this guy made a comment about the tv in front of the fireplace and the soundbar so I weighed in. 🤷🏻♀️
Great comparison, I was wondering the same thing. Max or plus with 2 subs.
I guess you need to go all out and get MAX with 2 subs 💥😍 buy the wireless connectivity box to use for MAX to connect subs.
That would be best.
Wireless connectivity box? I’m going to look that up thank you you may have just answered my question I just posted
Nice review, although i can't understand how you can be proud being a member of that cult in this information age😆
I’m struggling to see past the compression socks. Maybe a reshoot?
Ha, ha... They sure don't look good.
Your kid needs his own sound bar ?
Ha, ha... No, but I needed a room to put this thing in.
Lamborghinis are not for regular people l😂😂😂 these are made for millionaires so this sound bar is not for you if you are making 800 a week or below lol😂😂😂 so can you imagine the Nakamichi lol 😂😂😂
Where ist the Sound Check 🤦🏻♂️
What do propose that would accomplish? That is useless to do when you are listening on a phone or laptop recorded through a lav mic compressed on TH-cam.

Binaural recording 🤔
Some garage music for $2500?
I have a $25,000 system in my garage.
@@ObsessedGarage But that is because are obsessed....
@@thegeniusfoolso what, if that makes someone happy then who are you? I have a speaker system in my garage too. I only use it when working out couple hours a week, but at least i workout in absolute bliss. Treat yourself to some life every now and then, even you deserve it!
@@deyh5664 It was just a somewhat robust number for a garage. Nothing negative. Rather, quite cool. Astonishment doesn't. have to be negative, and mine here was certainly not. Was smiling with a "wow" when typing it.
Tiny subwoofer.
this video was utterly useles. Author is just talking about Dimentions and barely talks about anything else.
