John George The audience weren't "phony" at all on the word. Mostly ticket holders to whatever band was playing on the show and then playing later at whatever venue! Then you had your ravers! Totp audience were ridiculously crap and told when to make a noise or not, other lesser shows at the time had hired dancers which was cringe to say the least but the word was okay! I was there with about ten mates when cypress Hill played and then went off to see them with house of pain. The word was great!
