I have been systematically going through all your videos and I still manage to find some I haven't watched yet!! Your content is amazing, thank you from Australia for all your time and effort 💐
I too timed myself making bath bombs and I can make them faster than a press. I have yet to find a purple or blue mica that is approved for bath bombs.
Soap & Clay your the best. Recently discovered your channel! Question...I use the same recipe. But mine sink!! I saw in the video the poke with the finger...does this create an air pocket to help it float??
I find if you have to make a large batch of bombs and your worried about the mix drying out, ill just use a separate mold for each and pack a bunch of bombs then when im done ill remove the molds from each bomb, then you won't have to worry about ha ing any mix left over, ( thats assuming that you have a bunch of molds, lol I know not everyone has large quantities of the same size/ shape)
I use to use Mica colorants, but now I use Lakes,.I still paint with mica, but the color in the tub is prettier then what mica does, that's when I decided to use Lakes. Color my world.
Hey! Humidity is not a friend to bath bombs. Wrap them as soon as possible, store them in cool dry places, and consider investing in a dehumidifier. I got one for $50 on Amazon that has been a game changer.
I learned in a class that I needed to use polysorbate 20 or 80 when using micas to disperse them evenly in the bathbomb. What is your option this? Do you use corn starch instead? Thank you.
Hey! I'm a cosmetic formulator but new to making all of the soapy and bubbly things. It's so fun! So, your polysorbate actually helps to solubilize the oil in the bath water. That in turn eliminates the mica ring from around the tub. That's how mica and polysorbates are related in bath bombs.
Is it really? I’ve never heard that, and it’s still in foods and vaccines! As an alternative, I have had good success with other non ionic surfactants and oil to water emulsifiers as well, or a combination of both. That said, if poly is banned, then the rest may be as well.
My bath bombs look so beautiful and then collapse overnight into roundish blobs, lol. I am in a humid place, but it’s winter. Any ideas why this is? PS love the channel!! New subscriber here!
I find when I personally use epsome salts in my bath bombs they get to looking like they have warts, lol! So, I changed to using slsa in my bombs and a bit of clay as well. They are super hard and smooth. I just can't understand why I get the warts to begin with, it is only when I use Epsom salt? Can you briefly explain? Of coarse you may not know if it never has happened to you. Any guidance would be appreciated, as I love to use epsom salt. I make bath salts now to compensate for my failure with bombs, lol! I horseback/trail ride, so get stiff and sore on occasion too. Getting older, lol! Thank you Jill Gross
I mean, the medical field has officially weighed in on Epsom salts and said that they are safe for kiddos, assuming they aren’t drinking the water. As parents, we all make decisions as to what we expose our kids to, so that’s definitely something to consider when looking at epsom salt bombs. :)
@@MrsSoapAndClay Thank you. I know it has great properties that are beneficial for adults, but because I am interested in making bath bombs for sale for kids and have not been able to find any info on whether it is good for kids, I thought I'd ask your opinion. Love your videos!
Kashieka Malcolm I would leave them out of kids bombs and instead focus on like oatmeal and stuff - still skin soothing but without the stigma. Makes first time moms more comfortable. ❤️
Hi! Thanks for watching! Yup, banging the crap out of the bombs helps compress them, and also gets your frustrations out in a productive manner. Bonus! 😂❤️
Hey! Thanks for watching. Micas are minerals and by their nature have a shimmer to them. I have found that you don’t have to use much to get the color you desire in lotion without the shimmer, but if you don’t want to risk the potential shimmer, I would use a liquid colorant. Oxides and pigments aren’t good for lotion as they will leave color streaks on skin or (in the case of oxides) will let off a sulphuric smell. Like, Santa Monica pier smell. Not good. 😂
2 parts baking soda, 1 part citric acid, and up to 1 part of everything else combined. So if you want to use epsom and corn starch, for example, combine them to get 1 part.
Why are you using the most expensive way to color your bath bombs? You have to use way too much mica. Why not use colorants specifically made for soaps?
I’m not using way too much of anything; as I state in the video, my bath bomb micas are cut with corn starch. Also, these are colorants made specifically for soap - but these are bath bombs. Which makes them not soap but cosmetics. I have several videos that can help you figure out the difference.

Wondering if I Could you just put mixture in glass jar and scoop in bath as needed
You can totally use the bath bomb mixture unmolded!

