for those who don't know: in dragon quest, metal enemies like metal king slimes/the big blob with the crown drop a lot of xp when you kill them like absurdly lot
@@enwarrior8163 yep the max xp drop from the plat king slimes were that much when i played dq 9 but then in dq11 there is a pep power which (correct me if im wrong) multiplies the xp drop u get which can further increase the xp amount

But I grew up with a lot of the games. 6, 8, 9 for the main games, the original dragon warrior monsters (to which I still have the original cartridge and my first game Console to play it on, a pink GBA), rocket slime, treasures, and a few others. I hope 9 gets a switch remake because that was the only multi-player main game and I loved the armor weapon selections on there. Managed to one-shot every boss up to Corvus' second form at one point (then made the mistake of being cocky and facing corvus after fighting barbarus, thus ending said the streak at 19 boss monsters one-shoted in a row)

My first time I defeated a Metal King Slime was in Dragon Quest VIII and my face lit up when I saw that 20,000 exp. I was 16 at the time. Metal slime hunting was my favorite thing to do. I would track how many points left for my next class level up and do this literally every day in a very specific spot. I used Spear weapons to increase my chances of killing them with a critical and it was satisfying every single time Great times. DQ8 is my favorite PS2 game of all time. Metal slimes were also great for the Monster Arena

@@chuganoga1908 there was news that dqx offline was being released in other asian countries. When this happens the games get translated to multiple languages including english. So next year we might be able to get it through Playasia.
It’s such a crime that this game never got an official release to the US!! I think the fan base would have supported it especially those still hungry after DQ8
Man I love the Paladin class with hammers. I love the monster taming classes in this game also. I need to hop back on. I just started version 4.0 when I last played. This is the best MMORPG ever.

yes, you have to make a Japanese switch account. if you live in the us you should be able to play it fine, but if you live outside the us you are going to need a vpn. other than that the only problem will be the language barrier, but for this game its worth it

@@llendar Yeah, I have been trying that out. It's great but I don't use the API stuff alongside it so there are parts that don't get translated. It's a great game though and the people who made Clarity are wonderful.

@@ArkThePieKing I'm serious, if you run into a metal slime in dragon quest 1 and you use the torch item it will kill them. The torch does 4 damage to them I think and they only have 3 hp.

I like the dragon quest games but come on, could’ve the developers put 50% of the EXP we gain into the Money we get! We basically get 1000 EXP and roughly 150 coins from battle.
Around 56k exp if i remenber correctly : Metal slime = 1k Triple metal slime =3k Mercure slime = 10k Metal king slime : 42k But those value sometime change between dragon quest game
@@clinteastwood1416 didn't play DQMJ for a long time so can't tell but if i remember correctly its more than 20k and more around 45k , but again its values change between game . The mercure slime was 10k in DQMJ2

About 400,000 in my experience, which in this game is enough to take you from level 1 to around level 40.

There's an english translation patch which has a lot of stuff translated manually and the rest is machine translated.

nah, it's content to increase low levels faster, the game currently has 130 as the max level and from lvl 90 onwards you need 1M exp per level

Because it's Dragon Quest. If it weren't instanced, it wouldn't be Dragon Quest. It would be Generic MMO #4325, now with Dragon Quest flavoring.
