Overall the aftermarket exhaust is super loud! It didn't come with a DB Killer so I plan on installing one. The tone is super raspy and very loud! Honestly reminds me of a straight piped Harley
It is worth mentioning, that you will need to get a tune after installing this exhaust system. It isn't recommended to drive around without one.
The install was super simple and the previous MT-07 models fit perfect on the new 2021 model.

I just got a new mt-07 and I've been racking my brain of what exhaust I want..... Until Now! That is the sound I'm looking for. I'm not sure where you're located, however the eBay link isn't working. What did you type in on eBay? You Only just put the exhaust on to get that sound?? Great video. Consider me a subscriber. 👍😃.

its basically illegal everywhere... no CAT, easily spotted fake DB-killer... and its just too loud... its a cheap straight pipe. engine probably luns lean as hell without a PROPER tune. bring it to a trest bench, you are most likely down to about 60-65HP instead of the 75HP.
You're right! It is pretty much a straight pipe, I added a DB Killer recently to help tone it down. The engine runs great so far, but would like to eventually get it tuned.. I recommend not living in a state that does smog testing. It may be a bit loud and obnoxious, but it's a cheap alternative that sounds way better than stock! Makes the bike such a blast to ride now, literally puts a grin on my face every time! 😂 Just gotta get it tuned now
@@touchofturbo i get you, i prefer a nicer sound though, its loud, thats what a straight pipe does, but it lacks.... ''character'' what you get from an akrapovic, or an ixil. you shouldnt run it too much without having it tuned, it might be running so lean right now, you could permanently damage your bike if you run it too much like this. like i said, original pipe had 75HP, this pipe at MOST will get you 60-65 if you are lucky. becuase it is runnig very lean.

@@wildwilco with a db killer it's really not running that lean. The db killer provides back pressure which reflects back to how the bike adjusts fuel and yes it's not going to be properly fueled, it's not terribly lean. If it was, the bike wouldn't even run good. MT 07 comes running lean from the factory anyway. Like you said a tune is recommended to keep performance or add some. You don't lose that much HP mate, get ur facts together. 75 is crank hp. It makes around 67-68 hp to the wheel and running lean it makes around 63-65 depending on your environment. An IXIL hyperflow (which I believe you're referring to) is also a straight pipe, just like akrapovic without catalyst. The difference in sound comes from the padding inside the exhaust and the huge can that akra-ti has. Then again, do you want to pay 1100 euros for a slightly more richer sound rather than 150 for the perfect engine note?
I was planning to keep the original headers with kat. (eu5) And change to aftermark slip on. Makes better sound and the bike won`t run that lean since there is still the original header. Not sure how much sound it will reduce tho.

Just ordered a "type B eBay special" myself 😂. Says it has silencer but do you know if it is removable? The end looks different with 2 openings versus the 1 hole most mufflers have.

Also Leovince from 2020 fits 2021. But is illegal in EU, because of new regulation 2021.

Hey Andreas, I was wondering the same thing actually. But I also own a 2021 Mt07 and am so torn weather or not to get an “eBay special” exhaust or one of the mid ranger cheaper one like the M4 or maybe a Toce exhaust. If you gotten exhaust for your bike, could you tell me which one and if you got the 2021 version on the older one that still fits on the new Model. Thanks in advance
@@JohnSmithYeah I actually sold my MT07 and bought an MT09-SP instead... heh. So I never changed the exhaust. My gf says I got "ADHD", maybe theres something in that..

I didn't have to cut anything to make it fit. I will say the bike did backfire a lot with the new one so it's recommended to get it tuned
