Done this today, managed it under 4 hours. This boggy bits are unforgiving 😂 seen your reply on that other video and can definitely see how far you’ve come in your video production skills. Got yourself a subscriber 👍🏻
Weegie Water, Sun Tan cream factor 50 it will have to be then Hen ( Sorry Nicola ) !! I'm surprised that you are not on your own walking these days, lol What a great hill which I now have to do, thanks again Robin for a great film.
Enjoyed this one. I've climbed BV several times. Numerous people make the mistake of thinking the trig point is the summit, when the actual summit is to the west and 2 metres higher.
@@WalkWithWallace Watched this again today and just remembered coming back down and when crossing the boggy area there was a group of walkers on the steep section below filling there bottles, told them to dump it and fill up nearer the top. That boggy section had an Oily sheen on it. Walked back down chatting to an American park ranger from Texas( big bend park) who was over for three months, she said it's almost impossible to walk anywhere outside of national parks. We don't appreciate how lucky we are here.
@@alistairthow1384 the oily sheen would be peat I think? Last resort stuff though. We are really lucky and when this is all over we'll have it again. Can't wait.
That looked a canny day mind, real Spring day and very quite as well, nothing worst than wind up the Trossachs …...I always have factor 50 in my bag at the first sight of sun its on as well. Stunning views from the summit and brilliant camping spot on the minor summit (actual summit). That was a great walk out, cheers Alan
Just catching up, passed that a few times asked Billy if he wants to do it but he's no bothered. Did Ben Vane. Is that 2 shillelagh you carrying is that fur the weegies. ATB.

That's decent going, it's a cracking hill this one. I've took a wee bit of stick for that Aonach Eagach video but it was good at the time. 😁 👍🏻
Good wee video Robin , almost done the same mistake on Ben Wyvis regarding the summit.
Definitely a future camp spot
Cheers mucker, aye it's a cracking wee hill. Even the missus didn't mind it. 😂

😂 Haha, that made me chuckle. Cheers Malcolm.

Cheers John, aye we very nearly didn't visit the true top. Being a bit of a bagger, I'd have to back if I missed the true top. 😁
Great video Robin, nice to see what it looks like up there when the rain isn't hammering down Haha. Cheers! Kris.
And another. 🙈
@@WalkWithWallace Haha, love a good youtube bug 😁

Great hill to do, wonder what the snow is like. 🤔

Cheers Alan. Winter is back, have you seen the dumping of snow up here by the way? I'm not a snow worshipper. 😭
Done this walk about 2wks ago. I was a big oh no at the boggy part too. We also had some midge doing the fling at those parts. Lol
Haha, I could imagine that bit being a midge infested point, waiting for walkers to slow down to get around the bog. 😁
Great video and footage very nice indeed thanks for sharing 👍👍🇬🇧
Cheers Rod. Sorry for the mega late reply. TH-cam good at hiding comments.
What a wonderful looking walk the weather and the views were just amazing :D Thank you for taking us along with you both . Atvb :D Teddy
Thank you watching Teddy. 😊
Nice video, I remember looking over to Ben Venue last year when I went up Ben A'an and saying to myself I must go up there sometime.
Cheers mate, ironically I was thinking I need to nip up Ben A'an, then I seen how busy the car park was and just drove on.
@@WalkWithWallace I went with my niece and we headed up early to beat the crowd, we passed about 15 people heading up as we were heading back down.
@@SouthWestWildernessScotland I'd do the same, or head for the sunset. 🤔
Lovely weather for it! I suppose it's winter up there again!?
The East and the Cairngorms took the brunt of the snow. Hopefully it melts pretty quickly.

Just had to Google 'shillelagh' there. Aye, I'm tooled up just in case. 😂
Cheers
Robin

can i ask how long the climb took ?
Sure, it was around the 5hr mark. 👍🏻
@@WalkWithWallace thanks i’m going camping in a few weeks at loch achray with my 8 year old son, do u think he would
be able to manage the climb ?
@@paulliddell2517 8 is a good age to get them involved, he should be fine, but you'll know him best if he'll enjoy it.
