- Sorry for the blurred video. This scammer tried to get the video pulled. So I had to blur his face.
So This video was sent to me by a loyal follower over on Instagram. This video does bring up a lot of red flags if you ask me. I’m pretty sure all of you know what a peg being ripped open sounds like. Well the packs are being open it was way too quiet. The packs weren’t even being open on camera and his body was partially off-camera. Another thing I noticed before he opened up every pack he would look directly into the screen almost to make sure that he was completely off screen before opening it. Anyone that breaks and doesn't show you on camera what packs are being ripped, don't do business with them. Great video my friend.
If you listen on the last pack he "opened" he made the opening sound himself. Plus the order of cards is wrong. I've seen enough Spectra to know that this was way off. Total BS

I’ve been collecting sports cards for more than 50 years. Take my word for it; there is a disproportionate number of scumbags who rob others in all aspects of the business. Whether it be buyers screwing people out of their cards for Pennies on the dollar (watch “Mr. Mint” video), graders, breakers, resellers and even the card companies themselves, always be wary of anything that sets your alarms off. Where ever their is big money there will be crooks trying to enrich themselves.
Breaking is the biggest waste of money in the hobby.
if you go to the casino once a week and spend 80$ its alright... same with cards.

I always watch the breaker a few times before I break with them, I would never break with this guy, taking cards out of view of camera is a bid red flag in this business, that’s all I needed to see, lots of shady business. People need to know this stuff. Good video
He furthered the suspicion by removing comments from all his TH-cam videos and taking down his Instagram presence after this started trending in the hobby forums instead of defending himself. It was also reported that he had several raw Anthony Edwards Spectrum cards for sale on his Ebay account and removed them after the likely scam was exposed. He's gaining a huge interest in his company like I'm sure he wanted but unfortunately for all the wrong reasons. I agree. This dude is bad news and needs to look for another line of work because his card breaking days are numbered.

Much like other shady breakers that didn't show the pack(s) being ripped open visually, it seems like they all suffer from the T-Rex Short Arm Syndrome....

I always watch a few videos of breakers before I decide to join a break. Ebay breakers, i check out their feedback but ya never can be too careful. If a breaker isn't opening packs on camera, don't even bother getting in on their breaks because you should already know it's shady. All you can do is trust your judgment with breakers and again, do a bunch of research on them before buying in. Good luck y'all!

I noticed that the paul george card was upside-down being the last card but the last pack wasn't like that

Buy & rip your own cards..I know it’s expensive but you could get into a break & come away WITH NOTHING compared to having every single card yours. Guys like this clown are the reason I don’t do breaks. I’ve only used Laytons & Jaspys & it’s been well over a yr since I’ve done a break

no way man he can hold the cards in view just fine, just picture a pack in his hands instead of the cards... no reason to open a pack off camera in this footage that i see. the times that i have seen people open packs off screen they usually give a frustrated reasoning of why they have to do it and it never takes 1 second lol.... maybe there is a lot of people who don't know what its like to open a pack i guess but it should never be like a magic trick lol

He was trying to get my account shut down by claiming i was stealing his video and showing people his name and face for malicious reasons. TH-cam made me blur all that was blurred out or loose my rights to post

I only break with 3 people Rungood, Breaks N Takes, and I occasionally break with Layton for the big stuff but Break N Takes are the best

DON'T GET INTO BREAKING EVEN WITH REPUTABLE BREAKERS. PLEASE DON'T DO IT. BREAKING IS GAMBLING AND IT IS NOT GUARANTEED. ALOT OF THE TIME YOU WILL PAY LIKE 200 FOR A TEAM AND ONLY GET BASE AND LIKE A 5 DOLLAR INSERT

i thought one of the most fundamental necessities of being a breaker was to show and exercise ABSOLUTE transparency whilst opening other peoples packs!?, to that degree its absolutely vital that EVERYTHING is open and shown in frame with no interruptions whilst doing so?!......but sooo many of these breakers fall down at this hurdle.....even if theyre legit or not, seems so fucking stupid to me!!!!!
yup scammer, it even looked odd when he opened the box yeah he cut the top held weirdly unwrapped pulled it on the bottom looked taped up and faked opening them or he sealed them lightly the sound was way off 100%, shady scammer
*This stuff makes me really sad… the entire point of this hobby is because we love it. We love baseball or NBA or football or whatever… & we just want to collect… & to think someone is literally willing to steal from people trusting him… he’s not JUST stealing their money… he’s stealing their chance at a great memory..*
As for the scam itself…his is incredibly obvious…
1) Opening off camera… WHY????
2) No sound of pack opening
3) Way they come back on camera.. is it just me or is the orientation that he brings the stack back in view just… OFF???? It feels almost like uncanny valley, like your brain feels that how he brings them into view, it’s not correct… can’t tell if it’s the angle, the height, or the speed.. but it’s way “off”..
What he’s doing is obvious as well… what he’s doing is he sets the fresh pack off camera… & he simply has previously opened stacks that he swaps into view… these would just be cards he personally didn’t want. Of course he’s gonna slip in a few low end “hits” or it would be even more obvious…
What really sucks… is I’m someone that buys singles, because I just can’t afford to drop $500 on a hobby box for a CHANCE of a card.. however, the IDEA of breakers is so great… & I wanted to get into it… but this stuff ruined that for me :/

How long have you been ripping packs? I’ve watched 100’s of 1000’s of videos of packs being ripped. I have never not heard that sound while packs are being torn

SOME breakers are scammers. Not all.
Also, just because his Mic is set up to cancel background noises(unlike yours) doesn't mean he's not opining the packs. Do some research before you make assumptions