Beautiful work I’m having a problem where to store bath bombs they get hard and after a week they go soft please any advice

I'm a big fan of your art ❤❤
is there anyway to incorporate goats milk into bath bombs? I want to make my sudsy business centered around goat milk
love that grandma is the OG 🤣
Love the video, as usual! When you say ‘cut with cornstarch’, how much cornstarch goes in? Does this help the mica to not sit on top of the water?
I cut it 3:1, cornstarch to mica. I have found that this does help with the floaty bits!
@@MrsSoapAndClay thank you so much ♥️
Another beautiful product, thank you
This and YOU are soooooo cool‼‼💯😁
It will start feeling like kinetic sand = you were one of the rich kids who got the toys from the comercials😂
(I have no clue what that feels like)

First thought is a bit too much water, or when you’re mixing you’re citric acid in. Have you tried this recipe? Let me know how this one goes!
@@MrsSoapAndClay I’ll do that! Thank you!
I was hoping for an exact recipe with everything I need to know to make my own.
Ha - check the bath bomb playlist. I do that like 6 times. 😂
I hope this isn’t a silly question... is there a Bomb for hair?

I read this as "changed to using salsa". LOL!!
My water looks dull not crystal clear and I am getting desperate here. Please help enlighten me 💕
Thanks for sharing and keep inspiring!
My bombs get cracked I leave them outside for a day I don't know if that's the reason, please help.
Can you post a link for the molds you are using, please?
I found mine on ebay, but they do have them on Amazon, as well, or you ould try looking on Etsy,
Do you have a recipe for the bath bombs? Thankyou for your video
There’s a bath bomb playlist with recipes on the channel!
Such beautiful bombs!!!! LOVE how your recipe sounds so simple!!!!
where do I find this mold
Are your bath bombs suitable for kids with the epsom salt included?
I mean, the medical field has officially weighed in on Epsom salts and said that they are safe for kiddos, assuming they aren’t drinking the water. As parents, we all make decisions as to what we expose our kids to, so that’s definitely something to consider when looking at epsom salt bombs. :)

@@MrsSoapAndClay Thanks for the advice
Is it ok to leave salt out of the bath bomb recipe plus any tips for a country where humidity is high during summer?
Salt can be left out, for sure! I would reduce the water content to 1/2 tbsp, or add a 1/4c kaolin Clay to the mixture for very humid areas. :)
@@MrsSoapAndClay I am using kaolin clay... not using water but using witch hazel
I’ve never had luck with witch hazel in bath bomb recipes!
@@MrsSoapAndClay so I replace it with water instead..Any tips for fizzing
To increase the fizz? Higher ratio of citric acid. :)
Do you bloom your mica first. I can't get my bombs so vibrant. 😫
Hi! I don’t bloom my micas - they are mixed with cornstarch which helps them distribute better. :)
Thank you for the video. Do you have the recipe??
Thanks! Recipe in the video. ❤️
@@MrsSoapAndClay hmm I am not hearing it for the baking soda, epsom salt (dry ingredients)
Great website! Who helped you design it?
My web developer is responsible for that! ❤️
Great video! Is she banging in on the counter to pack the bath bomb? Thanks!
Hi! Thanks for watching! Yup, banging the crap out of the bombs helps compress them, and also gets your frustrations out in a productive manner. Bonus! 😂❤️
What oil did you use in your bath bombs?
Hey! Since we produce on a giant scale, we use sunflower oil because it’s one that very few people are allergic to, but any lightweight oil works.
@@MrsSoapAndClay thank you
You don’t want to use a bath bomb press?
Yeah I don’t use bath bomb presses! Have tested them, and I make bombs faster by hand than what the machine does, so I continue on old school.
Is pretty love it
Where do u get ur micas?
I get mine mostly from mad micas - all micas in bath bomb videos are cut with corn starch to help dispersion in the batch.
What size plastic molds are used in mm?
These are 70mm I believe.
@@MrsSoapAndClay thank you 😊

If the epsom salt bath bombs help for your aches you should try a cbd hemp bath bomb it’s amazing!!!

Can please write the ingredients &steps out please

I’m sorry, but why does the intro sound like it was made with iMovie 😂
Because it was! Why are you messaging this on multiple videos? 🤡
Way too much mica. A little goes a long way, but great video.
Hi! As I explained in the video, these micas are cut with corn starch, so the amount used is deceiving. Thanks for the input, though!
